The browser or Possesor?
Battle lines between large and small around the world religions is heated because we are seeing more people, more names (30,000 Christian denominations alone), and less space than ever. As more land is small and crowded, religious people will be forced to become asylum seekers and do not possess the truth or we kill ourselves off before they know.
Religion, church or faith is not believing in things as it is about having faith that God is all about making it back into the picture. We were made in his image. We are a blessing and not bound by a few thousand years of age, physical disability called original sin. Environmental, cultural, psychological and sins-yes!
Mock Hindus, Christians not to kill livestock because of their belief in reincarnation, while we can not understand how they (especially if we are Catholics) do not receive our practice of eating the body and drink the blood of Jesus. How silly of them! The East West is a part of the truth.
What we have to do is take a step back, take the mind of Christ, and then re-engage all humanity with love and tolerance. Nobody has the whole truth. Nobody! Both Buddha and Jesus said the truth.
Gandhi put it this way: "It is unwise to be sure of one's own wisdom. It is salutary to remember that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err. " Or Jeremy Young put it, "certainty is the divisor of the elderly, especially when it comes to religious beliefs."
There is a story that I remember (which I agree) that says something like this. God gave one of his angels of truth in the form of a sphere and the angel told him to consider the earth. On the way down, the angel faced (see, not even the angels are perfect) and the area was broken into many pieces. Various people around the world picked up a piece and had proclaimed the truth.
It is true that a piece of truth, both the East and West!
