Probably one of those guys that will never be elected pope. But if somehow they were one day, it is possible that things could change. As far as I know, no Pope has been arrested or killed, or forced to leave the papacy, except in cases where there has been more of a pope or a king or an emperor took captive Pope and the Pope personally appointed to another was generally regarded as an anti-Pope. There was a time in the late 14th century when there was a Pope in Avignon and the Pope in Rome. And there are even three, before the Pope. I really do not see that happening again however. I am sure that many of his conservative Catholics leave the Catholic Church that while it happened. Either that, or just go to the Catholic church, where did things the traditional way. I do not think that priests can marry in the near future. The reason I do not want the priests to marry is so they can focus on God instead of his own family.
