Purgatory was invented to excuse the requirement that the Christian children who died before baptism go to hell. A lot of Christian beliefs are like - "free will", for example, to explain how an omnipotent Creator, the Knower of the timeless universe.isn not responsible for what its inception.

No Catholics, no one can say that the passage in the Bible that says that all Christian beliefs can be found in the Bible? Actually there are several passages that allude to Purgatory, but I really do not care. The only step missing is the assurance that Christ is the Church defines as compulsory education in the earth is also bound in heaven. That covers everything. Catholics do not believe these words of God Himself?

I do not remember the exact passage, but Jesus said that there is a place worse than the sky, but softer than hell where souls are purified.

See 1 Corinthians 3:14-15: "If the job that any man has built on the foundation survives, you will receive a reward. If any of the work is burned, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only through fire. " You see, the Latin word purgatory means a purgation or burning by fire. Paul in these verses refers to a process of purgation that a man is saved despite their works are burned away. This is precisely what the Catholic Church teaches. A person to death that still has personal faults is prevented from entering because the sky is not completely purified. Must go through a period of purgation in order to be clean, for nothing unclean shall enter into heaven (cf. Rev. 21:27).

Purgatory is not mentioned in the Bible at all. When I was in Catholic school I asked a priest about it and said it was probably something that a priest came up with back in the middle ages to answer a question, and was finally adopted as a doctrine of the Catholic Church. There is nothing in the Bible that says purgatory or lacking.

Or the one that has the word "Trinity" in it? Or Santa Claus and the Easter bunny? Or the one that says "the cult of the Virgin Mary." Or the one that says, "treat the pope like Jesus"? Or the one that says "Jesus was just kidding, its nice to be patriotic, if they are killing others in the name of" good'.?……..
