  1. Dios es amor says:

No. That does not bother me at all. Confession is good for peace of mind and many other things

  2. Faithful says:

Hebrews 4:16 (King James Version) "Let us therefore with confidence to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
If this is just the throne of grace?
1 Peter 2:9 (King James version)
"But you are chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should Shew forth the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light"
if you are already a priest, why go to a priest for confession?
1 John 2:1,2 "My children, these things I write unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
2y is the propitiation for our sins: and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world "

  3. Pastor Art says:

Why not read the Bible for yourself and discover what God has to say.

  4. debo h says:

Who can forgive sins for real?
"9 What is easier to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven," or say,' Arise, take your bed and walk '? 10 But that ye may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins "- he said to the paralytic, 11 I say, get up, take your bed and go home." (Mark 2)
If any priest can do what Jesus the High Priest, I can confess my sins to one.

  5. **JesusF says:

i second that motion Pastor Art. but it seems that u are interpreting things the wrong way. Examples:
Matthew 28:20, who wrote that this verse says that Christ gave "this" power … well it is not forgiving to read the verse that says "18Then Jesus came to them and said," All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in [a] the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, until the end of the age. "You see he said to his disciples to do all these things do not give them the power to forgive … JUST THAT JESUS HAS POWER. U and I can forgive our brother when he offends us, but not for their sins. I know that if u confess ur sins to Jesus, then r is still there. He is the ONLY way to the Father. Priests job is only to be our shepherd and guide natural to us.
