Catholic / Protestant?
I have been cited as the Church of England.
Now I'm questioning whether Catholicism or the Church of England is the true religion.
Is Henry invented the Church of England, 8 so that he could divorce his wife? If you changed how religion can be true?
I am not trying to start religious wars or fight here, I wonder genuinly.
How to be true to a faith that has been published, no doubt, which means that Catholics are right?
I also went to a school of the Church of England, so I have not heard about the negative aspects of the Church of England and the of the Catholic religion.
Could someone help me?
(I'm going to my local Catholic church on Sunday, but I would understand a little more before I go)

I am a former Protestant, now Catholic, and I think it is on track.
But there is much to learn about the Catholic faith that we can not even begin to scratch the surface here.
I do strongly suggest that in some studies: There are many people http://www.Catholic.com Protestant really big and I will not bash, but that they are correct, how can a faith that change to suit the needs of a political leader and be true faith?
Good luck and God bless your search!
it is truly the king and his fixation on having a child, had much to do with it "he wanted a divorce and the Catholic church does not agree" a lot of history, it is also true about Martin Luther and the Reform !
We Catholics do not worship God or the Holy Mary and prayer that we pray for the intercession we believe in the sacraments and catechesis, there is much here to put my email address if you like, all are welcome in the church to speak with the priest will talk to you about anything you would like to know!
Any questions email me, God bless
Think of it this way, that religion came first? Catholicism. And, yes, Henry VIII created the Church of England so that he could divorce his wife. Divorce was not allowed in the Church, even for royalty.
In general, are almost identical to the mass. The Church of England is much less conservative, however.
It is true about Henry VIII. Not sure which invalidates Protestantism, but that was their main motivation. I had been reading about him with his mistriss and liked the idea that the church answered the king, instead of the Catholic King's way to the church.
Catholics were around first, a Protestant religious reform. What is true? Who is going to say? This is a great debate of the age - which is true religion. You have to figure out for yourself and embrace the truth do you … I do not think we're ALL in the different … Good luck in your search.
Caholic the Church has never changed since the time of Christ. Have been limited to confirming the dogmas of truth that existed until the time they were formed. All other Christian religions have just defected from the Catholic Church. In fact, the unit is one of the four marks of the true faith.
I just wanted to write and say, welcome home. I am a convert myself, and love seeing new people come into the Church.
The only general history is to know about Henry VIII broke with Rome because they did not allow him to divorce his wife and marry another. He then established the Church of England in 1534, declared himself and his head.
By contrast, the Catholic Church has been about 2000 years since Christ founded his.
Go to http://www.catholicscomehome.org/. It is a great site to help those who come to faith for more information on the Church and what it teaches.
I hope this helps. God bless.
it is true about King Henry VIII. The Catholic Church is very beautiful. Words can not describe it. The experience has to speak for the Church. If you have any questions I'm sure the priest will be glad to help.
Do not confuse religion with Christianity.
You will find "errors" in every church, every man.
However, not Jesus Christ. Focusing on Christ, studying his word and get an answer to your search.
I think the last straw was Henry VIII want a divorce from Katharine of Aragon to marry Anne Bowlyn but there is a movement in England to what is known as Anglicanism and outside the Roman Catholic Church in the 14th century. Of course, then we need the support of the monarch to be so.
Henry was a supporter of the Roman faith in his early years and worked vigorously to suppress the reform. In fact, he never became a Protestant, although some say that he did on his deathbed. Real support of the reform was left to his children. He called for the Catholic ceremony and doctrine throughout his life, even after he broke the Anglican Church of Rome, the monasteries closed, and established the English monarch as supreme head of the Church of England.
Thus, it is a good point. Talking to a priest of the religions can help to clarify this for you and allow you to ask questions. Avatar is also a good point and succinctly what is said about rolling in my head. (And I am a Catholic, incidentally.) Good luck!
I was baptized Anglican (COFE) and confirmed Catholic in part for this reason. A very Anglican devoute would say that the Anglican Church which is right and the Catholic Church must make some concessions so that they can return to the same church. A Catholic would say that the COFE was wrong.
Here is my understanding history: Henry VIII feel threatened by the power of the Vatican and the priests who have molested both land and were angry with him continuously for the execution of his wives because she does not bear children. I did not want to kill his current wife, but she will not be charged any children, either, so he wanted a new one. He saw this as away to divorce his wife and consolidate its power.
Many priests were ordained in a ceremony with Anglican and Catholic priests COFE so they still have a close relationship with Catholicism, so it is not surprising that many Anglicans to convert to Catholicism. The two religions in general are very friendly to each other. If you decide to convert, there will be many things to be different, but not as much as any other of a Christian group. God bless you, please post if you have more questions!
Catholics believe the Eucharist is the living, risen Jesus. It's the same Jesus who appeared to the Apostles (when Thomas was not there). In the words of St. John Vianney, "It's really the man!"
Catholics also believe in the veneration of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary is our most powerful intercessor. No wonder his friends and family living to pray for them? How much more powerful, then, is the intercession of the Mother of God himself, the man who loved to perfection during his life on earth, and that He remains obedient in heaven. Mary can pray to God more effectively than you or I ever could.
The Holy Rosary is a very powerful prayer when prayed from the heart, at each Hail Mary is prayed with love and simplicity of children. (Many attest to this - St. John Vianney, St. Padre Pio, Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, etc.)
If a king invites him to dinner with him, this is a great honor. However, if he calls a meeting of all the kingdom, and proclaims your greatness in front of them so that they may praise and honor that it is also an even greater honor. In the same way, Jesus, our King, wishes to honor his mother, with her beloved and revered by all. Jesus was so grateful to the woman who poured an expensive ointment on his head that he proclaimed "Truly I tell you, wherever in the world this gospel is proclaimed, he has done as said so, in memory of her . "(Matthew 26:13) If this is your gratitude for this woman an act of kindness, imagine then, their gratitude for her mother for a lifetime of love (Mary" yes "to God (" Be it done to me according to your word ") despite what it would cost her, her pregnancy at a time when she was not yet married and thus her humiliation before St. Joseph and his acquaintances, her nursing of the Son of God The way we celebrated with love and caressed the Divine Child, the clothes that point for him, which prepares meals for him, all you had to see her innocent Son so brutally tortured and murdered, etc.)
God is infinitely happy. He does not need the praise, so Mary can be our vessel Devotion.

Why not just go ahead and start his own religion. That's what everyone else did anyway. Keep the features you like the most. That is how religion is evolving, through the same mechanism of change and precepts that govern the evolution.
