There are Christians who are Catholics. There are Christians who are Protestant. If you believe that Jesus, Son of God, fully human, fully God, led a sinless life, was crucified, died and was buried, rose from the grave in victory over death for the atonement of their sins and have accepted his free gift of salvation, you are a Christian. The rest is window dressing. I will say, however, there are some deep problems within the Catholic faith. Sacrifice of Jesus is all that is required for salvation or die in vain. If we can achieve our own salvation, his death would not have been necessary. Thus, baptism, while a great gift of God is not necessary for salvation (the thief on the cross next to Jesus was baptized). Communion, while a great blessing from God, it is not necessary for salvation. Confession to another human (priest) is not necessary, and no Bible - Jesus is the only advocate for sin. Praying to saints is not biblical - not only are people and God are not worthy of our worship, praise, or worship. They can not intercede for us with God. The Pope is not Christ on Earth or infallible. Peace.

Who says we do. I went to Protestant churches and all my life I have never heard a bad word about the Catholics and I have never heard that they were not Christians. I have grown to believe Catholics are Christians like me and so I've never heard anything different in the church. If I did know that in my church I would change my pastor of the churches, because it focuses on the wrong things.

I see so many people asking why Christians do not see people in their faith as Christians (Catholics, Mormons, Muslims). I grew up in a church babtist, listening and speaking, half the people who claim to be evangelical Christians are not Christians. Do not feel as if not part of the Christian community if you are not considered Christians Christian. Most Christians are not considered Christians by others who claim to be Christians.

As a Catholic myself, his response is as good as mine. I have come to discover that many people do not consider Catholics as Christians, or any other kind of prejudice toward the Church, are ignorant. Even if you take a few minutes to explain the basic beliefs of the Church, and let them know that their religion is derived from our own, and I think that basically the same things (Christ died for us so we can go to heaven), to be more open the Church and ask more questions. I know several people who knew nothing of the Church. It took time to explain to them, and now they are devout Catholics! Let the Holy Spirit guides the answer anyones questions.

God is not science ... * Count for anything? There is no question of what anyone thinks. " Catholicism is a type of Christianity. It's really no belief. If you're talking to people that somehow their views on issues of fact that really needs to get to the bottom of this.

The simple answer to your question is because the vast majority of Christians (Catholic inc) do not know what they need to believe in being a Christian, must be the most complicated and most incredible of religion in the world. You could argue that all Christians were Catholics with the Pope as head of the United Church at first, but why argue, is a fact that Catholics are Christians and Christians were long before these upstarts never came on the scene .

Trust me, I agree with their points all the way! It is simply the view of truth, and the things they have heard of Catholics from other people. I think that many people let others influence their opinions instead of finding the truth themselves. Jesus saves ... Rock On!

Only people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior are Christians. Salvation is a gift to believers.
