The Sacrament of the Eucharist (Holy Communion) "I am the bread of life. His father did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread that comes from heaven, that if any man eat, he can not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread will live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world. " "The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" "Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen, I say: Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. " "For my flesh is meat indeed and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he who eats me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not like your parents did not eat manna and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever. These things said, teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. " (John 6:48-60) JESUS INSTITUTES THE EUCHARIST "And while they were at supper, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke and gave to his disciples and said: Take ye and eat. This is my body. And taking the chalice, gave thanks, and gave them, saying: Drink ye all of this. For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many to the remission of sins. " (Matthew 26:26-28) "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of Christ's blood? And the bread, break, is it not part of the body of the Lord "(1 Corinthians 10:16) "Amen, amen, I say unto you: Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." (John 6:54) "And my tabernacle shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (Ezechiel 37:27)

Es Jesus said: "This is my Body / Blood ... Do this in memory of me. " He said "This represents my body." There is also a biblical passage where Jesus says that whoever eats of the flesh and blood hae eternal life. Search the Catholic Catechsim (the index) for the Eucharist, transubstantiation, "" Jesus, "and the Mass for more information.

Literally. Why so many people have walked away from Jesus that day saying "This is a hard teaching, who can accept this?" In the Gospel of John, Jesus repeats three times that we must eat His Body and drink his blood, and never did he try to explain that he only spoke in metaphors. Yes, there are other places in Scripture where Jesus spoke figuratively (ie, "I am the vine"), but this was not one of them. Why are later strongly condemned Paul to take the Body and Blood of the Lord unworthily? Peace be with you +

The Eucharist is the literal. 6 John Lee! Some of his followers thought it was too hard to think of a lesson in bread and wine truly his body and blood and left. No call back and say, 'Oh! I mean that as a symbol. "

Those who say it is only symbolic are those who abandoned Jesus when He taught. They can not understand without seeing the spiritual.
