Besides, I doubt that she had helped to see the Pope, if he knew he were guilty.
That is just a theory - totally. I have no idea how it works, but it makes sense to me.

Yes you can, but the vote is taken very seriously by many RC priests who have gone to jail rather than break the "seal of confession."

I do not think anyone can be "forced" by the Police to give details of everything that is said anywhere. Therefore the right to remain silent.

I do not think so, but I think a judge can. So hopefully if there are "some" of the priest with 'dark secrets'….

Nope. There was even a Hitchcock film based on that, I confess. The priest heard the confession of a murder and then was accused of murder.
It is called the seal of confession, and is inviolable.
