You accuse a person when things are going public - there are many who have not yet brought to public attention. What about those who have been doing this for the past 200 years?
If 1 person, doing wrong is wrong - can make a bowl of soup, but 1 piece of land in the same, you have to throw them away - it becomes useless.
So every family has a black sheep - you can not say that Catholics or priests are evil just because 300 people are doing wrong - but that does not mean that it is an act of forgetting. 1% does not do it right - which I?

You got your facts totally wrong! A 2004 study conducted by the Vatican indicated that more than 4,000 Catholic priests had faced such charges in the last 50 years. Now, I'm not an expert, but I think nobody knows anything about crime statistics, particularly statistics on sex crimes, it is recognized that even the 4000 is probably too low, because sex crimes are reported.

Very interesting tactic. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. I hate to deviate from the statistics here. It is a departure from reality and dehumanizes the problem. But is your question, and therefore the use of statistics to try to minimize the problem that is under discussion. I do not judge, I would argue for trying to make a better world. What is better than denial, by belittling the problems and allow to continue, admit it and move forward with the solution.
Therefore, as it is in fact statistical debate, I read your article. Nowhere it says nothing about 300 priests. Find attached a report with:

You are off by a factor of 10. Needless to say this is more than 10,000 children.
My immediate adjustment would be to look at the number. Priests who have faced accusations of sexual abuse. I know that if you see one cockroach, cockroaches do not see that there are 40. The way the Catholic community remains silent these things, and culture to be ashamed of the victim (even to acknowledge your questions, try and put the victim at trial.) Attached is a link that statistically estimated that less than 10 percent of cases are reported. So I went by another factor of 10 to 12, and are up to 40,000 to 45,000 children.
Then, 40 percent of victims is likely to sexually offend themselves. The number could hire many, if not themselves, suicide, prostitution, drug abuse and crime. Let us assume that connection is only 2.5 of the victims as the 4,000 to 10,000 example above. Victims twice in a generation. Therefore, it is 80,000 to 90,000 abused children in one generation, in an endless cycle.
Therefore, saying that only 1% abuser problem. I mean a problem with more than 80,000 child victims. And above all, has to do with sexual abuse. We have yet to deal with sexual harassment, physical and mental abuse. We have not dealt with the U.S. but nothing.
I'm not saying that religion should come out of it. I will not be able to convince you to do that. So I think what you really believe in God and believe in the innocence of childhood, which would work in trying to do to you, and most perfect religion, and closer to God. What in God's eyes if the eyes, even for a case of child abuse?
and what about the measure, the Catholic church takes to punish those priests? when at least one family member who is caught prison … not sent to another church … so they can get "charged" again.

In our small town, which happened 60 years ago and nobody said anything. The guy is gone and we are trying to forget. The damage is serious and has affected three generations of people so far.
More recently, the church has been blessing motorcycles with holy water.

Personally, I do not blame people to church by the molestations as much as the church and diverted underground. placement of persons who have been charged with the children, and are not reported to the authorities, causing long-term adverse impacts on these and possibly other children who have not been identified is so repugnant that most people sicking.
Personally, I do not have the church responsible for the actions of a few, but make them responsible for their own actions or inaction. They hid and protected these people from the authorities and should be punished for their crime.
I think most people are upset about that.
What a low rate! Ultimately, all 48,000 of them children charms that make this world a more holy place.
