FINAL NOTE: If you think about putting an end to a great time with Chase 8 years this show is perfect. The ending left viewers (at least me) with an empty, surprising, sudden, and WIERDE sensation in the stomach. Why would not the TV show about a mobster with a NJ whacking the end of the main character? Chase not only show you, which made the experience, and kind of "feel" if that makes sense.
I think you have a very interesting analysis of the ending! I have not seen much of the sample, but for me the black happens suddenly at the end of the sample was intended to describe the uncertainty of life, and that could "disappear in the black" (if) at any given time.
