King James was a Protestant. It was against the papacy, because I believe that no one stands between man and Jesus.
BTW .. it does not matter, or even that people care, but King James was a direct descendant of King David of Judea.

  2. Royal Racer Nor-Cal Christian says:

Not sure who you mean the King James.
The one in question must be whether it was a Protestant against the papacy.
You have the answer to your second question, there.

King James was a Protestant. It was against the papacy, and as head of the Church of England was affectively the "Pope" of the Anglican Church. He does not want to give up such power by the admission of the truth.

He was a Protestant. In fact, he created the Church of anglogans. He also made the King James Version of the Bible. I hated everything Catholic. I do not know what a pope.

  6. Skittles says:

I'm not sure if King James was a Protestant or not. It was against the papacy, as it should not follow a man for our salvation except Jesus Christ, who was / is divine in nature. Scripture states, "Cursed be the man who putteth his trust in man" (Jer. chap. 17). Put all your faith in Jesus alone, who is God in the flesh.
As a former Catholic, I know it's dangerous to put your trust in man. If any church or "holy" man could convince us that his salvation was in their hands, you would do anything for him. That is what the Catholic church has done. Through lies, deceit and strong arm, has billions of people in bondage.
people, your salvation comes from the throne of heaven, and not a church or "holy" man. Just put your trust in God through Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

Protestant King James 1 was the largest religious turmoil of his monarchy was bnetween Episcopalian and the Presbyterian Church in Scotalnd. In 1635 a royal decree was issued on the authorization of a new set of office-the Book of Canons, to be published next year. These new rules began to emphasize the real supremacy over the Church of Scotland, and one of the most notable statements of this rule requires the Church to accept a new Service Book and Liturgy blinds to replace the Book of Common Order, in use since the Reformation.
I wanted one for his new church United Kingdom of England and Scotland.

King James was born the son of Mary, Queen of Scots, a Catholic, but was then approved and heir to the English throne by Queen Elizabeth of England, the Great, a Protestant. Isabel was the daughter of Henry VIII, who broke with the papacy and founded the Church of England with the English monarch as the head. James abolished the Vulgate Bible and have re-written the King James Bible so that support the C of E instead of Roman Catholics. Opposing the papacy at that time a political necessity, England, the two rivals fullest potency, Spain and France, were Catholics.

  10. ? says:

King James is no longer alive, but it could have translated the entire Bible for the first time. The former Catholic hierarchy did not want the average person to know the Scriptures so that they could maintain their power over them. Sad huh?

  11. ? says:

    Protestant
Because the papacy didn't want the book published by the man / woman to read.

Protestant. That's why it's against the papacy. After Henry VIII English thrown in the Roman Church from the governance, the monarch on the throne of England became the head of the Church of England. Queen Mary tried to return the English church back under the jurisdiction of Rome, but it did not work. Luther had translated the Bible into German for Lutherans, the English and eventually earned her tongue-the Bible, under the leadership of King James.

He was a Protestant. He was the son of Mary, Queen of Scotland was Catholic. Mary and Elizabeth were cousins. Elizabeth rigged a relationship with an English fop for Mary and she fell. She married the man and his son, who was nabbed and taken to Elizabeth England and raised as a Protestant in the Anglican Church. All that is fed by the propaganda cree Elizabeth, so if I remember correctly, was the daughter of Henry VIII, that the separation of the Catholic Church because he could not marry whom he wanted anytime he wanted to divorce or the beheading of women today.
