After taking Communion Missing the week before the Mass?
Me and my girlfriend are Catholic and receive the Eucharist. We had a question
Is it true if you forget the week before the mass, which may not receive the Eucharist until you make a confession. Is this really true or is it a myth that parents say.

If you deliberately do not attend Mass without a good reason (like illness), you have committed a mortal sin. Then committed another mortal sin to receive communion before going to confession first. However, if you sincerely ignorant of the facts, has not committed the sin and you can not commit a mortal sin without sufficient knowledge.
