Is there a passage in the Christian Bible to support the Catholic belief in Purgatory?
I know this is not the religious section and that many of the regulars do not approve of religious issues, but always wondered about "Purgatory" and the belief that it says, but never ask about my father .. … ..

Purgatory comes from Judaism (Jews believe in a place called Gehenna) … is why I usually hear people saying that "Catholicism fulfilled Judaism." To learn more about it and you will find Hell.

Not sure, sorry. I am not Catholic, but I have to start reading the Bible. Purgatory is something most of us think is right there, the sky.
I know this is not the heavy metal section, but had to mention that Metallica has an album called "binge and purge! Ja, ja.
I do not think that would be for them to make that claim. But purgatory sounds much better than hell
