Romania is one of the most unique nations in Europe, similar to any other. It is a nation with a long history disjointed and aggravated by the state of various world powers, through jihad conquest and European alike. Geography of the region is a complicated story with a variety of ethnic groups occupying empires, and religious. Its original inhabitants were of Iranian origin Thracian tribes in Thrace, in pre-Slav Bulgaria and Romania, and western Anatolia. The Roman conquest and invasion earlier this fall Slavic displaced ethnic minorities, but many of the Romanians and scholars continue to debate the extent to which modern descendants of the Romanians, whether Slavs, Thracians, or both. It is a great cultural mix of Slavs and independent, with a Latin-based language, a consequence of its position between the volatile Slavic, Roman and Greek world, as well as the center of Roman Dacia governed and Latin-speaking empires after crossover of the 4th Crusade of the 13th century. It has a rich Orthodox Christian heritage. His greatest historical heroes of today are regarded by the West as the new mass murderers of Jews and Muslims alike, including Hitler's greatest and most loyal ally and Ioan Antonescu mythified Vlad Dracul "the Impaled." His disunified states of Moldova and Walachia came under the brutal rule of the Islamic Jihad by the Ottoman Turks during nearly four centuries, when many were forced to convert or face inhospitable conditions or the mass execution. It was the most dramatic transitions in the Cold War as a strong and a fascist state in volatile and unstable communist state under the Warsaw Pact. After the war, the northern part of Romania also called Moldova declared its independence due to the unfulfilled promises of the Soviet Union collapsed of additional rights, which today is divided between Moldova proper and pro-Russian Transnistria (not recognized ). Therefore, due to their complex and turbulent history were among the first to enjoy its allegedly growing tourism industry. We landed in Constanza (Constance), which is often very poor, but it is an accurate indicator of the situation of Roma and the poverty of Romania can not benefit from the rich Hungarian influence in the West (especially in Transylvania ), or the business of Bucharest.
Romanians in Romania and in the diaspora alike often blame the calamity and the slowness of the difficulties of their nation in a race that is hated in every country where one is standing: the Gypsies. Upon arrival, I was surprised that these racist and degrading to the claims of these people as criminal, misleading, and thieves were true. These "Roma" or "felt" people who are descended from migrations from northern India (and thus maintain this culture, and often in religious syncretism link), were installed along the centuries Black Sea, where they were systematically destroyed throughout the Middle Ages almost all the nations in which they live. Jewish settlers have suffered a similar fate, and then alongside them in what is now called the Holocaust. They are seen by Romanians as leeches and a bacillus which only drains the native Romanian economy, therefore, the view of many Romanian fascist leaders of the past, however, as very brutal figures were a social problem and addressed without remorse. A Romanian who asked why Romania is not involved in the Rome responded to the problem, "How? Unfortunately, Antonescu and Hitler are dead. "This characteristic makes social Romania unique in this era of post-World War liberalism. Today, the Roma (Gypsies) through the streets on every corner begging for money, many almost naked (some adults and many children use only a large shirt to cover ġenetali, often not), written to alleviate their hardship and the suffering they have faced since settled. That defecating in the streets. At least 5 of the cruise ship's passengers were stolen by gypsies, each losing their entire portfolio. Do not wash clothes or hair, clothes and food were taken from the disposal basins, not shave, and each appears to be an illness with cough (possibly to inspire sympathy). They sleep on the floor or illegally in houses whose walls have been bombed or destroyed during the wars that the country has been unable to alleviate. Turn a corner showed a gypsy woman laying sick in the field - conveniently in full public view - a cough with thick mucus report. Whether or not it is a legitimate oppressed and homeless people or a group of leeches scam, most Romanians regard as the last. Some, however, offered Romanian Lei of coins (which is virtually worthless currency), but again fell to the alleged "act" Tourists tend to be sympathetic. One Romanian told me that she regularly donated to the local gypsies, all the time punished for his brother, who then took her to northern Romania, where gypsies had huge houses that she called "palaces", which considers This obviously a big lie and swindle the natives. In one example, I saw a boy with dirty clothes and unwashed face begging for coins to be greeted with sad tourists' faces and open bags, only to walk with a pair of headphones in the ears of an iPod or other listening device. Elsewhere, I have actually seen the Romanians claim child beating Roma or parents, and one even spat at them. Outside the mosques and Christian churches in Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine, who are still outside the property with the open hand, asking for donations, while saying "God bless you" and emulating a Christian cross. This is totally a false Christian inspiration to philanthropy, as the Gypsies are not a Christian race, but rather a syncretism of the native religion of India, combined with the culture that infiltrates. It is interesting - all over a lunch of pizza kind of disastrous mackerel fish (called a delicacy) - to see that Roma parents literally trained their children even before they could talk with the Romanian and visitors Panhandle . The same Slavic gypsy crash occurs in Bulgaria (see our article in Bulgaria).
Elsewhere, Constanta Romania seems to have a major port because of the great military Axis period, therefore, of Romania in the city seems fairly simple and smoggy. Turkish military ships enter the port frequently, some with foreign launchers. The theft is considered common in Romania, as is corruption, but in reality (or the belief of the inhabitants), the former is attributed to gypsies and Muslims. The communists were seen as more corrupt now, the Communist dictator of the Warsaw Pact period mowed for about 7,000 homes and churches for their 12-room mansion, apparently. Fascism is held in high esteem in Romania, although many do not like, because the fate of what Romania (due to the opposition of fascism to the Soviets and Americans). Liberal democracy is also considered weak (although usually the best at this time) in Romania, because it is unable to quickly relieve the raft of Romania is facing problems due to fears of inequality and lack of freedom.
Approximately 50% of the buildings outside of downtown are half finished, torn open the windows or roofs, or generally in poor condition. There are thousands and thousands of birds (especially swallows) flying everywhere (which was actually quite fun rather than annoying). Passing through the city even though it seemed that most of the parts that are objectionable and impoverished to a degree few had imminent Romanians, Turks or Roma. Romania is evil, however, poor and in ruins. I estimated that Romania is a Romanian 75%, 10% of Romanies, 14% Turkish, and 1% other, even at this "resort city". Romania was a great source for exploring the social conflicts between different races and ethnicities, as well as a complex political history in this world of perception democratic ideal. The food is a mix of Indian, Turkish, Italian, Russian, and some parts of Germany. Restaurants are in the street (outdoor) in general, a fun feature that the gypsies were taking advantage of the misfortune. Most people in the streets are very young (15 years old or younger) or older. Young people do not dress promiscuously in general, unlike (as I have seen by adolescents) in Ukraine, Russia and the United States. The cars are old and worn. The reasons are unpaved, pedestrian travel as we have seen consistently throughout the day. The drivers are relatively safe in comparison with Turkey horrible, but in Bucharest traffic is so compact that it is almost nonfunctional. There are police and soldiers everywhere and almost every major building with machine guns. There are no monuments to the communist view, Romania is proud of its heritage and history, because everything that has endured for centuries. However, there are few, which the garbage in the streets, except near homes Gypsies. There are seldom good graffiti, but some signs of swastikas and communism can be seen throughout the cities. The government seems to be making efforts to fix their country for the previous construction and repair of buildings and large tracts of homes, and even aquariums. This is difficult due to the fact that Romania must develop its capital Bucharest, first, ignoring the rest of the nation (which is a huge problem in Greece).
Romania's currency in the past, the old Lei, was so useless that the government adopted a tactic of Mexico, Italy and Turkey by slashing the number of zeros of its value. "New Law" is relatively high compared to other currencies of poor nations, but gypsies and local store owners to take advantage of the mathematical difficulties, as well as tourists to the ignorant are double or worse. Almost no one speaks English, but for young people is often mandatory. There are few shops for visitors, as they do not expect.
The role of religion was also interesting to see here. Romania Romania and the states of the past have always been strong Russian Orthodox and Ruthenian like their ancestors, although there is a presence of Catholism partly due to the influence of their military allies against the Jihad in the next groundshaking Muslims, including Hungary Catholics (and therefore, Hungarian Transylvania), Lithuania, Poland and Germany. The history of the influence of the Germans (a culture of most Lutheran) has also caused Lutheranism to be common as well. There are magnificent Orthodox churches around the world who are very beautiful, decorated with gold leaf and massive crosses over with the traditional Orthodox slashes. Despite decades of atheist communist (which rejected the Romanians, because one of the few Soviet vassals to completely overthrow the puppet government), the Romanians are a people with a proud Orthodox religious heritage. Religion is used here as a binding family, as well as a central theme in Romanian cultural and historical heritage, which survived centuries of rule of Hungary and the Catholic Golden Horde and Ottoman Turks to emerge only as strong as before Orthodox. As early as 0700 until 1600, the Romanians can be seen attending churches in the city during the week even. There is less money for the basins of donations, a trait that is common in the Catholic world (in various languages properly), and rarely charge for visitors to light candles to celebrate the saint of the Orthodox saints. Churches are minimalist in that there are none or few chairs for a primitive communion by a priest as he or metropolitan. At all hours of the day, visitors expect Orthodox popes. Participants should bring long pants, while women should wear veils or cover their heads and shoulders, as Orthodoxy is extremely conservative Islam. Christians who come can be seen in public before a metropolitan knees, covering his head with a tie-wrap as the saint of his chest, in which both participate in the prayer out loud (yet quiet) for all to see this expression of faith. There are no confessionals in Catholicism. Participants can see the lighting of candles to the saints, and bowing his head while holding his hands against mosaics of the saints for prayer. Whereas in Islam holy body facing Mecca (or Mekka), and in Catholicism faces a large cross in the center, here the phrase is often confronted with the old portraits of saints dating back hundreds of years of age. This was a nice experience, and reveal much about Romania's unique culture, heritage and history. Romania has unfortunately a long way to go to return to former glory when they were recognizable against a continental power against the Turks and the Allies of World War II.
The role of Islam - always controversial and heated in Europe who fought against Jihad by its more than 1200 years throughout the continent - is also fascinating here in Romania. Romanians had resisted the threat of Islam for more than a thousand years, even before Romania was unified after independence from the Ottomans. Turks Kipchaks (Penechegs), the Turkish Avars, and the powerful Sunni Golden Horde had constantly assaulted the region over centuries of Jihad, which claimed over the standard Hungarian Romanian States to collapse. Since the 15th century onwards, the powerful Romanian state of Moldavia and Walachia were quickly trampled under the boot of the largest superpower in the world of Jihad: the Sunni Ottoman Empire. Christian European nations such as Prussia, Germany, Hungary, Italian city-states, Transylvania, the Balkans remain at large of the Jihad, and Russia joined the collapse of the Romanian state to fight Islam and the Turks. Prince of Walachia Vlad Dracul was known as the "Impala" (and the greatest hero in Romania) for his heroic defense of the natives against the Islamic invaders, which are known to have killed tens and tens of thousands of Muslim settlers, impaling into play when you enjoy your favorite wine and local delicacies, having expired. When he finally obliterated Jihad central Romania, the state of Moldova offers an impressive and loyal defense before he also became annihilated, all of Romania was ruled by the Islamic Ottoman Empire from the 16th century until the 19 when lifted in a war of independence after that Romania was unified.
Due to this long history of brutal Islamic (and also of the brutal slaughter of Muslims by Christians native settlers), one would expect a large Muslim population of Turks and make them equal. Fascinating, there are few. Again, the Romanians are proud of their resilience and endurance all while in the center of many world empires "expansionist efforts. Romanian Slavic culture is clearly Christian and Greek. However, it is undoubtedly a large population of Muslim Turks who were settled during the centuries of foreign domination, as well as the massive foreign guest worker programs in the new Turkey in Europe (especially Germany and Greece). There is a small but extremely loyal Muslim population, some of them are white Slavs who were forced to convert to avoid execution, persecution, or completely uninhabitable taxes (the Jizyah) levied on the Christian calendar (like the Jews were dead or long past) or who can barely survive without eating them. There are several mosques in Romania (Constanta and two), which made a deep impression on me. Poor in places like Albania and Romania with little defensive measures against terrorism, walking around the mosque is quite alarming for a tourist or even Christian natives. A mosque was surrounded by a number of Turkish and Roma (strangely), which led immediately clear to our security. The other mosque in the city center is very large and glorious. A huge half moon with a minaret as its center congratulated the great dome of the city far more attractive building for the exclusion of the Orthodox churches radiant. The unbelievers are allowed to enter (unlike in Albania), if one pays a high price of 5 euros per participant. The administrators of this mosque becomes white majority of the past. Inside, an empty room is decorated by dozens of huge handmade carpets, the walls decorated with wonderful flowers, vines, and the passages Arabic (Surah) al-Quran all the way to the top of the large building. Interestingly, the only fully maintained in a vertical position and city buildings were mosques or Orthodox cathedrals. You must remove your shoes, legs and shoulders covered, and women should not veil or head, if the entrance of the mosque itself. However, in this mosque operators are able to experience something almost impossible anywhere else in the world: to increase the minaret (the needle pillars around the mosques from which the call to prayer is sounded). From there, the whole city can be seen, with the mosque intentionally over the Christian town. Later in the day, a quiet call to prayer can be heard from the mosque. Romanians appeared irritated by it, while the few ethnic Turks seemed to rush by dozens. Plates in the local mosque fervently thank Turkish mosque to pay for the air conditioning system. A rare privilege, I tried to look at prayer in the mosque of the magnets only to be expelled as an infidel by the owner. Islam is rejected then and here now, but mark Jihad stands firm in the scope of world's largest empire for centuries: the Ottomans.
Romania gets closer to entry into the EU, which will allow all movements for the rest of the European Union Member States. Other European countries rejected this because the fact that Romanian immigrants in general do not work, that crime and drugs, and uneducated, when in the diaspora.
