Why do Catholics believe Mary is so important? What is the Bible?
That a very good question. God made your choice for your only son Jesus, but the Bible also says we must love Jesus with all our heart, soul and mind. Yes it was an important person, but so was his diciples and Apostals, but presumably only to pray that Jesus Christ is God and the Holy Spirit.
- Why Mount Catholic statues of Mary and the saints that are less important than the Father Son Holy Spirit?
- But the Catholics did Mary Siorry What Do Yous 4? She was not the one who died for us ….?
- Why Catholics made a Goddess Mary?
- Why do Catholics pray to Mary instead of Jesus.
- Why do Catholics put more emphasis on Mary?

Julia_in_miami and StPolycarp right.
I could only add that when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary his words were:
"Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you." If the Lord God said it was "full of grace" is good enough for me.
She is used to replace the stick god of fertility and virtue.
Mary is the second Eve. As Jesus is the second Adam. Eve fell from grace, while Mary, through his Son Jesus, grace, and brought back to the reconciliation of God's people. She is the best example of motherhood that the world knows it. Catholics DO NOT WORSHIP she was confined to their honor and to pray as a lover exapmle that all may learn something.
If you were Jesus, would like less to her mother?
Mary is the New Eve, whose obedience is in perfect contrast to the disobedience of Eve.
Mary is the New Ark, which is the New Covenant and the Ark of the Covenant given to the former.
She was the first to accept Jesus.
She is the Queen Mother of Heaven - Jesus is King, and as the kings of the Old Testament, has his mother at his side, to serve as an advocate and a helper to the king of the people. That much is based in the Old Testament.
When Jesus said, "Blessed is the mother that nursed you," Jesus replied, "Blessed rather are they who hear the word of God and obey it."
He said this when he was not diverting attention away from his mother - was actually talking about her! He said that Mary was blessed by listening and obedience to God.
Mary is the Mother of God. Read the Gospels in connection with the birth of Christ. There are whole books on this subject and very good web sites I'm sure.
Let me explain in a roundabout sort of way …. Back in the 1930s the comic book superhero Superman and Batman were created and the companies that sell them are making money and doing well, but most children are buying and someone in the comic book company thought " how I call the girl in this market "The next day was Wonder Woman. You see God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, all are of the type of superheroes and they need to be a superhero for the girls
psssssssssssst. * Whispers *…..
coz that stooooooooooopid.
Jesus wore sandals ….. do not tell … statutes that have sandal.
.
The Catholic Church not only the use of Scripture, the basis of the doctrine. I could not. The early Catholic church existed before and during the time the New Testament was written (by Catholics).
Catholics believe the Holy Spirit was guiding the early church (and is now rector of the church) to make the correct choice on things like:
- The Holy Trinity (which is only hinted at in the Bible)
- Go to church on Sunday instead of Saturday (which is actually directly against one of the Ten Commandments)
- The Communion of Saints (which your question refers)
- What is written in the New Testament?
Things that are even more modern and
- Slavery is bad. Slavery is never declared evil in the Bible. This is one of the justifications for slavery in the Confederate States.
- Democracy is good. The Bible says that God must either be the leader of the nation like Israel before the kings or kings should be the leader, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's." This has been much talk during the American Revolution.
This second source of doctrine is called Holy Tradition.
With love in Christ.
just my guess, but I would say it was because she was the holy woman chosen by God to bare the child of God. you can not push his side after he does something so great. in the Protestant Church, King David has more merit than you do and never had any perfect and as children of God.
Was a call for the very Gabril Angel - but nowhere is it was high in the early Christian Church. The apostles were told that to his attention, but not worship. They were told to care for the sheep as well. Even the angels are not cult-like John fell on his knees and was told - "do not do it." People have wanted to worship other people and things for many many years, is not biblical to do so. I could cite many references in the Bible, but they take forever.
because she is the mother of Jesus, which is not often
Protestants are crazy.
