if you come into the Catholic Church at Easter through RCIA … at some point you have to The Rite of Reconciliation with a priest, other wise known as Confession. It is part of the process.

You do not have to confess your sins. Just stop doing things that are morally wrong and learn from their mistakes rather than relying on some mythical creature magically erase everything you have done wrong. If you did nothing wrong, how to learn and grow as a person. Do not worry about talking to some acid trip through the creation of a group of elderly as a means to control the population. Think for yourself.

Veniel (minor) sins are forgiven by God sincerely asking for forgiveness (yes, this is Catholic doctrine). Mortal sins, which lead to death, are to be forgiven by a priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
In Baptism, all your sins will be washed away. If you are in danger of death before the Passover, it can be called earlier than expected.
If this remains a concern, go talk to your priest.

Today, the first sacrament that is able to receive Baptism. You may not receive the other sacraments, until after being baptized.
GOOD NEWS: Because you've never been baptized, any and all sins can bring with you will be taken to receive the Sacrament of Baptism.
You see, there is no need for confession before receiving baptism, because your sins will be washed away in the reception of Baptism.
Therefore, you have nothing to worry about.

The Bible says that Jesus is our Great High Priest. God says to pray in Jesus' name. Just pray to Jesus and ask him to forgive you and He will. He's the one who forgives you.
Edit:
Edith the Bible says if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
