Are there still many pedophile priests in the Catholic schools?
I am considering enrolling my son in a Catholic school. but I am concerned about what is sexually molested.
This issue has been resolved by the church and therefore have nothing to worry about?
- Why do people still have their children about the Catholic priests?
- Catholic priests can masturbate? What if you have wet dreams?
- Thousands of children have been molested by priests; Should the Catholic Church lose its tax exemption?
- Why a question about if there were still any pedophile priests in the Catholic Church in Rape?
- Why werent Aressted The Catholic priests as criminals and tried Pedophile?

About the same number as pedophile teachers in the public school system. The union protects them.
You have nothing to worry about. Although there is no way to stop a pedophile actually have access to children in any institution, the possibility that a pedophile could become a priest and then find the opportunity to harass a child in a Catholic school is very low.
It is against the policies of most Catholic schools for any adult with a child alone at any time. This is partly the product of the scandal, and in part a move by schools in general, after extensive litigation.
In addition, priests wont 'be teaching your child - Catholic schools to hire credentialed teachers as well as state schools do. Your son probably the priest twice a week for Mass and religious education, and will be in an environment with the rest of his class.
If sexual abuse is concerned, you should worry more about the teachers, the impact of sexual abuse by teachers in schools is much higher than that of priests.
It has always been rare for anyone to be molested by a priest. Statistics show that children are more confident about the Catholic priests than any other group in society. It is more likely to be molested by a teacher or a family member of a priest. I have never met a priest who was a pedophile and the majority of cases were many years ago and the perpetrators are already dead and can not defend against the charges. The Church has made extraordinary efforts to ensure that this does not happen, the selection of candidates for the priesthood with more care, assistance and payment of restitution prosecution, including the alleged victims, even without trial or evidence. I can not say that they have absolutely nothing to worry about, but is more likely that their children be safe around a priest who anyone. God bless!

Some of this depends on what has been achieved in their local dioceses. You should investigate the issues and see where things stand.
In my case, I met with the superintendent of Catholic schools in the diocese, as well as the Vicar General (who was in charge of this particular issue) and I came away convinced that our children are probably safer in our Catholic Schools what would have been in our public schools, which even recently has had problems with coercing teachers students sex and a general lack of security (in one of our local primary schools, a known sex offender walked in school and hung in a bathroom until they reached a child, who was attacked. Fortunately, the girl began to scream and the man was captured - our Catholic schools have security systems and can not get in the door without being cleaned.
Talking with the director of its parochial school, and also with his pastor. Ask to see documentation of what has been done to protect children in his parish. Ask about policies, such as background checks and systems of friends (in our school, children do not go anywhere alone - always in pairs and trios of security).
If the facts are not to your satisfaction, you should not enroll their children in school, and you should let your bishop why you have doubts.
(Also, be sure to check out any other school you send your child with the same diligence. Be wary of any program that puts the burden of protecting children in themselves.)
