Are you Catholic priests should be allowed to married?
I stumbled across this YouTube clip of Father Alberto Cutié and the scandal surrounding his affair with a woman ….. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYKaVCyIX …
It was very interesting, to say the least. I did not know of the problems are with the Catholic priests celebacy.
As a devout Roman Catholic, I found this particularly interesting story and my opinion is
Yes I feel they should be allowed to marry. I think people lose sight, myself included, that Catholic priests are as human as us and who want romantic relationships, as most people.
However, it seems that Catholic priests are so high that as soon as you have the slightest mess-up, is the whole story, as evidenced by this story.
What do you think?
- Why are some Catholic churches allowed married priests and others not?
- Catholic priests are not allowed to marry-reuslt? Child abuse and abuse nun?
- Do you agree that Catholic priests should be allowed to marry?
- Give me a convincing reason why Catholic priests are not allowed to marry.
- Roman Catholics, how do you feel about the issue of married priests?

The Church is best served by celibate priests. I am a married priest and the challenges of being a good shepherd to the flock and for the family does not serve anyone. I think by the time the discipline of a celibate priesthood is best for the Church.
The problem of lack of the father. Cutie at the height of their vote is a failure to honor a vow to God that sin is a much more serious than having a rendezvous with his mistress. God bless!

There are a few things about the Catholic Church that made me think it was better for me. At that time, some of them are matters of faith.
One was the whole thing celibacy for the priesthood. Another was the whole penis thing for the priesthood. It irritated me that, although it could have served in the priesthood as a woman, I have to give up something so natural and beautiful as love sex.
So I found a religion that embraced women in the priesthood and sexuality. My faith changed dramatically while I was looking for, of course, and I do not think that even if all the idiots Catholic "rules" had changed ever find a home again, but if the rules had not been there in the first place Well, I had not gone looking. So in the end, maybe it was a good thing for me, but I believe that a faithful Catholic can be called to serve and love … and a call from God, any God, is stronger than the laws of men.
I am not Catholic, but I do not think anyone is a believer and wants
to marry another believer should be stopped. Many believers can
serve God with your spouse, much better than we can alone. Working as
equipment is useful for many people working in service to God.
I know there are people who prefer to be single and celibate, and if
is his vocation, which is what we should do. But I do not think a
religion should have someone take a believing spouse, because
are often things that come up that requires either a man
or a woman or both to treat.
May God bless you all.
If you really feel that the church doctrine is based on what God wants, then they should change it. The church should not be bent to conform to social trends or popular opinion, you should stick to what it represents, irrespective of whether people thought it would be better if priests could marry.
"The speech inspired say definitively that time later some outside the faith, paying attention to misleading claims of inspiration and teachings of demons, by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in consciousness as a branding iron, the prohibition of marrying …." (1 Tim. 4:1-3). St. Pauls, ie, not mine.
The Catholic church has deviated from true Christianity in ways too numerous to mention in a response.
I think I am not a Catholic is not really my problem.
but I think its silly to have so many Christian denominations and celibacy.
As you may or may not know, in Judaism we do not do the whole thing celibate clergy. indeed, it would be very strange that a young rabbi from not having a spouse or relative.
SPL Texas: Catholism What is it? Texas is already challenged Sunday frying your brain?
If a Catholic priest should be allowed to marry in the Church!
I'm not Catholic so my opinion is based on what I feel and not by the standards of a Catholic person, but I have always felt that priests, nuns, and nobody should be allowed to marry. There are no scriptures in the Bible that says you should not. We are sexual in nature and there is nothing wrong with the sex they want and need. The only rule of the Bible is what you need to be in a marriage. I think it would be harder for them to concentrate on their work and I also spent much time feeling guilty about her thoughts most of the time. I do not think ever, despite the changes. I think we will see.
if they are prevented from being pedophiles, yes.
the idea of god (in my opinion) is man made … the idea of the priests at all, became man.
the idea that priests be celibate and single, became man.
Hell, the first couple of popes / bishops were married.
From what I gathered, the real reasons for celibacy …. 2 things … devotion to God and the gods … 2ndly their property to remain in the church … for the wife or children can not get it.
the validity of those statements I do not know, but that's what I heard, and makes very good sense to me.
Would it be better to have 100,000 unmarried priests … or 500,000 married priests.
I think the answer is pretty obvious … the church is quite reluctant to change his mind, however, just ask Galileo … how long it took to be "pardoned". (psst, it was more than a couple of years)
Catholics should not be period.
They do not follow Jesus or his words or the Bible - catholism check the evidence that it is a worship experience that keeps us from the worship of Jesus in the section on http://www.spiritpoweredliving.org/
