True Catholic Mary, Mother of Jesus is a mediator between you and God?
Mary is a Catholic, the mother of Jesus is a mediator between you and God?
1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
- Who is the mediator between God and men?
- Catholics - Is it true Mary the Mother of God?
- Roman Catholics, why pray to Mary Only When Christ is our mediator to God?
- My question relates to the belief in God, Jesus and the Popes of the Catholic Church is the true Church
- Why do Catholics pray to Mary and other saints and priests Use As A Go between them and God?

Mary is dead? Saints are dead? these people should worship the god of the dead.
Is it true that when someone asks you to pray for them, you are a mediator between them and God? You say "why ask me, you do not need a broker, you can talk to him directly?
I think not.
Any 1 Timothy 2:15 applies to every situation of intercessory prayer for others, or not. You can not have it both ways - the application to us to ask the saints' intercession, but not you.
The verse that always says it all. Mary did not die for our souls, nor was crucified on a cross for the same Catholicism that began in the first place - the Romans.
Mary is not a / the "co-redeemer in Christ." His sacrifice is sufficient alone for our salvation, and this "doctrine of Mary" and many others like him are unscriptural and out of the pit.
The sacrifice of Christ is only mediator between us and eternal life.
A couple have already said, there is a difference between an intercessor and a mediator. Jesus is our only mediator, we can all be advocates for each other. A mediator is a link from God to man. Every time a Christian prays for another, he or she is an intercessor.
Mary gave birth to Christ. This is also in the Bible. Through the gospels that is mentioned as the mother of Jesus. We know that just gave birth to her human aspect, but because we believe that God creates us all for a purpose, we believe it was created to bear and raise the Christ child. That makes it very special in our eyes. If you read the Gospels, you'll see that she followed him most of his life and that she loved him. Looking at life from a mother's sacrifice of Christ has a very human, personal and poignant message. I never really understood the human side of Christ, until he looked at me from the idea that a child was raised by loving parents.
Mary and the saints can pray for us, just so you can pray for me. Because Mary is in heaven with her son, we believe that is connected to a Jesus that some who live on earth. Also, mothers know their children. It helps us to know Christ and Christ is a part of the Trinity, so in that sense is a mediator between God and man, but in the same sense that when his pastor, and praying for you and you looks devotion 'll know Christ. She is not a direct line with the Father, the way of Christ is, however, this is not implied at all in Catholicism.
I hope this clarifies things.
Let's see if we can keep this simple: It is not God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three divine Persons but one God: The Holy Trinity. Jesus is the Son of God, the Second Person of the Trinity and he is normally known as the Mediator between God and men, can think of Him as the mediator, because he is fully God and fully man, it is a like a "living bridge" between God and man. The Virgin Mary is known as the Mother of God, because she bore and gave birth to Jesus who is God the Son, as is clearly visible in the events of the miracle at the wedding of Cana, it pleased God to give the Intercessor role of the Virgin Mary as a means of sharing in his redemptive work. This role of advocate is a privilege that is available to all who are willing to let God use us as he please, but was, in particular, to the Virgin Mary because of His perfect will cooperate with the grace of God. The co-redemptive dimension of the role of advocate is not out of grace, but it is a part of grace that was set aside for us by God as a gift from the bride who wishes to share its treasures with your closest girlfriend, the Church, a gift must be received with grace, and none is more elegant that the Virgin Mary. So, relax, God has everything under control.
She can intercede on our behalf to God, like any other saint. Seeking their help is not a requirement, and we pray to God directly, there is only one mediator between us and God, and He is Jesus Christ.
God bless.
No. Catholics do not blieve that Mary is a mediator between us and God. Gave the verse that gives the reason why Catholics do not believe it.
Thank you.
It might help if I knew why. . .
Mary is our Mother and Queen of Spain David New
John 19:26 - Jesus Mary, Mother of us all as He dies on the Cross saying, "Behold your mother." Jesus did not say "John, behold your mother" and that Mary gave all us, his beloved disciples. All the words that Jesus spoke on the Cross had a divine purpose. Jesus is not just telling John to care for her mother.
Rev. 12:17 - this verse shows the meaning of John 19:26. The "woman" (Mary) are the children who follow Jesus. She is our Mother and we are their progeny in Jesus Christ. The master plan of God's covenant love for us is the family. But we can not be a complete family with the fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Christ Motherhood of Mary.
John 2:3 - that is a very significant verse from Scripture. As our mother, Mary tells us all to do what Jesus says. In addition, the intercession of Mary at the wedding of Cana triggers the ministry of Jesus and a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic celebration of the Lamb. This celebration unites all believers in a famiy through marriage of divinity and humanity.
John 2:7 - Jesus allows his mother to intercede for the people in his name, and responds to the request of his mother's service order to fill the jars with water.
Psalm 45:9 - the psalmist teaches that the Queen is on the right hand of God. The role of the Queen is important in the kingdom of God. Mary, Queen of Heaven is on the right hand of the Son of God.
1 Kings 2:17, 20 - David in the Old Testament kingdom, the king does not refuse to his mother. Jesus is the new King David, and he does not reject the requests of his mother Mary, the Queen.
1 Kings 2:18 - David in the Old Testament kingdom, Queen intercedes on behalf of supporters of the King. She is the queen mother (or "Gebirah). Mary is our eternal Gebirah.
1 Kings 2:19 - in the Old Testament King David reign arches her mother and she sits on his right hand. We, as children of the New Covenant, we should imitate the King and pay tribute to Mary our Mother. In honor of Mary, we honor our King, Jesus Christ.
1 Kings 15:13 - The Queen Mother is a position of real power in the monarchy of Israel. Here the queen is removed. But now, the kingdom of David is perfected by Jesus and Mary is our Mother forever in his right hand.
2 Chron. 22:10 - here the Queen Mother Athalia destroys the royal family of Judah after she sees her son, King Ahaziah killed. Queen mother played an important role in the kingdom.
Neh. 2:6 - the Queen Mother sits beside the King. She is the principal intercessor before the King.

I'm not Catholic, but an Apostolic Pentecostal, there is only a mediator and that is Jesus Christ. Mary is dead and his body awaits the resurrection.
No, not true. She intercedes for someone to ask him to. Intercession and mediation are different acts.
Typical casting a line of thought from the Bible and throw the rest of the Bible …
These are in the sky Pray for us
Not only those in heaven pray with us, but also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: "[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer, and was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all saints to the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God "(Rev. 8:3-4).
Fundamentalists often challenge the Catholic practice of asking the angels and saints to pray on our behalf. But the Bible directs us to invoke in the sky and ask them to pray with us.
Does the Bible Invoke in heaven to pray for us
Thus, in Psalm 103, which read, "Bless the Lord, oh to his angels, that the powerful make his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will "(Psalm 103:20-21). And in the opening verses of Psalms 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord of the heavens, praise him in the highest! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, his welcome to all! "
Jesus himself warned us not to offend small children, because their guardian angels have guaranteed access to the intercession of the Father: "See that no one of these, to tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven "(Matthew 18:10).
Because he is the only God-man and the Mediator of the New Covenant, Jesus is the only mediator between man and God (1 Tim. 2:5), but this in no way means you can not and should not ask our fellow Christians to pray with us and for us (1 Tim. 2:1-4). In particular, we should ask the intercession of the Christians in heaven, who have already completed their sanctification, of "[t] he prayer of a man just has a great power in its effects" (Jas. 5:16).
"But is not the high priest [Christ] alone prays for those who pray sincerely, but also to the angels … As well as the souls of saints who have fallen asleep
Rom 6:3-4
Or do you know who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? In fact, we were buried with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was resurrected from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.
Col 2:12
Who were buried with him in baptism, which were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all saints, saints, and to me that the expression can be given at the opening of the mouth to proclaim boldly the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, which may declare boldly, as I speak "(Ephesians 6:18-20).
"First, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be for all men, for kings and all those in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men be saved and come to the knowledge of truth "(1 Timothy 2:1-4).
But the Bible does not say that Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man?
A: Yes, in 1 Timothy 2:5 ( "For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"), but just to cite the four verses immediately preceding it, and you will remember that Paul said to them: "I ask that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be for all men."
Therefore, the fact that Jesus is the only Mediator between God and men does not prevent other people to act as intercessors. And we certainly do not displa intercessory prayer to God in the passage just quoted, Paul says: "This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior
I am sometimes surprised how the people can jump up and down what Paul says in 1 Timothy 2:5, and yet lose the subject of intercessory prayer, not only is the theme of the last four verses , but the segue into the discussion of Jesus only Mediatorship.
Secondly, he is the only Mediator between God and man because he is the Mediator of the New Covenant, in which we obtain salvation. This sense of their unique Mediatorship, however, does not prevent other people to be mediators in a parallel sense, Moses is described as the mediator of the Old Covenant (Galatians 3:19-20), as Jesus is the Mediator the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:6, 9:15, 12:24, note that the Greek word used in Galatians and Hebrews passages, tables = mediator, is the same as in 1 Timothy 2:5). However, from the Mosaic covenant is now extinct, leaving only Jesus as the Mediator pact today.
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so you can be sons of your Father in heaven, because it makes the sun on the evil and good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust "(Matthew 5:44-45)
The only Mediatorship Christ therefore did not preclude our brother and sister in heaven for Christians to pray for us that prevents our brothers and sisters of Christians here in the land of prayer for us. Intercessory prayer is both
In fact, the saints in heaven are even more suitable for this living Christians (saints on earth) because they have undivided devotion to God. Here on Earth who suffer with lethargy, distractions, concentration difficulty, and lack of fervor in prayer, in the sky, but none of these are appropriate. Our brothers and sisters in the sky are the perfect prayer warriors, having been freed from the distractions of the body.
For example, consider the following verses and the concern they have shown in the sky for what happens on earth:
"Then one of the elders [who represent the hierarchy of the people of God in heaven] is about me, saying:" Who are these, clothed in white garments, and where they come from? "I said, 'Lord, you know." And he told me:' These are the ones who came out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb "(Revelation 7: 13-14).
"[A] nd they [the elders] sang a new song, saying," You are worthy to take the book and open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you surrender to God and men of every tribe, tongue and people and nation and you made a kingdom and priests to our God, and reign on earth ' "(Revelation 5:9-10).
"Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were strong voices in heaven, saying:" The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ [this tells us that the voices of humans ], and they shall reign for ever and ever "(Revelation 11:15).
"And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:" We thank you, Lord God Almighty, which art and wast, you've taken your great power and has begun to reign. The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, for rewarding your servants the prophets and saints, and those who fear thy name, small and large, and for destroying the destroyers of earth ' "(Revelation 11:16-18).
"And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying," Now the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren [this indicates that there is a voice human] has been launched, which accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, since it did not love their lives unto death. Rejoice then, O heaven and you that dwell in him, but woe to thee, land and sea for the devil has come down to you with great wrath because he knows that his time is short! ' "(Revelation 12:10-12).
After this I heard what appeared to be the voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and righteous, who has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants. "Once
How do you know that the saints in heaven are praying for us
"And Onias spoke, saying: 'This is a man who loves the brethren and prays much for the people and the holy city, Jeremiah, the prophet of God" (2 Maccabees 15:14).
What makes you think that the saints can hear our prayers?
A: The one just quoted verses. Needless to say, for example, that our guardian angels are aware of what we are doing. It is their job to protect us, after all, so you can be sure they know what they are doing and when asked to pray for us.
And in the same way, when we read of the saints in heaven offering our prayers to God in the form of incense (Revelation 5:8, 8:3-4), we know that they are aware of our prayers.
Remember: Most of the Saints now have no physical bodies. Would not have prayer request cards physical or natural incense or something. This means that when you present the image of God with our prayers, which are not physically presenting him with our prayers, so it must be presented to him mentally. But if you are mentally present our prayers to God, then they should be aware of our prayers.
Sldgman has no reason to believe is a mediator between us and God
I thought it was a God now JC is just a mediator
thanks for the heads of
That, obviously, not in the Bible that Mary is the meditator. but that has never stoped Catholics making up garbage.
Looked OK "intercessory prayer," but the question is why Mary, Do not assume that Jesus, the mediator.''
EDIT
"Panda Bear, but for Catholics who have not maimed his (by Luther) Bible beating, historical fact."
Pity Catholic didn't want to share the Bible with the common people. Luther did was to guarantee to the common people in his time (for the translation into Greek), and when they heard things like indulgences are not based on the Bible and that he had lied too that mutinied
EDIT
"Every time a Christian prays for another, he or she is an intercessor."
Mary is not dead, however, pray for us.
It's true. The problem is that when it was discovered that Catholics pray to Jesus who is constantly "I have to go ask my mom if I can do that." Therefore, Catholics realized it would be easier to cut the loop only Jesus and go directly to parents. In this way, we pray to Mary when she tells Jesus what to do or places to land.
