Another member has already mentioned seeking the meaning of transubstantion won `t bother to repeat it, however like the divinty of Jesus in his humanity is hidden and so beyond our comprehension so is the reality of Christ is really present in the Eucharist under the appearance of bread and wine. When the priest conducts the Mass during the consecration the bread and wine do not change in appearance, and remain as they are to the human eye, but faith tells us that Jesus is really and truly present.

Transubstantiation. Look. Would you prefer that tested the blood? Edit: The fundamentalists are far more literal in the Bible that the Catholics, and "this is my body" and "this is my blood" should be exceptions to the rule, right? Ask yourself why people like Chris eliminate "thumbs down" in double digits in almost all questions.

It is the bread and wine is not of flesh and bone. They talk of the essences of the physical flesh and blood, but again this is an idea that has no real physical basis. It is the only basis for subsequent developments. theology.

The first Catholic Church uses wine. If a use of grape juice is not. Second would be very difficult for us to drink his blood as the blood was tested. Do not you think. In the Bible, Jesus said to eat and drink his Body and Blood. Then several of his followers left him in disgust. If Jesus was speaking metaphorically, do not you think they have said? Lost fans in this statement.

At that time, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ, the Church has always taught. Although still looks like the bread and wine, they have, by divine power, has in fact changed his body and blood. The bread becomes God As part of the process, the ordained priest is actually the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ in a real way. Jesus is present body, blood, soul and divinity in the Eucharistic banquet to participate in the Mass. So, exactly what they are consuming the apostles 2000 years ago is consumed at the Last Supper. Ultimately, this intimate relationship with God - more personal than any other type of relationship may be - is what drew me to the Catholic Church and a deeper relationship with my Savior. Catholics are not correct when they say "just a symbol," because for them it is only a symbol. You see, you have no "priestly orders." They do not have apostolic succession and therefore not valid for the priesthood orders. They can not consecrate a host. They can not call "The Word" with your word, as the Catholic priest can. However, no right or authority whatsoever, to say that the Holy Eucharist, as established by Catholic priests, is only a symbolic gesture.

According to the Aristotelian philosophy, is its essence, its substance, not its molecular structure, that has changed. We used to talk about this in college. In the Aristotelian framework, a table is a table because it has "table-ness." A chair has a "chair-ness." Pea is a pea-ness. " The miracle of the body is that when words are said on the elements, God changes the substance of bread and wine "bread and wine-cia-tion" to the essence of Jesus' body and blood. I know. It is a philosophy screwy. But when you take a philosophy 2000 years ago as absolutely true, it is difficult to leave later in the show that its a conspiracy ideas. Thus, all revealed religions, too. ^ ^ ^ V ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ v ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ v ^ v ^ v ^

The Eucharist (the wafer), which becomes the body of Christ. The blood of Christ is usually wine (or in some cases, the juice). Everything is metaphorical, and very few people believe that during the Mass that "reality" becomes the body and blood of Christ. Other bodies, like the Anglican Church, claims to represent the body and blood of Christ. Not much difference, just a matter of perspective. Everyone believes what they want in that regard.
