How can I be more comfortable when attending a Roman Catholic mass / service?
I called United Methodist, but recently I've been finding that I have nothing except the boredom of a UMC, and I feel more spiritually moved by a Catholic mass. The thing is, is that one person told me that he could not receive Holy Communion, because I was a Methodist, but another person said he was honored by my baptism which could receive Communiun. Basically, I feel really uncomfortable about all the rules around this joint Eucharist and need someone to explain it in layman's terms before stepping on the toes of someone unknowingly.
- Why do so few people attending Catholic Masses refrain from receiving the Eucharist?
- Does anyone know if the Pro Abortion Politicians gave Communion at Papal Mass in DC?
- When can you get a Eucharist at Mass?
- After taking Communion Missing the week before the Mass?
- Can / should go to a Catholic worship service in addition to the Protestant Mass?

It is true that the Catholic Church recognizes the baptism. It is not true that this entitles you to receive the Eucharist. The best way to talk to a priest about these concerns is to call the rectory (where the priests lived) during the week and make an appointment to meet privately with one of the priests. In this way it will not be rushed and can give their full attention, and he will be happy to answer all your questions.
How do you feel comfortable in a Catholic church?
Well first of all, you are a woman and I am assuming you are not a child. Therefore it must be good!
The Catholic Church has doctrinal problems but at least we know that faith is not, apart from a good heart or nonprofit. They need more monotheistic trinity though.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, body and works at a single person.
I personally believe that nothing impedes the spiritual growth of a person or prevent him from an honest relationship with God is not a religion that is worth your time. The only "rules" to follow the Ten Commandments.
We can discuss the rules with the pastor of the church.
The Eucharist is the sign and means of Christian unity. The Eucharist is the Body of Christ and when we receive it, we become the Body of Christ.
The reason we ask non-Catholics to refrain from receiving the Eucharist is that there are divisions and differences between us and others that are obstacles to unity that the Eucharist is a sign. Catholics should not receive communion at other churches for the same reason.
A Catholic should not receive the Eucharist at Mass, if there is something in your life that is an obstacle so that he or she is in union with others. Typically, this is the presence of unforgiven mortal sin in his life.
BTW, any baprismn is done with water and in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is considered valid in the Catholic Church. One principle that makes Metodista Catholicism was not named to its original state once again that the baptism is valid.
Subjects wooleybooley IM me if you have any other questions.
Share your concerns with the priest. From my experience, are very good people and love to help in any way they can. If you do not understand what I just said, they say, and to reformulate their explanations until you understand.
There are other people in the church who are good at helping people like you who are looking for answers. I strongly recommend Secretaries. If you do not know the answer, you will know who to ask. New member classes are especially for people like you who have bunches of questions about the church. I have also noticed janitors and grounds-keeping are a great source of information - often they are doing what they are doing as an act of love for the church, and we are pleased to inform you about it.
Good luck. This has the potential to be a very good thing.
Probably not be denied, but you have to be "trained" in their ways.
To take Communion everything is going to move the first row.
Just because you feel more spiritually moved by a body that does not mean you have to convert!
Think of all the silly, superstitous dogma will follow. Not to mention that you end up in hell.
The best thing you can do is talk to the parish priest. By strict rules and doctrine of the Catholic church does not recognize a baptism unless it has been done by a Catholic priest. since it is not allowed to receive communion at mass. The pastor or priest to any matter that could better respond to these and any other questions you may have. All the priests I've talked to are happy to help and answer questions, provide guidance, etc.
Catholic clergy are very useful, just pick up the phone.
I can not help much, but I know I have to speak with the priest and tell him if they were baptized as Christians (first, second Methodist) and who must make the confession. In the confession, prompted by the priest to bless you have sinned, and have to say that his first confession and have apologized recently. You tell your sins and give you a standard allocation of saying prayers pennance-call is complete in its own time. A prayer is "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name …" etc I do not know each other.
For me, it would be hard work, but is likely to breeze right through it.
Do not be afraid of the priest, he is there to help, after all is to be a disciple of God, a priest should not be unpleasant. I just hope that they are not in the Diocese of Motherwell as above is not applied, many of these priests are not very nice ….
If I'm not behind the latest news in a Roman Catholic church has to confess before the Holy Communion (one or two days before). This is the best opportunity to ask the priest about your situation (if baptized Methodist, attending services of RC, who want to communicate …) About the time the confession, there must be an ad there, or you can search on the website, if one has the parish.
I'm not Catholic, as you might have guessed, I am orthodox. If you're still "shopping around" for the beautiful liturgy, you should try sometimes an Orthodox …
You are baptized, but are not allowed to take communion until they have become a Catholic. Feel free to talk to the priest about the adults who attend a class. Probably through the supply of winter, as they bring new members during Lent.
Only Catholics may receive Communion in a Catholic church. Unlike some Protestant churches, does not practice open communion. As to his baptism, is likely to be honest if you were to begin the conversion process, but have not yet been confirmed in the Catholic Church to receive the Eucharist.
Do talk to the priest if you have questions. That is what is there for. Or call the church and tell who answers the phone you. Tell them you're Protestant, but would like more information on the Church. Without doubt, find someone who will be happy to help.
You must become a Catholic. To receive Holy Communion, not only have to believe in Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, but you need to be in communion with the priests, bishops and the Pope. If you can not do this then there is no communion. Definitely there is a difference in services because it is really there in person in the Eucharist. Until we can get you going in the procession to communion with his arms crossed in front of her mother and the priest give a blessing instead.
Fun things to do during boring sermons
Pass a note to the organist asked if he / she plays requests.
See if a yawn really is contagious.
Slap your neighbor. See if you turn the other cheek. If not, raise your hand and tell the preacher.
Listen for your preacher to use a word beginning with 'A' and 'B' and so on through the alphabet.
Using church bulletins or visitor cards for raw materials, design, test and modify a collection of paper planes.
Hankie a whip and blowing your nose. Varying the pressure on his nose and a trumpet out of his favorite hymn.
Try to raise an eyebrow.
Twiddle thumbs.
Twiddle your neighbor's thumb.
Move your ears so that people behind you will notice.
or just read
get drunk first
I was going to say getting drunk, but someone beat me to it. if you really think your question and if your son of god, what makes the difference what religion you are? who were baptized as one, but not good enough for the other? all believe in that and wonder why people stray from organized religion. how stupid is this? The Bible says that all men are created equal, but I think that one religion is better than the other. why i do not go to church 101.
I'm not sure about his baptism, but I think you have to make a confession before receiving the Eucharist.
You supposed to be Catholic, but you can pretend.
