Catholics, with all due respect, I just want to know … What if a Catholic goes to confession, but no repentance?

  1. DougLawr says:

One who is in a state of mortal sin can not receive the Eucharist.
In the sacrament of reconciliation, a firm purpose of amendment, together with the real possibility of repentance is always necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
If after receiving an acquittal, then a failure in that decision, then another new sin has been committed, and continues the process again.
If no one is above any of the intentions, and then the confession is not a "good", not the sins have been forgiven, and in all likelihood, another grave sin is also committed.

  2. Catholic Mythbuster says:

    Of course not!
To go to confession without forgiveness for their sins is a sin in itself.
For this reason, priests are also trained counselors. They are good at reading emotions, and you can tell when a person is truly repentant or not. If it detects that a priest is not a punishment for sin to be confessed, then they will not distribute forgiveness.

<<Catholics, However respect, just want know…what if you go to confession católica, but not repentant?>>
Not only is the sin unrepented (s) not forgive, the existing compounds with new sin, the sin of lying in the Blessed Sacrament.
      <<can he/she continue receiving Communion?>>
      No.

  4. meeomyo says:

I honestly can not not. Confession is to repent of sins that you are sorry for. If you do that you have lied to God and the priest and the church. Holy Communion is for believers and followers of the faith in Christ. Lying to God is not a serious sin.You part of the body of Christ and do it.

  5. Dave says:

No, he commits another sin of lying, and the reception of a sacrament that he was not worthy of receive.Only those with a clean soul can receive the Eucharist. If you're not really sorry for what you know and God knows what. God will not forgive the sins you have confessed that without remorse.

  6. AC/DC says:

Thus, he / she has nothing to do with the confession.
But if he / she will not deceive themselves. not the Lord.
    According to 1Corinthians 11: 29
"For a person who eats and drinks without recognizing the body is eating and drinking his own condemnation.
That's why many of you are weak and sick and died a good citizen "word of God, not mine. Neither the priest.

  7. Padua says:

Forgiveness is the condition of the person who tells the sins that the Holy Spirit calls them in his mind and is truly contrite. If you have knowingly committed a mortal sin and not confessed that he should not go to communion.

  8. LH Catholic By Choice says:

If there is a confession of sins and is not sincere with every intention of doing no better way to repeat their actions, the confession was not accepted by God. Understand the priest does not know whether your being honest or not.

  9. Rev. TomCat says:

I guess it's part of a confession that was confusing for you.
I think the first words that are spoken by the confessor is, forgive me Father I have sinned. What is repentance?

  10. Alfred says:

It should not come completely clean with all their sins and ask forgiveness of truth. You must say you are totally repentant and sorry.
