Why Catholics idolize Mary?
I was reading the Bible and found these verses:
Matthew 12:46 - 50: Although not yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and brothers were without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are outside, wanting to talk to you. But he answered and said that he said: Who is my mother? and who are my brothers? And he stretched his hand towards his disciples and said, Behold my mother and my brothers! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father in heaven, the same is my brother and sister and mother.
My preacher said these verses show Mary just as equal as anyone else on Earth.
So I wonder why Catholics believe Mary divine?
And what about the next Pastor, and the next and the next? simply their own interpretations, I wonder how many in a survey of 100 would be the same interpretation.
Mary is not a goddess, she is not a replacement for Jesus in the Catholic doctrine, Mary is not (the) Ombudsman, however, she receives His grace to intercede directly to the humanity of Christ himself.
Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, but Jesus can decide how you want to use mediation, is the reason that when Paul says that Christ is the only mediator, which also calls for the mediation of others, in addition to Christ, we are subordinate all mediators in the one Mediator.
That is why we can pray for me and I can pray for you. Father accepts our prayers when united to his Son, this is also why Paul says that he does what is lacking in Christ's sufferings for the sake of his body, the Church (Col 1: 24). Lacking of the sufferings of Christ? Of course not, then why did Paul write this? God accepts Paul subordinate mediation and suffering when united to His Son, this is part of the mystery of the Church and the Communion of Saints.

… Mary (a young Hebrew) has been throughout the millennia, dragged through the "religious" dogma triditions and pseudo-spiritual exercise of the universal Church of Rome. "She" is not God and never claimed to be … as a matter of fact the Scriptures, that is a servant of the Lord (Luke 1 vs 38.) And you need a Savior, like everyone else. (Luke: 1. Facing 47) … Is not it amazing how a male dominated religion that has had women in its hierarchy, lifts this Hebrew servant girl to a place not authorized in Scripture.
I do not really know the answer to that either. I suppose that because she is a model for women, but anyone who prays to know your account by reading the Bible, she does not hear them, she was not god, nor are the saints of the Old Testament. I do not know where I need to pray for people who are doing no good, it is nowhere in the Bible.

Mary was a human being. She was saved by God from sin at the time of conception. She remained throughout his life without sin, not by his own works but by God's mercy.

Ask Mary, Mother of Christ, to intercede on their behalf. They are asking Mary to perform miracles or heal anyone, they are asking Mary to ask Jesus to do so.
There is absolutely no difference between this and prayer requests at church. It is fair to ask a person to pray for you.
Catholics do not see Mary in any way divine or form. Does your preacher never read the Gospel of Luke? Speaking of Mary said: "All generations will call me blessed."
It is the example of Mary's faith is honored by us. She said yes to God in very difficult circumstances … she was faithful to the cross, was not it. His example of faith is brilliant … all Christians should be as loyal.

I guess you are a Protestant pastor taking his teachings of a man who decided that Mary was a common person. It is a demonstrator of the church (Roman Catholic), a division that changed the teachings of Jesus Christ, and adopted its own teaching. Ask him when the particular church, and who founded it. Here is a suggestion of his brother in Christ, why not find out what really Catholic and I do not think that instead of just accepting things that his pastor says or what his friends call him at school? If they say they idolize Mary, who are bearing false witness. Want to be part of his false testimony, too?
They believe she is the mother of God. She was the vessel used to carry Jesus, nothing more. She is not even in heaven. Jesus said, "No one has ascended to heaven but he who has fallen from heaven" (John 3:13) That means that Mary is dead and buried, pending resurrection as everyone else.

Mary is "as equals"? Mary yes to God through the angel on our salvation. She undid Eve did for us …. disobeyed God because of pride. Mary submitted to God's holy will - even at the risk of being stoned to death as a single mother.
Mary is not divine - or revered. She certainly is revered …. but never worshiped.
Sure there are some overly zealous Catholics who go a little overboard in his Mariology - Mary, but it takes all and gives it to his son, too. Mary always points to Jesus and said, "Do whatever he tells you."

Why was the Mother of Jesus. and she was queen. see Jesus is the king of kings, God is the God of gods and Mary is the queen of all queens. is Catholic .. I think it is something like the trinity.
because she gave birth to Jesus, but in reality it was only because he was a descendant of David to whom the Lord promised Messiah would come from his lineage. but that is only God kept his promise, as usual, but Mary should not be worshiped or prayed a. Only God can get through the prayer of Jesus only.
She gave birth to the Son of God. I'm not Catholic myself, but if that's your mythology is quite idiotic to claim that just like everyone else. I'm not aware of any mother of god in my town, but perhaps your town is different.

Even Mother Mary (pbuh) known as the Mother of all true believers.She is not like any other comment that the woman has a special respect at least for Muslims.
I guess that love because she gave birth to the greatest man that ever walked on earth. But the Bible says that only the Lord God must be worshiped.
