Are the differences between Catholics and Protestants that important?
Many say yes and no.
If we look at some of the differences that even in the Protestant belief system denying salvation.
Some would look at certain practices as unbiblical, but I would say that it can be found in Scripture, but at worst, could be classified as extra-biblical.
The confession is not a bad thing and the bible says that to each other. Even the Communion, Catholics believe they receive the real pressence of Jesus and his grave, but there is nothing wrong with that.
Do you think the key is that different than what they think some churches, like the snake handler churches in the mountains.
O reveals that when you follow the Bible alone that everything that is different from their own personal interpretation is classified as unbiblical to you personally.
Does that create a situation in which the whole world just believe different things from the same book and that is what God wanted.
It is clear that the church no matter how isint either turn!

The Sacrifice of the Mass and the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
The canon of the Old Testament that Catholics used is based on the text used by the Jews of Alexandria, a version known as the "Septuagint", which entered into force in about 280 BC and then a translation of existing texts from Hebrew to Greek by 72 Jewish scribes (the Torah was translated first, around 300 BC, and the rest of Tanach was translated later).
The Septuagint is the Old Testament is referred to in the Didache, or "Doctrine of the Apostles (first century Christian writings) and by Origen, Irenaeus of Lyons, Hippolytus, Tertullian, Cyprian of Carthage, Justin Martyr, St. Augustine and the great Most of the early Christians that Scripture refers in his writings. The Epistle of Clement, written in the first century, refers to books and Wisdom Ecclesiasticus, analyzed the book of Judith, and cites the articles in the book of Esther have been removed from Protestant Bibles.
In the 16th c., Luther, in response to serious abuses and corruption of public office in the Latin Church, to his own heretical theology (see articles on one fide and sola scriptura), and frankly, their own internal of demons, removed the books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating to an appendix. Thus eliminating the books that support such things as prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12, 2 Maccabees 12:39-45), Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7), intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14), and the intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15). Ultimately, the "reformers" decided to ignore the fee determined by the Christian Council of Hippo and Carthage.
The Roman Catholic Church not ignored the post-temple rabbincal texts. Some translations of the Old Testament canon used by the Roman Catholic Church is also based rabbinical part in the translation, for example, the 5th St. Jerome c. Latin translation of the Bible called the Vulgate.
The Masoretic text "refers to the translation of the Old Testament made by rabbis between 6 and 10 centuries, the phrase does not refer to ancient texts in the Hebrew language. Some people think that the Masoretic texts are "unique" and that, simply because they are in Hebrew, which is superior.
Some Protestants argue that the "Apocrypha" is not listed on the New Testament is, therefore, are not canonical.
Going by that standard of proof, we have to pull Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Lamentations, Obadiah, Nahum, Zephaniah, and because none these books of the Old Testament quoted in the New Testament.
But there is a larger lesson in all this confusion not only about the canon, but the correct translation of the canon, especially given that even within the Catholic Church has been diverging views on the part of theologians on the place of deuterocanonicals (not an individual theologian of views count in the teaching of teachers).
The lesson, however, is as follows: based on the "Bible alone" is a bad idea, do not want to rely solely on Scripture to understand the message of Christ. While scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness "(2 Timothy 3:16-17), is not enough for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness .
The Church is "the pillar and ground of truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)!
Jesus came not to write a book, came to redeem, and founded a sacramental Church through His apostles show us the path.
It is them, the Fathers of the Church, the Sacred Deposit of Faith, the living Church which is guided by the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures and that we must seek in prayer.
1500 The Protestant reformers thought were significant differences.
Protestants believe the Bible is the final authority. Roman Catholics believe the Pope and the traditions is the final authority.
"The just shall live by faith" is the evangelical doctrine of justification. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 says we are saved by grace through faith, and this is not to make our own, is a gift from God, not of works. Rome rejects this doctrine. Rome is either incorrect or the New Testament is correct - can not be right.
It is not a personal interpretation of how it is when the church was created. Paul makes clear that Timothy and Titus. Pastors are to be married, the husband of one wife, have their families under control, being the lightest drinker so I never priest is the word used in connection with the Christian Church or nun or celibacy (we all know what that leads too) Jesus I eat meat, said: "These words are the flesh profits nothing spiritual." and later in the upper room, "Do this in remembrance of me", not literally.
Indulgences, confession to a priest instead of Jesus (There is one mediator between God and man, Paul tells us, the man Christ Jesus). I could go on and on throughout the day.
Here is the difference Protestants hate Catholics because they can not control them and the Protestants hate again because you do not want to be controlled (so that "protest"?) And now America is to rule them all, and a third type Bible and salvation through money! oh and doctrine of war to the Muslims of other fans out there that even what exists is like religion
Ohhh I love this hole fertilizer called Earth!
No, there is not much difference in a group of people misled and, in my opinion. They differ only in details of their delusions. Some schizophrenics see spiders, other little green men.
Catholics have a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell. Cleary Catholics are not saved Christians.
