If the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus started then?

What about all the other churches. I know people say that are saved through the Church of Christ, but how is it that if you have not received the sacraments, or at least been to confession.
I know that many people in evangelical churches and apart from a few "crazy" (perhaps more than a few) are all people who love God.
I also believe that the participation of more services, better music, etc, I guess I'm trying to turn religion into a concert.
Also how come they are not Catholics, who follow Christ have so much trust in pastors and denominations who have been around 50 years. I know your Bible, but Catholics on the thing together.
  I'm confused!

  1. Bruce says:

Yes, Jesus began a human organization that appealed to the Church (Matthew 16:18). He appointed a leader (Simon Peter), and the apostles, giving them authority to "bind and loose," so that their decisions are honored in heaven. He also promised divine protection to the gates of hell shall not prevail against his organization.
Any claim of a religious organization to the modern Church can be resolved by historical methods. Both the Catholic and Orthodox churches can point to an unbroken line of apostolic succession that goes back to 30 AD, including humans and leaders of the documentation.
In contrast, the 30,000 other Christian organizations - I can not call them churches - were established in the last 500 years. The impetus for this breach of unity among Christians is the dictum of sola scriptura-Martin Luther, that only writing can tell us about faith and morals, not the Church that wrote and approved the Scriptures.
This means that anyone can make Scripture mean anything you want. Given the many organizations that believe that God wants people to kill their children and practice sodomy, should be very clear this approach is not what God commanded.
Some of the man-made organizations are trying to make Jesus Lord. Some are sincerely trying to live according to his teachings. I respect these organizations as allies in the only church he established.
      Cheers,
      Bruce

In Vatican Council II, the church recognized RC "other" churches as "disaffected brethren." In other words, they are God's people that are out of communion with the RC Church. Christians, but not in a good position within the Catholic religion.
I'm glad you enjoy the ritual of the High Church tradition, and I hope you drew closer to God. Other people, myself, find the High Church style off-putting, nothing wrong with it, just does me closer to God.
We are not saved by any church. Go to church does not make one Christian. Becoming a Christian is described by Paul Apostile as follows:
      Romans 10:8-10
But what say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart," ie, the word of faith which we are preaching, [9] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, [10] with a person's heart cree, which, in justice, and with the mouth confesses, resulting in salvation.
Nothing about taking communion a Christian, prayer, baptism, singing hymns, all these works are outdoor show faith in one person.
      Ephes. 2:8-10
You have been saved by grace through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, [9], not as a result of works, so no one can boast. [10] For his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand so that walking on them.
Doing things religious does not make us Christians, whatever their denomination or church, regardless of age or how the new church. We are in Christ to do their good work, doing their good work does not make us Christians. How many people have gone through confirmation classes at the age of twelve years, took first communion, and never in your life the dark door of the church, any church? They were "Christian" as they were baptized as children, went through Confirmation, First Communion, but never had any fruit of the Spirit?
      Jesus said:
"Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he is the one who loves me and who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and I disclosed to him." John 14:21
      And then in 1 John:
1 John 4:7-12 7 ¶ Beloved, we must love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 By this the love of God manifested in us, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world to live by it. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time, if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
Not that the church, but Jesus!
      Jesus and no …
      Only Jesus.

  3. S K says:

Catholics are closer to the teachings of Jesus than any other church.

  4. Ranto says:

Most Protestants do not know the history of the Bible or their own religion. Do not know they had not before the 4th century Bible when he decided that the Catholic religion is seen as the Holy Word of God and what not. They do not realize that the Catholic Bible has remained unchanged since the Council of Rome in the fourth century. They do not know that the Protestant Bible dropped several books of the Bible. They do not know that there are many translation errors.
They deny that the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus - but it is not - right in the Bible where Jesus made Peter the leader in the terrestrial Earth.
I can not be a Catholic (I'm an agnostic). But I could never be a member of a different Christian sect. They are all created by men and based on heresy.

  5. cristoig says:

Certainly, the churches outside the Catholic Church does not have the fullness of truth about faith and practice. The question could be asked, how much truth should be accepted to be saved? That is a question only God can and must respond in court.
Catholics believe that there will be others besides those who recognize that the Church of Christ is one, true Church will be saved. We do not know who might be, but we do know is that might be saved through His Church, the Catholic Church and his Church is the gateway to salvation through which all must pass.

  6. St. Boniface Fan says:

The Catholic Church teaches that no outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation, but you have to look at what this really means. Paragraph 3 of the Second Vatican Council's Decree on Ecumenism (Unitatis Redintegratio, November 21, 1964) says that our separated brethren "who believe in the faith of Christ and have been properly baptized are put in some, though imperfect, the communion with the Catholic Church. "It also says that" all those who have been justified by faith in baptism are incorporated into Christ, therefore they are entitled to call themselves Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers, the sons of the Catholic Church. " The whole world might be saved through the Catholic Church, either as members of the faithful that the Church, or as members of churches which contain important elements of sanctification and truth found in the Catholic Church, or as people who, for causes beyond their control, not the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will, as we know it through the dictates his conscience. Therefore, a bishop is responsible for each within his diocese, not only the most Catholic.
      Jesus said:
"You are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18, KJV)
"Neither pray I for these, but for them that believe in me through their word, that all may be one, as thou, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you sent me "(John 17:20-23, KJV)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world "(Matthew 28:19-20, KJV).
Jesus established only one church, one founded on Peter the rock. He prayed that all his followers be one, and He promised that He would be with His Church until the end of the world. This was recognized by St. Paul when he wrote:
"Make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you call - one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, that is all and all in all "( Ephesians 4:3-6, NIV).
A faith is a set of beliefs, a set of doctrines, doctrines that never change. There is only one Catholic Church, but there are over 26,000 Protestant denominations today, separated from each other by different doctrines. Each of these designations can be traced to a single person who was not a Saint Peter or the apostles.
Every Christian church has some of the truths revealed by our Lord, but only the Catholic Church can trace its origins all the way back to Jesus through Saint Peter and the rite of ordination, the laying on of hands and transmission of responsibility and episcopal authority. Because only the Catholic Church can be traced all the way back to Jesus, the Catholic Church can only be said to possess all the truth revealed. After all, Jesus founded the Church, promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (which means it would be perpetual and non-teaching error), and promised to be with him until the end of time. Not the end of time, but continuously until the end of time. Whether the Catholic Church has been and is the one true Church, the Bible is wrong, or Jesus lied.

  7. Doktor Solidarity says:

I could not tell who is saved, it is not, but I do know one thing, from the visions of a nun named St. Faustina, First Saint of the 21st century
"I am the mercy and compassion in it …. All things born of debths My most tender mercy. All Souls, in relation to me are my infinite mercy throughout eternity ….. My mercy is so great that nothing, whether man or angel can fanthom throughout eternity. "
      - Divine Mercy

  8. St.Berna says:

Jesus died to give us life boat (Sacramento), in this ocean of life, if people do not want to use the vehicles set up by Jesus, that is your choice. we must pray for the world, and to divine mercy ª Faustina to pray that Jesus has given us.

  9. Trevor S says:

Jesus was not initiated any church in particular. He encouraged his followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19,20). The different names, including the Catholic Church, came much later, but since the word "catholic" means universal, in a sense, Jesus was the founder of a Catholic church in place of the Roman Catholic church.

  10. Meta says:

Jesus did not start any "church", he taught from the heart to offer a compassionate view of how to live in an age like ours, which was split by war, conflict, hypocrisy, greed, etc.

  11. cvo says:

I was born a Catholic, but am now a non-denominational Christian.
Where in the Bible does not say that a Catholic church Jesus began? No. He started a church based on their word.
Catholics have changed the verses, adding that the books are not scripture, as Maccabees. A classic that has changed the verse is Matthew 6:7, where Jesus said he did not pray in vain repetition. They changed it to not talk much, which is changing the words of Jesus and say no to speak much in prayer!. This is against what Jesus said. A rosary is not vain repetitions? Jesus wants to talk to God. He would not say do not talk much. This is so bad and no more, but you need to read the real bible to find out.
Try the King James Bible is the truth!

  12. Vot Anarж says:

His line of reasoning is based on a false premise, the Catholic Church is the church Jesus began. Finito.

  13. phoenix1 says:

Jesus was a Jew always always will be. Christianity came after him. People have their own spin on things. I do not think that one denominator. is better or worse until the departure from the teachings. Catholics were the first time separated from other Christians. Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation …
You are saved by Christ and by accepting it. The Church exists so that you can hear the word. Simply go to church or being baptized is not saved. You must accept Jesus in your heart. It says in the Bible. 14 6 John

  14. KAL says:

People who claim that the Catholic Church is the church of Jesus was, surprise, surprise, Catholics! Jesus never told us to "go to confession:" … told us to confess our sins to God. Jesus never told us to receive the sacraments … told us to remember that when he took the cup and ate the bread … and never told us we had to do it in church or that we needed a priest or other "holy person" to bless the bread and the cup.
I would not put my faith in the pastors or the names … I put my faith in God. I do not accept anything without consulting my pastor said to God about it and I rarely even consider a name just tell me where it is stated in the form of an absolute standard which must continue to be "Christian."

I must be Orthodox in order to be saved …
