Why the Catholic Church professes that St. Mary, Mother of Jesus was a "never" Virgin?
Matthew 1:24-25 It is obvious that she had made him "When Jesus was born." (AKA Joseph is not the biological father of Jesus, for Jesus is the son of God).
- The Virgin Mary has Jesus have brothers? I would love to answer many religious Please.
- Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus Christ. Why do Catholics say it is "always a virgin"
- Why are the Catholics who Sains and Mother Mary Interc for us when God's Word says that Jesus said?
- Catholics … Do you accept that Mary remained a virgin permanent?
- When did the Roman Catholic Church Beging "worship" the mother of Jesus, Mary? Please write poems?

I grew up Baptist. and she has taught children — AC but my curiosity on Catholic beliefs. and now I have caught myself in a very small space .– when Jesus returns to Nazareth is said to have been received by his brothers and sisters. Catholic Bible says in my notes that the word brother and sister could mean cousin in Hebrew … but if that were true, not just say as it did when Cousin Mary went to visit his cousin? "that always weighs on my mind.
Mary remained a virgin throughout her life has always been the belief of true Christians, even before the Christian Bible was compiled.
Even Martin Luther believed in the perpetual virginity of Mary. Protestants and others who insist on casting that Mary had other children to base their beliefs on the erroneous interpretation of the Bible.
An important historical document which supports the teaching of the perpetual virginity of Mary is the Protoevangelium of Santiago, which was probably written less than sixty years after the conclusion of the earthly life of Mary (120 AD), when memories of their lives are still alive in the minds of many.
Which was accepted by all Christians, including Calvin and Luther, the "fathers" of Protestantism still believes in the perpetual virginity of Mary.
This is a REALLY heresy recent (last 400 years)
Peace and God bless.
Oh and look what I thought of Luther!
No, it is not clear and has always shown that she was a virgin. See the book of Esther for that — Jose understood that his function is to be the King of "eunuch". Also, people continually try to bring things in this world of things in the world of God and the two do not go together. Even Jesus said "my kingdom is not of this world." Apart from anything else, believes Jose - and the Lord has him in a dream telling him that Mary had the baby — you honestly believe that increase in the sack with Mary, the first chance came after that - - oh no . I am sure he had visions of what happened to the men who first touched the Ark of the Covenant -. The idea that Joseph and Mary had sex and many more children is the only progressive liberal party trying to tell people that the whole world — even the most sacred can not control their impulses, why even bother — — throughout the world do have sex because you can not help it — abunch of hog wash!
There is no verse in the Bible that the Church contradicts the view that the blessed mother of God was always a virgin. She was the Ark of the New Partnership and the desecration is not possible.
Scripture that refer to words that did not have sex at any time but time is marked. Said, that she was doing in the virgin birth of Jesus, but says nothing about whether or not she had sex later. Therefore, those who believe this suggests that she and St. Joseph had sex after the birth of Jesus is reading something in the Scriptures it does not say. Most people do this because of the prejudices they want to believe that the blessed mother ship was not without sin that she should have to bear the Savior of the world. Satan is the author of such a belief, and declaring that, if true, that Jesus was an impostor and a liar that the world still awaits the prophesied Messiah. He was not! God bless!

Matt13, 53-56, in fact speaks of Jesus having brothers, Jacob, Joseph, Simon and Jude, and sisters, also Mark 3, 31, also speaks of his mother and siblings, so the Bible states that Mary had other children after the birth of Jesus, so that no one is reading something in Scripture that ISN, no, because I have 2 scripts of the Bible, perhaps you should read, can only be that Satan is blinding eyes.It is true, but certainly does not mean that Jesus is a liar y. an impostor, more like the Catholic Church "
I know you do not know biblical languages because if you did know that in the original language of San Marcos and San Mateo speaks of kinsmen, not brothers. They were probably cousins. We know that James was his cousin and not his brother. So what have you done evil to the Scriptures. If Jesus had brothers then blessed the mother had not been entrusted to the care of San Juan, and if he had brothers who know their descendants today. The Church would have to protect information. Historically it would have some record of his brothers, but because none has ever had.
You seem very selective about what they believe in the Bible. The Catholic Church is the only Church founded by Jesus Christ. He said that to withstand all times, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it and that is the "pillar and ground of truth." The NT reading the Scriptures were written by the author and Catholic Christians. Therefore, according to Jesus, we place our confidence in the teaching of his Church and not the false teaching of men.
The womb of the blessed mother of God is sacred and Holy Ark of the New Partnership and no man can defile or desecrate without suffering the wrath of God. All Christians in all places and at all times have known these facts. Only in the last couple hundred years that the heretics have denied what all Christians have known throughout the history of our faith. Jesus is not a liar and an impostor because you are wrong and which is fed from false teachers. God bless!

The text actually says, "until she had given birth to her firstborn son."
There are two things to be done on the language used here.
First, the word "up" simply means "so far." It does not mean that things changed after that time and that Mary and Joseph had relations. It simply means that there is no relationship before this point.
The second is the Protestant misinterpretation of the term "firstborn son." In biblical times, it was merely a legal term. It was never an indication that there are other children after Jesus.
Also, Mary says that she is "the handmaid of the Lord." (See Luke 1:38) This is indicative that it was a temple virgin. This was unusual for Jewish girls, but still acceptable. As a temple virgin, Mary would have been totally devoted to God, as indicated by his own statement. Yes, she was promised to Joseph at the point that Jesus was conceived in her womb by the power of the Holy Spirit, but Joseph was much older than her, most likely at least double their age at the time, and most probably also a widower. Their contribution has been the respect for their vows of virginity and consecration to the Lord, which is why it was chosen to be his spouse.
Many Protestants also the Bible says that Christ had brothers and sisters. Again, this is a confusion of language. While Joseph may have had several step-brothers of Joseph first marriage, the word "brother" or "sister" simply means "close relative" in this time period. In fact, today the term is used when we call our close friends or cousins "brothers" or "sisters" or when referring to other Christians as our brothers and sisters in Christ.
That are incorrect when you say that "obviously". It is certainly not clear that Mary never had sex with Joseph. There is no verse that says that Joseph "lies in" Mary and "begat a son," with Mary. There is no verse that states that Mary had no children other than Jesus.
That are adding to what Scripture actually says. The word "until" means "until." This does not mean, "until now, but not after." Scripture says nothing about what happens afterwards. If you want to go by Scripture alone, read: "Do not know, because Scripture is not clear."
Matthew 1:24-25:
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife in his house. I had no relations with her until she had a son, and he named him Jesus.
"Until she was a child"
The evangelist relates to emphasize that Joseph was not responsible for the conception of Jesus. The Greek word translated "until" does not imply the normal civil behavior after the birth of Jesus, nor exclude them.
Therefore, this verse confirms the virginity of Mary before the birth of Jesus, but neither confirms nor denies their virginity continuing after birth.
With love in Christ.
Have you made the brothers of Jesus / Mary was a virgin?
I have to say that Jesus had no siblings and that Mary was a virgin. I can also back it up with an argument that is not based on religion, but rather on the basis of science and socio-economic structure of the biblical period in the Middle East. I would like to divide into parts so it is easy to understand.
Part 1
Let's accept that the Bible describes a person who really exists (ie Jesus), can be used as a reference for the overall structure of the life of Jesus how he plays. You do not even have to believe in God to believe that there was a guy named Jesus who was a bit of a revolutionary time.
Part 2
Women's Bible in the Middle East is generally attributed to one man. That man could be your husband, father, brother, brother, son of the law, or a good relationship. Unless a woman was capable of maintaining itself some exceptional circumstances (very rich family, prostitute, royalties) that a man would. Mary was not rich, not royalty, not a prostitute (she did get married after all).
Part 3
We know that Joseph was alive at least until Jesus was 12 years old. There is a gap of 18 years in the Gospels. We see Jesus, when Mary is 12 after he lost and then found hung in the temple talking with the rabbis there. We note the following when the wedding in Canna 18 years later. Nothing was said about what happened during those 18 years. However, Mary is now traveling around Jesus, and Joseph is not in sight. Because of this, we can assume that Jesus is now the caretaker against Maria Jose Jose is already dead. It is very common that young women to marry much older men, so that widows are totally normal at that time.
Part 4
Because Joseph was surprised when he learned Mary was pregnant, we can safely assume that it is not Jesus' biological father. We know he was alive during the first 12 years of marriage to Mary, who died before their 30th anniversary of Mary (when the wedding took place in Cannes). Therefore, if they had sex who were between 12 and 30 years to procreate.
Part 5
Birth control at the time was very minimal. It is very common to have many children. We know that Mary reproductive system worked because it was capable of carrying Jesus, and give birth without adverse effects later. When there is a problem with fertility, the problem is usually with the female. Female reproductive systems are much more complicated. Everything rides on the success of an egg compared to men a system in which a few thousand bugs are not big problem. Taking into account the fact that control was minimal at birth, the chances of Mary and Joseph never procreate after 12-30 years of sex are very rare.
Part 6
Just because other children are not mentioned in the Bible does not mean he does not exist. However, as Part 2, a woman had to be connected to a man in Biblical times. When Jesus was on the cross, he knew he was dying and that Mary will be attached to the other. The obvious choice for a woman are:
His father (who was dead)
Her husband (who was dead)
His son (dying)
His son in law from her girls (not all)
Her other children (not any)
This makes the question of "how do we know that no other child or children in the laws?"
Part 7
While Jesus was dying he told his mother (Mary) that one of his disciples (which is never mentioned by name) was to be his new son, and that this disciple was to treat Mary as his or her own mother (ie, be their guardian). There would be no need to allocate to each of his new charges if he had an obvious choice as another child or a son in law. This would simply mean that any children / child if there were laws. Furthermore, we assume that single women are not brothers, because it would have to relinquish her as a sister or wife to the disciple, and he never gets anyone to care.
Given the above information, I think it is reasonable to assume that Mary was a virgin and that Jesus was an only child. You can reach this conclusion, even if you are an atheist.
24 Exsúrgens a Somne Ióseph autem, sicut fecit ei præcépit Angelus Domini, et accepit coníugem Suam. 25 and no cognoscébat eam primogénitum Donec péperit Filium suum: et Iesum uocáuit nomen eius. [MATTHAEUS I, XXIV, XXV]
24 And Joseph rising from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took him to his wife. 25 And knew her not until she gave birth to her firstborn son: and called his name JESUS. [Matth. 1, 24-25]
25 "until she gave birth to her firstborn son" … These words and other heretics Helvidius more impiously inferred that the blessed Virgin Mary had other children besides Christ, but St. Jerome shows, by divers examples, that this expression of the Evangelist was a manner of speaking usual among the Hebrews, to denote by the word until, only what is done without regard for the future. Therefore, it is said, Genesis 8. 6 and 7, that Noe sent a raven, which went out, and not return until the waters were dried on the ground. Ie, no more returned. Also Isaiah 46. 4, God says: I am to grow old. Who dare infer that God should cease to be: In the first book of Machabees 5. 54 And he went to mount Sion with joy and gladness, and offered holocausts, because it was not one of them had died until he returned in peace. That is, no one was killed before or after he arrived. God says to his divine Son: Sit at my right hand until your enemies your feet. May sit no longer after his enemies are subdued? Yes and for all eternity. St. Jerome also proves by Scripture examples, that an only son, was also called firstborn, or first begotten: because according to law, the firstborn men devoted to God Sanctify me, saith the Lord, every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, etc. Ex 13. 2.
Hi,
The full honest answer is the Catholic Church founded by Christ, so even if you can find a lot of teaching to this test, it is much easier if she like me. I give my approval to the Church (after discovering their authenticity), and believe in it, then ask me how I can understand what she teaches. Any other form can be very confusing. I hope you find your answers. Be easier than the first. Jesus actually made it easier for all who do not have to be Bible scholars and theologians. So there is an authority and teaching of a pope and the church makes it very visible and the splendor of God's truth highly accessible.

Well bear with me now, but this only occurred to me this morning during my prayer time.
I was thinking about how Joseph and tenderness and love that should have loved Mary. He was higher and that only a teenager. When he weighed all that the angel had told him about Jesus and observed all the prophecies of Elizabeth, Simeon and Anna. By then, Joseph had to realize that Jesus was most likely Santo.
After the reception on the night of the birth of Jesus, Joseph of the angels could no longer doubt that Jesus was the Son of God himself. The Incarnate Word of God.
After getting to know and love this child himself, I do not believe firmly that this devout Jewish man would allow himself to enter the holy place that was Mary's womb (trying not to be graphic here). Would you sacraligious.
The level of a factual only other scriptures that tell us that Jesus' "brothers" were. For example, James, who is considered by some brother Jesus was mentioned as the son of Cleophas and Mary.
"Most of the Greek fathers and Greek writers, influenced apparently by the legendary stories of apocryphal gospels, considered the" brothers "of the Lord, as children of San Jose for a first marriage. Latinos, by contrast, with few exceptions (St. Ambrose, St. Hilary and St. Gregory of Tours between parents), they argue that were the cousins of the Lord. That were not the children of Joseph and Mary are shown for the following reasons, leaving aside consideration of the great antiquity of the belief in the perpetual virginity of Mary. It is very significant that throughout the New Testament appears as Mary the Mother of Jesus and Jesus alone. This is most notable because it was repeatedly mentioned in connection with his supposed children, and in some cases at least, was quitenatural call their children (cf. Matthew 12:46, Mark 3:31, Luke 8:19, Acts 1:14). Once again, the annual pilgrimage of Mary in Jerusalem (Luke 2:41) is pretty incredible, except on the assumption that she had no other children besides Jesus. Is it likely that she could have made the trip regularly, at a time when the burden of motherhood and caring for an increasing number of young children (which would be the mother of at least four other sons and daughters of various see Matthew 13:56) would be pressing hard for her? Another test is the fact that Jesus in His death recommends her mother to San Juan. Your request is not for her in his dying hours of a sign that would be left without one whose duty it would be to look after her? And why recommend an outsider if she had other children? Since there is no rift between him and his "brothers", or between them and Mary, no plausible argument is confirmed by the words with which she recommended. "
Because we take a verse out of context. Not realizing that is spoken in the following verses.
Mr Joses and James are in Matthew, Mark and John Gospels referred to as the sons of Mary, the wife of Clophen (Matthew 27:55, Mark 15:40 and John 19:25). Many early historians of the Church believe that Clophen and Joseph, Jesus' foster-father, were brothers or cousins. Despite all that concerns Mary, wife of Clophen as the sister of Mary mother of Jesus.
Simon can cross off the list because Mark 3:18 tells us that it is a Canaanite, and Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas and James, the son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus and Simon the Canaanite . .. "
Judas, we are told in Jude 1:1, is the "servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James."
"Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Mr Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" Mark 6:3-4
"Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And not all his sisters with us? "Matthew 13:55-56
Having been enlightened by an angel in a dream related to pregnancy, and perhaps even more so in relation to the words of the Archangel Gabriel to Mary at her Annunciation, Joseph knew that God had made himself as a husband in relation to Mary. She forbids him forever, and for the sake of the child and Mary can only live with her in a totally chaste relationship.
Living a celibate life within marriage was not unknown in Jewish tradition. It is said that Moses, who was married, the continent remains the rest of his life after the order to abstain from sex (Ex 19:15) in preparation for the seventy elders abstained after their wives after their call, and Eldad and Medad made when the spirit of prophecy came upon them, in fact, it was said that the prophets became celibate after the Word of God communicated with them (Midrash Exodus Rabbah 19; 46.3; Sifra numbers to 99 sec . 11, Sifra Zutta 81-82, 203-204; 9 Aboth Rabbi Nathan, 39; Tanchuman 111, 46; Tanchumah Zaw 13, 3 Petirot Moshe 72; Shabbath 87th, Pesachim 87b, Babylonian Talmud).
Joseph celibate as a caregiver
As a recipient of the great revelation of what was conceived in the womb of Mary, his betrothed, is the Holy Spirit and the child to be born to save his people from their sins, surely he knew that Joseph was called to care Mary and her Son, the Messiah, for the rest of his life, so the angel told him to take Mary as his wife.
We can reasonably assume that Mary now shares with him all that the Archangel Gabriel told him. Nothing less than "the Son of God" (Lk 1:35) was entrusted to their care under the shelter of his humble home, now converted into the Holy of Holies.
To begin with, James Protoevangelium records that when Mary's birth was prophesied, her mother, St. Anne, vowed that it would dedicate the child to serve the Lord, as Samuel had been by his mother (1 Sam. 1: 11) . Mary, thereby serving the Lord in the Temple, as women have for centuries (1 Sam. 2:22), as did the prophetess Anna, at the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:36-37) . A life of continuous, dedicated service to the Lord in the Temple meant that Mary would not be able to live the ordinary life of a mother raising children. On the contrary, was promised a life of perpetual virginity.
However, due to considerations of ceremonial cleanliness, it was necessary for Mary, a consecrated "virgin of the Lord," to have a guardian or protector, that respect for your vote of virginity. Thus, according to the Protoevangelium, Joseph, an elderly widower who already had children, was chosen to be his spouse. (This would also explain why Joseph was apparently dead by the time of Jesus' adult ministry, since it does not appear in the gospels, and was confident that Mary and John, instead of her husband Joseph, in the crucifixion).
According to the Protoevangelium, Joseph was forced to vote on Mary's virginity with the utmost respect. The gravity of his responsibility as guardian of a virgin was indicated by the fact that, when it was discovered the children had to respond to the Temple authorities, who thought him guilty of defiling a virgin of the Lord. Mary was also accused of having forsaken the Lord by breaking his promise. With this in mind, it is an incredible insult to the Blessed Virgin to say that she broke her promise not to have children of their Lord and God, who was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit.
the Catholic Church that the Scriptures together .. there is the composition and preparation of the new testament ….

Matt13, 53-56, in fact speaks of Jesus having brothers, Jacob, Joseph, Simon and Jude, and sisters, also Mark 3, 31, also speaks of his mother and siblings, so the Bible states that Mary had other children after the birth of Jesus, so that no one is reading something in Scripture that ISN, no, because I have 2 scripts of the Bible, perhaps you should read, can only be that Satan is blinding eyes.It is true, but certainly does not mean that Jesus is a liar y. an impostor, more like the Catholic Church
One has to assume that if God is on his "impeccable" and a "virgin" to be the vessel for Jesus Christ to come into the world, then we can - not just Catholics. After the birth of Christ,
had other children, but it was a "marriage" woman then, so it was still "caste."
Misinterpretation of the metaphor. Perseus, Horus, Adonis, and many others were born of virgins. It is metaphorical birth to the spirit, not flesh.
There was a tradition for a while mother Mary was a virgin birth as well. The Immaculate Conception of Mary was without sin also required.
Catholics do not see a lot of truths.
Example: How can a woman remain virgin after having a child travel in the vagina?
Or did they cut her belly to remove the child to preserve his power intact hymen to remain "untouched"
Paul clearly says that Jesus was the brother Santiago.
I do not know how it can be "read much on that.
2008 Year of St. Paul
Jesus was the oldest of 8 children with Mary and Joseph.
may not recognize them, because there are rumors the other 7 were Protestants 8-))?
Virgin in this context means pure, and not that she never had sex. Also sometimes referred to someone who was single.
I said that modern translation is "freaky" with Joseph.
The third Pope says he was actually "never" a virgin, but it was a bad spelling.
Meant the birth was a virgin birth, that Mary did not die a virgin
Catholic belief. as I said before, many Protestant denominations have lessons too silly.
Who profess a lot of other things that are not true. Mary and Joseph had other children after the birth of Jesus.
Of madness. Y chromosome, which came from a human male.
