Christmas?

I've been reading about that word and the holidays (which we know comes from paganism - still do a lot of it), but did you know this?
Mass of Christ - The death of Christ - the word mass also means eating meat sacrificed to their god, which is what Roman Catholics do believe that during the Eucharist (Lord's Supper / Communion)
I also just read that the body can mean "redundancy" - which would mean the dismissal Merry Christmas Christ.
Does anyone else have any knowledge about the origin of this word, or the origin of this event?
I have always celebrated Christmas, but you can begin to do differently after this knowledge. :) Thanks for any information.

    Christmas
      ORIGIN OF THE WORD
The word for Christmas in late Old English maesse is Christ, the Mass of Christ, first found in 1038.
For more information on the Christmas / Catholics, go to the link below. Is long, but can give you an idea. And please, if Christmas is a day that normally held by spending time with his family, please continue to do so. This is how the sages celebrated the birth of Jesus, (by giving him gifts).

    Hello ….
      Please go to:

A very interesting film, which depicts Jesus in the whole scenario, which clearly demonstrates that "everyone" is in line with previous astrological myths!
      Yo no Christmas!
      NOTE:
      A: No. Seth …
Just because the film goes to other things that may or may not be true, it means "no" means that the religion is' no 'correct!
You can not dismiss "all" claims, by other things, stated later in the movie!

You have a little twisted around.
The word Mass comes from the Latin word "Missa", which means sending out or fired.
But the word "Mass" is used because of the "mission" or "transmission" of the congregation with which he concludes the liturgical celebration, remembering the mission of Jesus (or postage) to: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. "(Matthew 28:19)
      With love in Christ.

Most of the trips that Americans celebrate all happen as a result of doing something different from that of the pagans. Therefore, when we will celebrate not hold any more than other days, however we take a light and rememberence in these days of vacation to make something good out of something satanic.

  5. nacsez says:

Christmas does not take the place of the Saturnalia, the Roman festival to celebrate the harvest and the end of the lower levels of sunlight. The winter solstice is on 21 or 22, and even in ancient Egyptian times, it was said that the Sun (RA) remained for 3 days and was "reborn" in the 25th or 26th, depending on the year. The festival has deep roots in the ancient religions. Krishna was supposedly born in 25, as Mithra.
historical aside, Christmas is what they do. If you celebrate it as a reverence for Jesus Christ, or the rebirth of the sun and the beginning of the new year, its up to you. The day is important from many points of the foot, you choose to recognize and honor their choice.

  6. Catholic Crusader says:

Wow. How can a Christian be found through your teeth like you?

  7. beauty4a says:

You are correct. Christmas is an abbreviation for the words of Christ is the mass pagan in its origins, like Lent, and many other aspects of Catholicism, which combined Christianity and Babylonian paganism. It is believed by many that Jesus was born around the fall festival (August-October) and not on December 25. The only 'holiday' that God commands mentioned in the 2nd through the 5th book of the Bible.
All that being said, do you celebrate Christmas? It's time for a year that my job allows me to stay home and get paid and I get to see my whole family and exchanging gifts. Does that make me a hypocrite? Well, yes in the eyes of some, but I do not think so. You must treat seriously the counsel of God to determine whether or not to continue the celebration as they are accustomed.

Christmas is a feast for the pagan god Tammuz. he was the pagan sun god and the Catholic Church agrees that the days for the pagans (or more likely their money) in the church

  10. kal2448 says:

When words have different meanings, just because it "can" say something that does not mean "no" means something. Whatever we call it, Christmas is a time to honor the will of Christ came to earth in human form and live as part of eligibility to stay in and take the punishment for our sins.
I was told when I was young - maybe wrongly - that "more" was of the Catholic service (mass).

  11. Chris says:

It was originally "Saturnalia, a pagan festival. You may want to see that.
Catholic paganism incorporated, as have countless things, making a false religion called Catholicism can not save anyone.

  12. Doctor Zoom Zoom II The Sequel says:

Christmas is Pagan. I think you are getting your misinformation and outdated books such as Two Babylons and Babylon Mystery Religion. The author of Babylon Mystery Religion, Ralph Woodrow, later retracted his work and wrote The connection Babylon. Unfortunately, he lost the rights to the first book and is still in print.
This is what Woodrow says now:
"No Christian who puts a bumper sticker with a fish symbol on the back of his car was done to honor the fish-god Dagon. Congregation did not put a cross in a church building with the intent to honor Tammuz. Christian has never been to an Easter sunrise worship Baal. Christian has a Christmas tree is venerated as an idol. Claims involving "all this started in Babylon,"
are not only unnecessary and divisive, which are false. "
"Mass" in liturgical context can mean different things, such as "assembly" or "communion service." It can mean the dismissal of the congregation (as in the service later), but mass does not mean the death or dismissal of Christ. " In the case of Christmas, which means the celebration of the communion service of Christ. This is what Webster's Dictionary sayshttp: / / http://www.mw.com / dictionary / Mass
      Main Entry: Pronunciation: more features:
noun Etymology: Middle English, from Old English maesse, modification of messages * vulgar Latin, literally, dismissal at the end of a religious service, from late Latin Missa, from Latin, feminine lady, past participle of send mittere Date: before 12th century

2often capitalized: a celebration of the Eucharist held in three <Sunday masses hours>
3: a musical for the Common of the Mass
Saturnalia took place on December 27. Leon during times when Christians were persecuted, some Christians began to celebrate the birth of Christ in 25th place in December in protest. Ch'annukka The first was held on 25th December by the Western calendar, which is another reason the early Christians to celebrate it.

  13. EZQ1 says:

CJ is correct. And yes, Merry Christmas to result in: Happy Death Christ.I not celebrate mass it.And word was chosen by the RC "church" because of the doctrine of Transubstantiation.Incidentally.the Hocus Pocus phrase used to describe this practice as a pun on the Latin phrase pronounced by breaking the host and drink reading of the Gospels wine.Anyone can see the intention of the symbolic bread and papal authority wine. But when it is most appreciated that the Word of God, then anything goes.

  14. eiere says:

Holidays are what you do. Honor what you choose to honor that day, not in honor of someone else on that day, or whatever other group honors millennia.
Many people celebrate Christmas in a purely cultural sense, others in a purely religious sense.
If you want to honor the birth of Christ, do not worry about what other Christians are doing, the Romans what they are doing or are pagan in or around that day.
The fact that different faiths celebrate a holiday or about the same time does not make the same journey, even when the culture can be used to share the same name or some symbols.
Make your holiday in a manner that is consistent and appropriate to their faith.

  15. Adam G says:

Just do a basic Google search on "the origins of Christmas" .. it is a great place to start ….

  16. Sad says:

Some of the responses that have been published have made me very sad. People are more interested in the belief that suggests that is not theirs are "evil."
Different people have different views. Since none of us were around for thousands of years none of us can really know what happened, what he said or what is or is not derived from other beliefs, we just have opinions and beliefs. On the basis of what other peoples research and knowledge.
What is in fact, I think you're looking for is to believe in a higher power. Christmas, no matter what it meant in the past or where it comes from now to remember that a higher power and love and Celebation delivery. A day to put aside differences and embrace your neighbor. To honor an icon of non-descrimination. If you believe in God and in Jesus and want to celebrate the love that foster / d then do it.
Frankly most holidays we celebrate today is not on the things that happened long ago, the schedules are changed and people do not live Monday-Sunday one can write in a diary world. The love and enjoy.
Those who are adopting Christianity in turn, and only someone who say, never met and I doubt even investigated and it makes me sad to go against what I believe the most basic principle of Jesus to love everyone and treat equally.Very all sad
