I do not recognize the Queen in spiritual matters, I recognize the same Christ and the Holy See. Only she is the Queen of England. She is also Queen of Canada so here is my two cents worth.
It does not matter at all for me. The only funny thing about it was that the title, Defender of the Faith was given to Henry VIII the Pope for his brilliant work in his book, defending the seven sacraments and the doctrine that logically tore ideas Martin Luther to pieces.
As we know Henry was denied a divorce for geo political reasons that led to his business elsewhere and became head of the Catholic Church in England. Rome never could figure why not revoke that title in a letter as such.

You are a Catholic and so the Queen is defender of the faith - do not see why it bothers so much. She does not agree with the Church of England is the head of it. Why waste so much on energy with the things that really do not concern you.
