Catholic or Protestant?

either way im 19 and baptized Catholic for the most part, but I think the church is opposed to a more conservative Protestant church. any idea?
What I like about the teachings of the Catholic Church against abortion, homosexuality, communion, the consistency of the dough, the devotion to Mary and other saints
What I do not like priests can not marry, I believe that this is an invitation to scandal of homosexuality, confession (i feel u should confess their sins to God), and finally the lack of emphasis on the Bible itself.

      No

Dear person, I was a seeker of the church for about 2 years before taking a decision on the church and the Catholic faith like much, but finally opted for a Lutheran church as my home church. I suggest not abandon its Catholic roots, but to go and enjoy it while searching for a good general (non-denominational/inter-denominational … the Christian Bible study group if their church does not. My church is that Catholics and many to come. You can also check the guide for other Catholic churches in your area and find one you like best.

  3. John S, BaC says:

If you look at an Anglican Church, or Episcopal, or Lutheran, or even as far as a Methodist church, will find similar services and some doctrinal teachings that are familiar. Anglican Catholic will be, like, Methodist will be reduced.
Now if you want to see a very conservative church that has nothing to do the Catholic Church, a Presbyterian church address, or a Reformed Baptist, or even a Southern Baptist. Another new church thats come in recent years is Calvary Chapel. Its very good and safe doctrinally.

  4. Gossip Girl™ says:

I think that is even better in the Catholic religion.
I am Catholic and I disagree with his teachings against homosexuality and religion (although I am learning to deal with it - I felt clean and pure and the priest is not going to remember that after all the confessions ago).
However, the priests are married to God. Therefore, to marry another woman would be cheating, would it not be?
And I think the emphasis is definitely on the Bible. You should try some different churches. I love the Mass in my parish, but others simply am not a fan.
      =)
Edit: I agree with Bipolar Birdy. Just pray and he will carry on his way, provided you take.

and I would note his aversion to celibacy, does not lead a person to homosexuality, which so easily could have slept with women. There is much emphasis on the Bible, do you attend mass? When I was a Catholic school we had to read the Bible every day. Protestantism branched off from Catholicism, and removed part of the Bible, so if you are concerned about the emphasis of the Bible, I think it would be very important to you.

Finding a church is not about finding what you "like" or "dislike." This is the truth.
I grew up in a Protestant home. I converted to Catholicism when he was 23 because it investigated and found to be the Church founded by Christ.
Please do not be a "cafeteria" Christian. Go to the truth is that, like it or not.

Honestly I think that religions are nonsense.
I'm not saying that you're religion is ew gross
      I am a Catholic myself
but today I am on other religions and for the years to fight about things that are so similar that makes me want to rethink things.
I still believe in God, but I do not worship, or any person or thing for that matter
I think that whenever you know you, what is good what is bad that you're okay.

  8. lady says:

Try to study with Jehovah's Witnesses and really find the truth.
Indeed, nowhere in the Bible is not to say that a religious leader can not marry. Confession can be done to God himself, but if you did something serious and can not stop doing so you may want talk with a person on it to get help The Bible does not say that a mediator is needed to confess, but he says pray in Jesus is much name. There you enjoy finding out that sound like a reasonable person. When Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on the door next time please just listen and to ask some questions. There is never an obligation, but it certainly is some truth in the Bible that opens our eyes to religion in general. Take care.

  9. tebone03 says:

The priests are following in the footsteps of Jesus and Paul, who were celibate. Celibacy does not cause to become a homosexual or a pedophile
We do this to confess your sins to God through the priest. It is God who forgives us, and not the priest.
Jesus entrusted his Church with the power to forgive sins through this wonderful sacrament. The priest is acting in persona Christi (in the person of Christ) in the confessional, but it is our Lord who forgives our sins. The priest grants absolution (sets us free from our sins), using the power Jesus entrusted to his Church. It is through Christ, however, that our sins are forgiven.

look around, many forms of Protestant .. Anglican perhaps, which more or less derived from the RC form, Henry VIII did not like the Pope has power over him so as to annex to the church and formed his own ..
… just a thought here (I am a Lutheran Protestant) .. Why such devotion to Mary and the saints? Would not it be better to devote much thought to the Holy Trinity? Is not that what God requires in the Ten Commandments? and why the RC church sees fit to change the Ten Commandments? which reduced the # 2, Number Two, the second law of God to Moses on two occasions, "You shall have no idols (saints?) which divides the 10 days .. How about Saturday .. the 7th day is to be holy, so why worship what we consider the first day of the week? see the link, and no doubt their faith with a new church ..

    Revelation 18:4

Mystery Babylon is the Roman Catholic Church. After the fall of the Roman Empire, Christianity was used by power hungry individuals who wanted to gain control of the world. Pagan Rome has always been and will continue until Jesus Christ returns at Armageddon.

  12. John F says:

Yes, I feel the same way about the confession as well. How can a man who has sinned in his life clean another sinner? It simply makes no sense.
I met some friends and they were really incredible and all of God. I will go with your answers to this: None. Do not follow that religion tells you, follow God.

    Or try Espicapalian Lutheran
service very similar, but different stand on the issues submitted
      or
just live with the church's decision on the priests to marry (I think you should be able too), and read the Bible on their own, or join study groups - such as the church is not prohibited from reading the Bible more

I am personally a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that might fit what you want. You can find more information about our religion http://www.lds.org. Or you can try to attend several churches and when you see what you think of them. You may feel more natural. Just make sure that the search for a religion that feels right, not one that feels easy. Good luck!

  28. nmyankee says:

I was your age when I felt something missing in my life. I was raised in the R.C. went to a church and convent primary school so I felt I "should be" a Catholic. I married a Catholic who did not attend the church - I went over in the morning, but never felt quite "there" in a relationship with God. After a divorce (5 years), and re-marry a Christian, six years later, I started going to a Bible study and in less than a year, I knew there was something different and someone in my life. After being baptized, I started five years a comparative study of religion with which special emphasis is placed on the RC church.
The churches I've belonged to (in 4 countries) are part of the Protestant congregation - the Baptist, non denominational, Evangelicals, not Episcopal, Presbyterian and Lutheran churches in the first two have a belief system and tradition of close church CR and the Lutheran churches I've gone with friends, I think people are saved by baptism.
Things that he likes the R.C. Church:
      1. His position on abortion and homosexuality.
This is a belief shared by most Protestant churches, except, obviously, the Episcopal Church has many, many. non-Christian beliefs.
      2. Communion.
It is not a shared belief that the RC cree in the church
transubstantiation. When Jesus said, "This is my body", as he held the bread (and the same wine as his blood) - not literally mean that it has become the bread, while his body remained for bread to those who saw it. What he meant was: When you take communion, the bread and wine are a symbol / reminder to my flesh and blood sacrificed for you.
      3. The consistency of the dough? I do not understand what you mean by this?
      4. Devotion to Mary and other saints.
This is a "more". The Bible clearly says that there is only one way to God and Jesus is the road. John 17 contains
Jesus' prayers to God the Father, but none of the Old Testament saints like Abraham (for example) that is mentioned in the New Testament for his great faith.
Paul's letters are addressed to the saints in the various churches that are obviously addressed to all Christian believers. Praying to a dead person is ridiculous - every person killed in the same place that I hope that while waiting for the rapture of the church.
Prayers to Mary was not a part of CR 600 AD to the church, and not until 1923 did Pope Pius XI Pope Benedict XV's sanction pronouncement that Mary suffered with Christ and with Him who redeemed the human race. Has been called the Mother of God (how can this be, when God has no creator?).
The most important thing to carefully consider is: How could Jesus have been fully God and fully human (see our fragility), if their homeland was born without sin? This does not make sense and destroys the purpose of Christ's coming. He had to be like a man among men to suffer for us - He did not come here as a real being - Scripture says that aside its Royalty in obedience to the Father's will to be a living sacrifice for us. This is the main area in which the RC church is doing Satan's work for him by encouraging their followers to be idolatrous. In Mary's song (Luke 1:46-48) refers to "their savior."
Priests were permitted to marry until 900AD when on the basis of a letter sent to Rome by a Spanish Cardinal, the church realized that they could obtain land and money if the priests were to remain single - the priests have no children legally inherit their estates.
      —————–
I was a Catholic for 37 years and have been a Protestant for 34 and I do not, I repeat, do not give information on the topics of this magnitude and depth that I have not exhaustively researched the Bible is the final authority.
See the first link: Isaiah 53.
Second link - the information Bible study - the first exit which are highlighted in blue.
Choose a church to go to that are listed in the Yellow Pages under non-denominational. May God guide you as you search.
Note: After reading the many comments.
WE, the believers are the "church" - the head of Christ is the cornerstone on which to build. The church is composed of their representatives and workers in the world.
