Salvation in the Catholic Church is accomplished through a lifetime of faith and good works that exemplify the teachings of Christ. These good works are to participate in the sacraments and other acts of charity and mercy. We do not believe in a single isolated act of conversion to "save" a person does not believe in the attainment of salvation in our mortal life, it is believed that salvation is a long process of life from conception until death. To be honest, I am not sure what we are so often mocked for this. I think a beautiful doctrine that requires more than a superficial Christian who believe that Christ is the savior. Take the Sacrament of Reconciliation, for example. Anyone can confess his sins to his bed and be the best experience. However, to kneel before the Holy Cross and confess their sins to a mortal man and God has a greater degree of dedication and humility. For me, the difference between asking someone to forgive you and apologize in person aggrieved by telephone. One almost asks sincerity, while the other demands for greater accountability. Lastly, guess what, this makes me very unpopular, but the letters suggest that the early Christians who confessed to each other. As a little prayer to Mary, sure, I will admit we pray to Mary. But that's just because the preposition "to" has many meanings. I mean, the Hail Mary is addressed directly to the Mother of God. But if you read the text, we are not praying to Mary with the expectation of meeting our prayer. Do not pray that it gives us a new bike and hope that she has the power to do so. I ask her, asking to pray to God on our behalf. Read the Hail Mary, there is nothing against the Catholic or Protestant theology. Nothing. So why ask for Mary or other saints to pray for us? So I really do not. All Catholics to pray directly to God, some also choose to ask for Mary or other saints to pray for them. Issue before the people that idea, you should consider pre-industrial Western culture. The Catholic Church has been around for 2000 years and only 250 of those years there has been a democracy. Therefore, for 1750 years of Catholic history of European culture has been dominated by the aristocracy and hierarchy. Why not wait to have some influence on our religion? Santos enjoy the splendor of all the powerful, who are not worthy of respect and admiration, and we are so individualistic that we forget the facts blessed with divine grace? Personally, in our self-centered culture, I think nothing could be more important than honoring the dedication of St. Francis of Assisi or St. Jerome or St. Benedict and use their examples to guide us to the mercy of God.

I am so sick of answering this, especially when the issue is so nasty. "Why pray to Mary, explaining" What are you, the police evangelicals? I'm tired of explaining. We have published the responses from around the world. Find and return something useful when you have to ask and share.

<<Catholics.....what is the way to salvation,>> Jesus. <<and ¿por that Catholics pray to Mary and Jesus christ, explain?>> Do Catholics pray to Jesus. You are in the error of assuming that because many Catholics interecessory offer prayer to Mary, who do not pray to Jesus.

There is only half of salvation, and that is through the Precious Blood of Jesus, shed on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Period, end of subject. Anyone who tells you otherwise either do not really know what Catholics believe, or is lying to further their own agenda. And why assume that only Catholics pray to Mary, not Jesus? I ask Mary and the saints for their intercession, but after going directly to Jesus and the Father. Mary and the saints are alive and part of the Communion of Saints (believers in heaven and on earth yet), and can pray for us. As Catholics have repeatedly explained in this forum, asking Mary or a saint to pray for us is no different than asking a friend at church or a family member to intercede for you.

Why did not always seem that Catholics "pray to Mary and not Jesus?" Jesus prayed a lot. We pray to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all the time. We pray to Mary and the saints to pray and ask God for us. This is not an either or situation. God is God and pray with him. Mary and the saints are our brothers and sisters in Christ and we ask them to add their prayers to ours.

Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life. His Mother Mary is in heaven that cares for each of us like his Son. She has appeared in many places to interconnect and teaches us to pray. Anyone who loves the parent loves the Son. Like I can ask anyone to pray for me you can ask Mary and the saints to do so, we are all part of a community on earth and in heaven.

I always wonder why you do not listen when Catholics real explaining to you about the communion of Saints. Always pray to Jesus. Always begin and end our prayers in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The road to salvation was opened to us for once and for all sacrifice of Christ. Through His sacrifice, He redeemed all mankind for all time. His grace has saved us. We as Christians should respond to the grace in our lives trying to live the Beatitudes and the great commandment to love one another. We know that Mary is alive in heaven with the Blessed Trinity. Was chosen for all women of all ages to help in the great economy of salvation. She is blessed among women, and all generations are supposed to recognize it. We also know that Christ performed his first miracle on its application. We call for intercession. We ask the Blessed Mother of God to intercede for us in his Son. Have you ever asked one to pray for you? Pax Christi

Jesus Christ is the center of our worship and the founder of our Church. For us, any other worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit would be a false worship. We look to Mary as a special relationship with His Son Jesus and all the saints in heaven, and seek help as there would with any friend on earth. Think about having a member of his church knows it is near the president and ask him questions to the President of favor.Well that there is much that is our relationship with Christ and Saints. If ever attend a Catholic mass is Christ and God the Holy Spirit and 99.9% of the time unless it is a mass in memory of the day dedicated to the Virgin or the Saints. Salvation is by grace alone a father's gift for us who are true to their word.

Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. He stands at the center of Catholic worship. But Jesus did not need to be in writing anyone ever stop talking to her mother, who remains ... among other things ... his first, best and most consistent disciple.http: / / douglawrence.wordpress.com/2009/0 ...

The road to salvation is through our Lord Jesus Christ, of course. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." Do Catholics pray to Jesus, too often. He is the center of our faith ... Why not pray to Him? And indeed, we do all in our prayers the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That is the sign of the cross. =] When we pray to Mary, we are really asking us to pray, and pray for us. All the saints are alive in Christ, and in the sky. Death does not destroy everything ... We are in communion with the saints, because the Christian community as a whole is still unified, even with death and distance. Nothing can destroy the ties or love, or even death, because Jesus conquered death. What prompted his friends to pray for you? She intervened in the wedding in Cana and still pray for us now. We do not worship Mary, which is against the 10 Commandments. However, your honor: "Honor thy father and thy mother." The Bible says that all generations call her blessed. God bless you + +
