Is it true .. A Catholic priest can give himself Etc Confession, therefore, no matter what gets in the sky?

There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus …. 1Timothy2 5.
….. We have a lawyer with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous …. 1John 2:1
That said, I would like someone to show me the Bible exactly where they confess to a priest. I am a student of the Bible, and I think that was pretty good ….. and read the Bible says that Jesus Christ is my advocate with God, my only true mediator to God, and my High Priest. The forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Christ, and when a person asks for forgiveness in prayer to God (1John 1:9 )…. not a priest.
The only way a person is in heaven is by receiving Jesus as your personal savior …. John 10:9, Acts 16:31, 1Timothy1: 15, Hebrews 7:25, Romans 1:16,5:8 and 9, 6:23, 10:9 and 13, Ephesians 2:5 and 8. If a priest does not, then fail.
Search the Bible for their answers, if not then there shouldn't be a part of your relationship with Christ or in the ideas of how we come to heaven.

"As a Catholic priest," I will say that the only way to God the Father in heaven is through His Son Jesus Christ. and this is what we are forgiven of our sins. "No Man" also for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Salvation is the only way to heaven is a gift that can never be perceived.

  4. Rev. Karen Braswell says:

No, the priests go to confession to the other priests.

  5. CALAVA says:

    No.
No priest (including the Pope) can acquit himself.
Therefore, each priest to the Pope to go to another priest for confession.
"The priest is a priest for himself. The acquittal did not give himself. Do not administer the sacraments themselves. He does not exist for itself, there for you "(Cure of Ars: Monnina II 453).
What a comfort to the guilty, when stung with remorse and repentance for his sins, he hears the word of the priest who tells him in the name of God: "I absolve you from your sins!" These words are, it is true, since the lips of those who, in turn, should beg the needs of the acquittal of another priest. This does not degrade the gracious gift, but it does, rather, appeared to be higher, since beyond the weak creature is most clearly the hand of God through whose power is wrought this miracle. 12. I W/LK FVNNY says:

Confession is just a ritual. Unless you really repent of their sins, if you go through a Catholic priest in his own rite or prayer (as Protestants), then God will not forgive you.
In that sense if they are truly sorry for your sins and accept Christ as their savior, then no matter what, you get into heaven;)

  13. Erich Einluger says:

Nope. The "etc" part of me wants to say "yes, in part - because a priest can, in fact," attributed "the Holy Communion.
But as for the other sacraments … including the confession and absolution, Holy Unction, etc. - which is a "minister" (which is a sacramental term) - and that would be "a person other than himself."
No - a priest can not be acquitted.

  14. Father K ™ says:

priests can not give them a confession … have to give another priest … But according to the religious thought … although anyone can do anything … and be forgiven for what it really does not matter whether you're Catholic faith and practice to go .. regardless of the crime
