What is said when your heart Beat 3times During Catholic Eucharist?

My grandmother used to strike the heart with his fist 3 times during the Eucharist and whispered something, but I never got to ask what he was saying and what it meant to do!

Yes, said Mike. Does anyone still do it? I remember my mother used to do, but I do not think more. Note that she went to Catholic school in the 1940s.
Or any other that I have read that it is a common practice in Mexico, not sure about other countries, saying "My God, my lord," during the Eucharistic prayer. A translation is "My Lord and my God."

It is not part of the entire liturgy of the Mass, but most often used to include an act of contrition, which were part of "my fault, my fault, my fault more serious." It was in these words that accompany the action was done.

  4. Daydream says:

    Mea culpa - "My Sin"
