Culto do Catholics pray to Mary and the Saints?
We actually do "worship of Mary" - but not with the kind of worship that is due to God (Latvia), which has become the modern Protestant sense (which is why many Catholics, from this modern definition, insisting that no "t" the cult of Mary ", which definitely do not believe that is God, do not" worship Mary "in the sense that Protestants accuse us of not" worship Mary " in the modern sense of the word Protestant). "To worship" does not necessarily mean that the treatment of someone or something as God. The British call their judges and mayors "Your Worship", and I do not think any of them by mistake mayor guy being the Father Almighty. The starting point for the Protestant reading of this is: if you come across a traditional Catholic text referring to "the cult of Mary" in a good light, not a monster.
Yes, really pray to the saints. Some conservative Catholics are afraid to say this, mistakenly thinking that "pray" means "the worship of God or a god" (or are afraid that they think the Protestants). All you need is a dictionary to find that "pray" means "ask."
Now, pray tell, that was so hard to understand?
- Catholics: Why is Mary and the saints As intercessors pray to God?
- Why Catholics pray the rosary, confess their sins to priests and pray to saints?
- Why do Catholics pray to the Virgin Mary and other saints When God is the only one who can help U?
- Protestants who think Catholics are "evil" to pray to the saints is also "bad" to pray for others? ?
- Why Catholics pray for the help of the Virgin Mary?

Here is my understanding of prayer to Mary and Saints
(Note: this is my view of them and how to pray with them)
The best way I can explain my point of view of the prayer to Mary or the saints is the world "talk." Mary and I talk about my mother, but as a woman. She is the mother of Jesus, so that it is special and pure, but not worthy of adoration. Do not worship Mary in any manner or form. I do not think she can forgive me my sins and save my soul. God is the only one who can do it. I ask you to pray for me as well as I'd like to ask a family member to pray for me. (This does not mean that I should not ask God for my car) to speak to the Saints as I would like my close friends.
"The people are saints and angels in heaven" I ask you to pray for me, like how I wonder how one of my friends to pray for me.
I hope this helps answer your question, and questions of others.
Lord, this is a large amount of reference theological babble! between that and the pedophile priest scandal is no wonder that many churches have closed their doors?
Friend, Christ spoke clearly, clearly … His teachings do not really require teams armchair philosophers and theologians to blather about … He had two commandments to follow, and he said very clear and simple and we … We do not need the intercession between us and Christ, and He teaches them to pray — began with "Our Father" … as a Catholic, I know you're familiar with that … He did not say to pray to Mary, holy or whatever, or even through them … He prayed to God … how difficult it is to find out?
one of the greatest aspects of being a Christian is the freedom of knowing no one on earth who has spiritual authority over me-on that can tell me what I believe, how I worship … Christ is the authority for a Christian! any other person intends to exercise the authority is just flapping their gums and spinning its wheels in a vain attempt to power, control, and a hand on my wallet
I think we are that no one understands. Jews and Christians should not "ask" anything from anyone, not on earth, except God. The only difference is that Christians believe Jesus is God. Can you honestly believe that Peter or Paul will attempt to contact Stephen, after his death, asking him for favors? This is the Roman way, where any person can be declared a god after his death. You are making a direct appeal to Almighty God, our Lord Jesus Christ, not human beings living or dead. The minute "Santa Ana" to the left of the planet, she was out of management.
Protestants do not understand why Catholics can not figure that one. It seems so simple for us.
Hstvx, citing the Catholic prayers are not biblical truth.
Many Protestants are not reading this almost open, even remotely enough to see this.
Yes, Catholics do pray to the saints. Ask the saints to pray for them. In other words, intercession. One can call to request a prayer of a saint.
Catholics venerate and honor Mary and ask for your prayers for them, but not as a cult of their god, she is not. Only God is God. Therefore, asking her intercession. Again, this is a prayer request.
While I can appreciate this, the <know> Fundi are unable to read this appear without his eyes, trembling with fury, how hard and saying, "I <KNEW> IT! THE ROMANS ARE Goin 'straight to hell in a handbasket! ! "
As for the "Saved" —- "saved" = dead and with God. People of many religions can attain salvation. Watch the first answer, that's what I say about the narrow-minded Protestants.
Very well stated.
A comment on the response from CJ: If the Church that Jesus founded in the apostles is a pagan religion of Babylon, does not mean that Jesus was a Babylonian pagan?
Say to people is a hot stove burner in just a few to stop touching to see. Some people are like cable. I think all of it, but I know that some will fight you. We all know that people fight over whether water is wet, the desert or hot.
Especially in this site, please do not be discouraged that there are so many pick up in their faith.
Peace.
As lapsarian Catholic, I must say that doing a terrible job of presenting Catholic doctrine. All the "saints" are considered by the Church continued to be members of the Church and thus able to pray on behalf of others as living members of the Church. That is what "the communion of saints" means, Christians living and dead. Honor the Catholic saints (Dulia), a practical result of the veneration of martyrs departed in the early church. Mary worship is extra (hyperdulia) because of its intimate connection with Christ. None of them are "beloved" (Latvia), under any definition. People who think they are "worship" Mary are not following the teachings of the Church. Nobody but God has the supernatural power. Santos can only pray with the Church of God. In any case, it has created more confusion.
The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the time
our death. Amen.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done to me according to your word.
Ave Maria. . .
And the Word became flesh: and dwelt among us.
Ave Maria. . .
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, which may be worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Forward to beseech Thee, O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, your Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee" (Luke 1:28)
"Blessed are you among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb "
(Lk 1:42).
Somebody explain to this poor protestent how the statements chashelmara and skepsis are different?
Yes, I know it is a question rather than an answer, but she began.
"Pray" as a verb, has two very different meanings:
1: to make a request in a humble way
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, gratitude or
It is only in this first sense that Catholics "pray to the saints. "Pray" is simply to ask.
You are right, every religion in Latvia is the sense of God alone. All grace comes from God alone. Only Christ can save us.
We ask the saints to ask them to pray for us, so that you can pray for me if I wanted to ask and pray for you if you ask. Christians are called to pray for one another: James 5:16 "Pray for other … The effective fervent prayer of the righteous availeth a lot. "
The secular world rightly honors its heroes - the brave soldiers, brilliant scientists, artists, etc — and it even makes the fake heroes Supermans and Batmans found in comic books. For Catholics, the hero is a man of virtue, and the heroine is the woman whose devotion to Christ does truly worthy of respect.
.
The fundamental problem here is the evolution of language. Neither Catholics pray to saints, nor the worship of Mary, using these terms in its modern sense.
However, the Catholic saints to ask for your help. Contrary to Protestant faith, Catholics take Jesus at his word:
Luke 20:37: "But in view of the jungle, Moses revealed that even the dead rise, for he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. "He is not God of the dead, but life for him all are alive."
All Protestants in Y! A life asks for help. Catholic saints are in heaven living in their community for help.
Catholics honor Mary, above all the saints, like the biblical witness to tell his story in the Gospels:
Luke 1:26: In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city of Galilee, to a virgin pledged to marry a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.
Because Jesus is God (as even Protestants admit), Mary is literally the Mother of God. Now that sounds like an achievement worthy of the Queen of Heaven.
Cheers,
Bruce
You may find it interesting that 6 Arkansas nuns from (where I live) were excommunicated by the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock today, especially for practicing and promoting the worship of Mary. Were in fact trying to create a "Holy Tetranity" (my term not theirs) to elevate Mary to a status equal to that of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I hear that some Muslims, shaking their heads in dismay. We Christians must seem to them polytheistic.
Well, at least admit that. The majority of Catholics say they do not.

Being taken by the ex-communication of these nuns content. Here is the whole story: http://www.religioustolerance.org/army_m …
Six sisters of the Monastery of Our Lady of Charity and Refuge in Hot Springs were excommunicated by the Catholic Church for his involvement in a schismatic association based in Quebec, Canada.
Women have long been members of the Community of the Lady of All Nations, also known as the Army of Mary. On their own, six sisters decided to join the partnership between 20 and 30 years and take the teachings of its founder, Paul-Marie Giguère, who believes it is the reincarnation of the Virgin Mary.
The Army of Mary is a special interest group, considered by his followers to be part of the Roman Catholic faith. It was founded in Quebec, Canada, in 1971-AUG-28. As its name indicates, the purpose of the group is to bring "together the souls of good will decided to live with Mary, the Christian life to perfection in all the requirements of the duties of his state. Suggest that "The Army of Mary is the Catholic faith lived intensely. "1 According to the website of the Army," the objective of the Army of Mary is the sanctification of souls through devotion to the Triple White - the Eucharist, Mary and the Pope … "By emphasizing the Christian message of peace and love, who believe that Jesus was rushed for the second time.
The army called the Knights of Mary is expected to:
Develop a spirit of prayer.
Helping to Mass and receive communion every day, if possible.
Practice the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity.
Observe the Ten Commandments.
Recite the rosary every day for fifteen years if possible.
At least fifteen minutes of spiritual reading daily.
Perform the functions of their state.
Watch your internal reform.
In 1987, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith expressed concern that two books had been distributed by the Army of Mary.
Cardinal Ratzinger said that included "gravely erroneous doctrines," and authorized Cardinal Vachon, archbishop of Quebec, to take any action necessary up to and including the suppression of the Army. A commission of inquiry stated that the Army of Mary "did not pray the same words as everybody else."
Beginning in 1978, was presented Guigère mystique as the embodiment of Mary. 6 In his press conference on May 7, 1987, denied that Ms. Giguère introduced herself as the Virgin Mary.
Catholicism is a pagan Babylonian worship. They are not saved Christians. What is called "Mary" is the "queen of heaven" of idol worshipers.
What is difficult to understand is the issue that we will respond ..
I guess the answer is yes do Catholics worship Mary and have conversations with dead Christians.
We do not need Mary to mediate for us:
1 Tim 2:5: For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
As you can see, Scripture is clear on the role of Christ is taken as a mediator. We are not going to others to be our mediator, (although you can ask a person to go to mediation with us in prayer) is neither the priest blessed the mother of Jesus, Mary or any saint in heaven . Doing so will take away from Christ. It would be a lack of faith in him. Do you think anyone can do a better job mediation of Christ? And how a person in heaven hear our prayers with God? How can a person in heaven hear thousands of voices at once without being God? If possible, it would be blasphemous to the power of God and His Holy jealousy.
Deuteronomy 4:24: For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
2 Cor 11:2: For I am jealous over with jealousy of God: for I have espoused a husband, which may present as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Deuteronomy 32:21: We have moved to jealousy with what is not God that I have caused anger with their vanities …
Let us be pure and give to God our prayers and worship.
We must understand, Mary is blessed above all women, but she is not God. If we pray to, God is jealous.
It also states that Mary was sinless, but the Bible says otherwise:
Rom 3:23: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;
Mary said she needed a savior:
Luke 1:
46: And Mary said: My soul is magnify the Lord,
47: And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
Mary is not perfect, nor was she without sin, but she was blessed. She deserves the honor, but not prayer. The prayer is for God.
"You will not be other gods before me "….." There must be an idol …"
I do not understand .. from one religion to claim to the word of God, how to jump the parties (in the OT and NT), and how do they justify?
Questions and Answers or Ask and say!
The last time I checked, the bible says that is not supposed to worship the images carved or severe idols.
