I was born a Christian (aka Protista) but would like to know more about Catholicism. Plz Help.
1. Why should Catholics go to confession of sins to be forgiven when they say that it is God who forgives sins?
2. Why do Catholics think Mary was a virgin when Jesus had brothers?
3. How can Mary be without sin when it was just a human being?
4. Finally, what is the reason behind the belief that a Catholic Pope is infallible when it is only a human being?
Thanks for your input in advance.

To answer your questions,
1) understand the Catholic priests that God is the only one who can forgive sin. But the Bible also teaches that we must confess our sins one to another.
2) Mary was a virgin until Jesus was. Besides, some scholars believe the word "brothers" mentioned in the New Testament as a media fellow brothers not relative.
3) Mary remained sinless, because she had to bare the sinless Christ. Since Jesus was without sin could not have been sinful Marys genes.
4) I think the Catholic Church considers the Pope is infallible because it comes from a line of successors can be traced back to the Apostles, who are infallible.
I hope that my answers were good for you. If you have any more please feel free to email me.
ok … Catholocism is difficult, but I will answer your questions …
1. His sin was here on Earth, and you should say sorry to God through their ministers or priests.
2. Was called the Virgin Mary because she gave birth to Jesus through the Immaculate Conception. That is why it was called the Virgin Mary and no matter if there were any other children, because she gave birth to the Son of God as a virgin.
3. When Mary agreed to the request of God to celebrate Jesus in her womb, her original sin was forgiven.
4. The Pope is our leader. Do not worship him, but I continue because I am nothing but a servant of God and I'm not perfect. That is why God chose a good leader of the earth (the Pope) to guide his flock.
My answer can not be correct in the eyes of Christians to narrowly please help me
First, let me explain to you what a Christian is:
Someone who has confessed that it is a sinner and asked Jesus (not man) to forgive their sins. Then they asked him to nail to the cross where He shed His blood for us. Then the Holy Spirit enters your heart and with your life and guides. You do not need a priest / pastor to confess their sins to go directly to Jesus for that. If someone says the Bible says we must confess our sins to one another means we are to own up our mistakes that we made to them.
Protestants, as Protestants became Henry VIII wanted to marry Anne Bolyn (bad spelling) and could not get a divorce through the Catholic Church which created the Protestant church, therefore, reform.
Yes, Mary was a virgin (around 16 years. Antiguos) when she conceived Jesus (God). Yes, she became the mother of Joseph's other children. She is a sinner like all of us, but God used his line from David to enter the world as a human being to die for our sins. Yes, Mary must also confess that a sinner and ask Jesus to forgive your sins. All humans are sinners from their mothers womb as the Bible says, Mary and even the Pope.
The Pope is a sinner like all human beings. He is only a man like any other man and no, he does not come from any disciple or anything, just like voting in any politician. It can lead to the Catholics, but is just a common man. If Catholics want to believe that he is special, shame on them. It was a nobody, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life no one comes to the Father but by him. To know the truth, the truth will set you free, and Jesus is the truth. Amen.
I hope answered your questions and may God show you the correct way of knowing. He is the answer you're looking for really.
Catholisism is just another religion. They may seem to Christians, but do not follow Jesus, but religion and religion is far from God. Go to the Baptist Church to learn the truth about my friend.
Thanks for your question.
Lesson 1: Catholics are Christians. They were long before the Protestant Christians never existed. So when you say you were born "Christian," but want to learn about "Catholicism" you are being redundant. For goodness sake, get your terminology correct.
————————————–…
EDIT: You miss the point. I am pointing out the error in the call Protestants Catholics "Catholics", while calling themselves "Christians" as if Catholics are not Christians.
Moreover, Catholicism came first. The Catholic Church is an official religion as early as the 2nd century. Protestantism was not born until 1517.
Catholicism that is has been changed to create Protestantism, and not vice versa. Protest beliefs are derived from Catholic beliefs. You could argue that Catholicism is not the original form of Christianity, either, but if that is your argument then you have to accept that the religion of the followers of Christ was not Christianity at all, but the Messianic Judaism.
catholisism is best learned when young and are receptive to terrorism, intimidation and mental torture, all in the name of faith huh …..
1. The priests are the representatives of God on earth. A "substitution", if you will.
2. Dogma
3. As a ship of Jesus, it logically would have to be sinless.
4. The Pope is only infallible when speaking ex cathedra, "ie," the Chair of Peter. " Any other time, it is only a spiritual leader.
These are the things learned from catechism (religious school), and the Baltimore Catechism.
One thing there is no shortage of Catholic churches. Want to learn more, go check it out.
I was born and baptized Catholic. I have not attended church in many years regulerly however. I had 3 years of Catholic schoool and years of Catholic education.
Catholics do not have to go to confession. It is a symbolic gesture and something to help a local priest to keep tabs on the Parish. It is merely a dogma in any way religious education.
2. I do not know that Jesus had brothers. When Jesus was born it. That does not change his being a virgin at the birth of Jesus. Although marriage is not quite consumation fish in my mind. However, it is directly from the Bible that this is the case. Is not a Christian but a Catholic thing.
3. I do not know that anyone claims Mary sinless. Do not look a saint without sin. Mary is revered for what she went through childbirth, parenting and seeing her son crucified. She is considered capable of putting in a good word for someone else by superstitious Catholics. She is not loved and I've never heard of it without being called a sin.
4. Most Catholics do not believe that the Pope was infallible. This is the most contraversial thing about Cathlocism and many people do not become Catholics, because of this. I very much agree with several decisions and decrees made by recent popes. It is assumed that the Pope has a pipeline to God. This doctrine was created at the beginning of the autonomy of the Popes and policy is a vestige of the Catholic Church needs to get rid of.
I am an evangelical Christian (not Catholic). However, based on my understanding of Catholicism:
1. Catholics believe in the mediation of grace. When you confess your sins to a priest, the priest is an intermediary between the Catholic laity and God. It is believed that God's grace through the mediation of the secular Catholic priest.
2. Catholics believe Mary was a perpetual virgin, because the Catholic Church teaches that this is the case. Interpreting the NT references to Jesus as brothers and cousins, not brothers or sisters immediately.
3. Mary cree by faith that is without sin (many Catholic). This sinlessness is believed to be necessary to be an intermediary (in a sense between humans and God). Many Catholics believe Mary is a kind of intermediary between God and human beings (which is why many Catholics pray to Mary).
4. The infallibility of the Pope is accepted on the basis of faith (Catholics). The Pope is not considered infallible at all times, is considered infallible but only when we are speaking "ex cathedra" (ie, in his official capacity as Pope).
Sincerely,

1. This is what we do. Im not sure why.
2. Mary was a virgin when conceived Christ. We assume that there were regualr after sex
Wow, great question! I will attempt to answer the best I can.
But let me preface, I am not Catholic. When I was a child, I chose to be a Christian by asking Jesus Christ and Christ who receive payment for my sins (Romans 10:9-10). A person can be born into a Christian (or Catholic or Protestant), the family, but that does not automatically make that person a Christian (or Protestant or Catholic). You have to choose, when you become old enough to understand what you're doing, you choose Christianity. Does that make sense?
Now to your questions:
(A very good website that you can see here is: http://www.carm.org/catholic.htm)
1. Who confess their sins to a priest, and that interpreting the Bible wrong. We are told to confess our sins to one another, as when people are injured each other, acts of injustice must be confessed to those against whom they have been committed. (James 5:16) The confession did not clean their sins in the eyes of God, but help reconcile their relationship with those who may have damage. 1 John 1:7 tells us that the Blood of Christ cleanses us from our sins and we must go to him to be completely forgiven of our sins. See Romans 10:9-11, "9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 Because it is by believing in your heart that you are right with God and is by confessing with your mouth that are saved. 11 The Scriptures say, "He who believes in him will not be disappointed."
2. Protestants also believe that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born. Mary did not have sex when she became pregnant with Jesus. She was engaged to Joseph when Jesus was born, and after she married Joseph, and had other children. Were more like half siglings.
3. Mary was not sinless. The Bible does not say that it is free from sin. In fact, Romans 5:12 tells us that there has been a person who was not born of sin - so that Jesus came so that we could exit the penalty of sin.
4. Catholics believe the Pope is the sole representative before God, to man. He is like a lawyer representing a client before a judge. Is the mouthpiece of God to man. The truth is that nobody is infallible. See answer # 3. He is human, and like you and me can easily fall into a sin. The disciples were not infallible, and never be told. Peter denied Jesus 3 times publicly. Paul even rebuked Peter missionary basically for 2 front, when it comes to Christians, Jews and Gentiles Christians. The only things that the Bible is infallible, and God.
Look back in Romans 5:8-21 "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we are still sinners. 9 And as they have done in the sight of God by the blood of Christ, he certainly save us from the view of God. 10 A, which were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, undoubtedly will be delivered from eternal punishment by his life 11. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God - all with our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us what makes us friends of God. 12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. sin of Adam brought death, so death spread to everyone, for all sin. 13 Yes, people even before the law sin was given. And although there is no law to break, since it had not yet been given, 14 of which died anyway - even though he did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. What a contrast between Adam and Christ, that was to come! 15 What is a difference between our sins and God's generous gift of forgiveness. For this one man, Adam, brought death to many through his sin. But this other man, Jesus Christ, led many to God through the generous gift of forgiveness. 16 And the result of God's grace gift is very different from the result that a man of sin. For the sin of Adam led to his conviction, but we have the free gift of being accepted by God, even though they are guilty of many sins. 17 The sin of this man, Adam, caused death to rule over us, but all who receive God's wonderful gift of grace to live in justice will triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ . 18 Yes, a sin of Adam brought condemnation to all, but Christ's one act of justice that all people right in front of God and gives them life. Due to a 19 person disobeyed God, many people became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be right before God. 20 God's law was given so that everyone can see how they were sinners. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful kindness became more abundant. 21 Therefore, just as sin ruled over all people and leading to death, now God's goodness rather wonderful, that gives us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "
I hope this helps. Email if you have further questions. I would be more than happy to answer.
Here are my best explanation of the questions posed.
** 1. Given the belief of Jesus for us is that when two or more are gathered in His Name, He is there. The priest, by definition, is one that we as a church before God and offer sacrifices (a ritual reserved for the ordained of God). Reconciliation (confession) is half
by which we acknowledge before God (for the priest to have the second meeting in his name) our trespasses (sins) against God and our neighbors to those who love the Lord loves us. The priest has the burden of looking after striking us as human representatives of God himself. They must carry the burden of knowing what to do and maintain that many among them and God. It is a rite of the Church that we meet our Lord at the table of forgiveness and to be ahead of him to build one of us who leave the ashes at his feet.
** 2. It is not just thinking of the Catholic Church that Mary was a virgin. The Bible says that Jesus was born of a Virgin. Mary, Joseph before the reunion, was living a life devoted to God and His Will, as he was a virgin professes devotion. The orders of the day the woman had withdrawn
as did Mary who lived in full service to the Lord. Jesus is our one and only sacrifice the paschal lamb was born and where all the sacrifices of the day was born in the manger. The Spirit of God that falls on the Virgin Mary gave way to the Holy Jesus birth. By Mary not to have known the man, Jesus was God's plan is born free of all corruption is known that in man. Jesus was born of a virgin Mary, which he did within the confines of her marriage to Joseph is not our business to be very frank.
** 3. By the hand of God the Virgin Mary was the one that had the correct line of birth of His plan for our salvation. Mary was human, nothing has the power to do what God wants to bless and cleanse us by any of its effects. It is simply if you can work through us. God is always with us wanting to make their own way and not our own will and human desires. Mary was willing to submit to the will of God to bring the Savior is why she is the Virgin Mother of God, not another would be the Mother of the Lord does not want others to come after Jesus, because He is
our brother, there is no other God send us to turn to his salvation and grace.
** 4. The belief that the Pope is infallible back to the early years of the Church. Although there may be many human ideas of what man must do that the Church-which is, as always, ultimately the direction God wants to lead his Church in. While many supporters within the Catholic Church did not like the changes of Vatican II (a time of major adjustments in the Catholic church and parish responsibilities), the changes that have been formed so that the Church what it is today. The Pope is infallible because it is being guided by the Holy
Spirit for the Church, that Jesus made St. Peter (Simon Peter first Pope also) responsible for set up and start before He was crucified. Pope to accept his position is to accept that what God hands cup to drink it is to humbly accept the fate for the
life of the Church of God through Christ.
** I would also point out a misconception about Catholics about prayer to Mary. Catholic dogma, in line with what Christ taught about worship, a woman does not give us to worship, but a human being to learn from the mother and seek help through. When we look for lessons from the life of Mary, we learn of the pain and anguish, joy and wonder, and the human and spiritual interaction with God. With the acceptance of Mary, honoring their place in God's plan that we accept Jesus as God the Holy
Son accept that Jesus was human, our sacrifice is born of God's will for a Virgin we glorify God by asking Mary to pray with us and for us. Once again, we call it, like any other brother, sister, friend or mother, pray for us so that God may hear the cries of their children. Maria (as a pastor of Reconciliation) hearing our prayers and pray with us (or any saint for that matter) means that two or more are gathered in the name of Christ for the Glory of God. We are simply saying that we seek the support of our family to do the will of God, after all, are not all that God
Children?
