Not sure, sorry. I am not Catholic, but I have to start reading the Bible. Purgatory is something most of us think is right there, the sky.

Purgatory comes from Judaism (Jews believe in a place called Gehenna) ... is why I usually hear people saying that "Catholicism fulfilled Judaism." To learn more about it and you will find Hell.

No. The Catholic Church invented "Purgatory," was a money. The families whose relatives were allegedly killed in Purgatory could buy indulgences from the Church to "liberate" their dead relatives so they can enter heaven. Many think that this is the last straw that saw Martin Luther start their campaign against the Catholic church - "dispute over the power and efficacy of indulgences," known as "Ninety-five theses.

"... can not be a basis other than that there is, Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay or straw, the work of each of them come to light, reveal for the Day. Revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of every job. If the job to someone who is built on the base, that person will receive a salary. But if someone's work is burned up, it will suffer a loss, the person will be saved, but only through fire. " (1 Corinthians 3:11-15) There are others, but which is most common. To learn more, just google there are tons of websites in Purgatory and the Bible.

There is no Bible verse to support that belief .... but a belief that this could make sense ........." God does not condemn a soul in grace, but He can not allow anything spotted in the sky, therefore, if a soul in grace has yet to fulfill certain obligations in justice of the penalty time, he does purgotory in!
