Why the Catholic Church Want For people looking for their place of Mary Jesus for salvation?

Is Mary the mother of Jesus, play a role in the salvation of mankind?
This is making the Catechism of the Catholic Church ot
"Taken up to heaven she (Mary) does not set aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to give us the gifts of eternal salvation …" Pg 252, # 969
"Being obedient she (Mary) became cause of salvation for herself and the entire human race." Pg 125, # 494
Is this scriptural doctrine? According to the Word of God, Mary has never had anything to do with the process of salvation. Scripture reveals that Jesus is the only one that can offer salvation:
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

    N is not biblical.
The documents of Vatican II and Catechsim refer to Mary as the co-mediator with Christ, co-redemtrix.
That to me is almost the same as does the 4 th member of the Trinity and that is wrong.

The Catholic Church sees Jesus for eternal salvation.
Mary is the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of the Church. She prays to Jesus in all our behalves, like all the saints in heaven.

  3. Sophie says:

No. Mary was the blessed mother of Jesus, but not divine. She plays no role in salvation.

  4. Sldgman says:

If you are going to quote the Catechism for the Catholic Church expects to save, you should read the following:
125 The Gospels are the heart of all the Scriptures "because they are our primary source for life and teaching of the Incarnate Word, our Savior."
457 The Word became flesh for us to save us from reconciliation with God, who "loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins": "the Father sent his Son as the Savior of the World" , and "it was revealed to remove the sins":
2096 Adoration is the first act of the virtue of religion. To worship God is to acknowledge God as Creator and Savior, Lord and Master of all that exists, as infinite and merciful Love.
1181 A church, a house of prayer in which the Eucharist is celebrated and reserved, where the faithful assemble, and where they worship the presence of the Son of God our Savior
437 To the shepherds, the angel announced the birth of Jesus as the Messiah promised to Israel: "To be born today in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord."
389 The doctrine of original sin is, so to speak, the "back" of the Good News that Jesus is the Savior of all men, that all need salvation and that salvation is offered to all through Christ.
2812 Finally, in the name of Jesus, the Holy One of God is revealed and given to us in the flesh, as Savior, revealed for what it is, by his word, and his sacrifice.
594 Jesus performed acts, such as the forgiveness of sins, to be told the same God Salvador
1323 "The Last Supper on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his Body and Blood.
528 The Epiphany is the manifestation of Jesus as Messiah of Israel, Son of God and Savior of the world.
From these and many other citations, it is clear that the Catholic Church teaches that Jesus, Mary is not the savior of the world

One of the things that many Protestants do not understand about Catholicism is that Catholics do not believe in Protestant doctrine soloscriptura. In the Catholic Church teachings and traditions of the church are equal in authority to Scripture. Please understand that I am not being critical of the Catholic Church here, I just pointed out the difference.

  6. kaldeamo says:

Catholics honor Mary for her to Christ in our lives. They do not look at themselves for the salvation of Jesus, they look to her to intercede on his behalf to Jesus for salvation. Big difference.

  7. booellis says:

I could not see my car asking Mary save me from my sins. Just seems so wrong. For me it is nothing more than an idol, and God wants us to worship idols. It is curious that the whole basis of religion around him and the New Testament is hardly spoken. Teach children that will bring them salvation is bad law. But what I know I am only a Christian. (ha ha)! LOL

The Catholic Church does not want people looking for their place of Jesus to Mary.
Being obedient she (Mary) became cause of salvation for herself and the entire human race. "This is a biblical truth.
Being obedient + = say yes to God's will
+ She (Mary) became the cause of salvation = Mary became the mother of Jesus Christ, our savior.
"The manifold intercession of Mary is only the continuous prayer of intercession to God for us.

We share the view of Catholics in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal and Methodist Churches.
The Communion of Saints is the belief that all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When it dies and goes to heaven, do not let this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints. You, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.
As part of this family, you can ask your friends and family here on earth to pray for you. You can also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to the saints is communication, not worship.
+ + The Blessed Virgin Mary
"Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee" (Luke 1:28)
      "Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb "(Luke 1:42).
In Luke 1:48, Mary prophesied, "From now on all generations will call me blessed."
A question for Christians who take the Bible literally: Do you call Mary "blessed"? If not, why?
The Hail Mary prayer simply recites passages from the Bible (the Word of God) and asks Mary to pray for us:
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. (These are the words that the angel Gabriel said to Mary, a Bible quote.)
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. (This is Mary's cousin Elizabeth's greeting, another biblical quotation.)
Santa Maria, (The angel Gabriel said he was full of grace and Elizabeth says he was blessed.)
Mother of God (the Bible says that Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God)
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. (A simple request to pray for us.)
      Amen.
      + With love in Christ.

  11. www.peac says:

It's because Catholicism took the form of the Roman Empire where it is and therefore, as a Caesar, which Rome has an autocratic father, who presumes to override the law or not subject to the Bible.
Thus Rome preaches a false gospel, with decidedly different than the Jesus of Scripture. Therefore, Mary is exalted, as if we can not go directly to Christ. Mary in Catholicism is a kind of pagan "Queen of Heaven" (Jer. 44:17-25). Psychology (all priests are obliged to take courses at present) behind unScriptural Rome exaltation of Mary, is that your mother can go more easily than men.
However, in the Bible, no one is ever in heaven prayed to the Lord, but, "It is only my rock and my salvation: he is my defense, I did not move. As God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength and my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, you people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. "(Psa 62:6-8).
In the Bible, Jesus said we are going to live and from which he preached and the apostles (Mt 22:29, Acts 17:3), Jesus is declared to be our constant intercessor (Hebrews 7:25), and nobody is more qualified to be our intercessor, because unlike Mary (who was holy, but not perfect or without sin), Jesus was "in all points tempted like as we are but without sin" (Hebrews 4: 15). Therefore we are exhorted to go to Jesus for mercy and to find grace to help in times of need "(Hebrews 4:16). Praise the Lord!
Mariology unholy Rome is part of the broader issue of its false gospel, in which Rome is exalted as a (unique) true church. So it encourages reliance on faith and salvation for themselves, as well as the merits (presemued that can be obtained through its sacraments), instead of directly to salvation through faith in Christ, which is the only that it paid for our sins and rose to glory. And who gives us His righteousness when we confess our unworthiness and absolute inability to win sinners to heaven or hell or escape, and by repentance and faith in his blood and receive trust Him as our Lord and Savior.
You really do then and only then receive the Holy Spirit gives His life! This decision is shown to be baptized to identify with the Lord after the biblical way (under water), which is a Biblical command to the requirements that a child can not obey (Acts 2:38, 8:12, 36 — 38). And as one who was raised in a devout Catholic family, but later born again, I can state there is a big difference! Praise the Lord!
May those who read, I think.

  12. mike q says:

I do not know why so many people are hung up to Mary. First, it is not be a dive, it's flesh and blood like us. She is not God and equal with God. She is not worshiped by Catholics and the Church does not teach the worship of it. I spent 14 years in Catholic schools to 2.5 years of college and have attended Mass more times than I care to count, and in no time, I listened to a priest or a teacher or someone must be said that the cult Mary.
That said, there will be no salvation without Mary. She is a vessel for the Savior that God in this world. Even calls herself the "handmaid of the Lord." That does not sound like she expects to be worshiped.
It is also the mother of the Savior and that if no other reason, do not make it very special indeed "blessed among women." No one can deny that. The same title, Mother of God, demands respect and honor above others, but not worship. For crying out loud, people are so happy and excited about the rockers and the dignitaries and the people openly Holler and scream when they come around these guys. But Jesus' own mother enters the room (figuratively speaking) and the whole world seems a little distressed by the attention given to the Catholics. How sad.
Finally, you have to take this with Jesus, He made his spiritual mother of his church. From the cross, he looked down at Mary, his mother and John, "the beloved disciple. Who is your beloved disciple? We are all Christians are. And he said to Mary, "Woman, behold your son." And to John, "Behold your mother." He was going to his mother outside the beloved disciple (us) and tell Mary to be his (john's - our own) mother.
Note that you have been falsely accused, abandoned by his friends, unjustly convicted, tortured, mocked, spat on, carry a heavy cross up the hill, across the road bleeding. He was stripped of his clothes, he had driven through the peaks and his body was hanged in front of the crowd and suffering. Other than the thief, he mentioned no other people of the Cross. And, in his agony, dying moments, who took the time to make sure he spoke with John and Mary. Why? He usually does not speak unless he had something important to say. This had to be significant, especially considering the circumstances.
So please stop telling us that the cult of Mary. We do not. And please, instead of hitting her and that was / is nobody special, just thank you for your obedient response to God's call in his life.

  13. Midge says:

The Catholic Church teaches that salvation is through suffering and death of Jesus only. Like other people who know people say "going to pray for me," we say to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who, as part of the Body of Christ is in heaven with all the angels and saints. Do not worship idols and do not worship Mary or the Pope or the saints. It is people like you who call themselves Christians who stir trouble and undermine the teachings of loving one another. I would say in relation to Mary, "You will know by its fruit" The fruit was Jesus. Have something to say?
Art pastor, please show us the documents of Vatican II, where Mary is called the Co-mediator? and how about when people ask you to pray for them not to co-redemer doing that it makes you do the 5th person of the Trinity. You should be ashamed of himself for how to drum up that hatred of the brothers and sisters in Christ. Oh that will be so happy to talk with you face to face, because it sure does not listen to him now.

  14. Abel says:

Chick is a notorious anti-Catholic that uses Scripture and our Catechism to distort the truth. Do not worship Mary. We asked them to pray for us. Mary is a Co-Redeemer of all are the same as Co-Redeemer! We can pray and help each other to that glorious state of salvation. Really?
This was that Catholics believe the answer to your question.
Redeemed by Christ from the bottom (492-493)
Merit of Christ, Mary is rescued in a more exalted fashion "(Vatican II). The Father blessed Mary "in Christ with every spiritual blessing, and chose in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless" (Eph 1:3-4).
The Eastern Church calls Mary "All Holy" and said it was "free from any stain of sin … formed as a new creature. " By the grace of God Mary remained free of personal sin throughout her life.
      Total gift of oneself (494)
Mary responded with the obedience of faith. "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, make me according to your word" (Lk 1:28-38). He gave himself totally to the person and work of her Son. Church writers call Mary "Mother of the living." "Death came through Eve, but life through Mary (St. Jerome)."
Actually - the Mother of God (495)
She is seen as "the mother of Jesus." However, Elizabeth, moved by the Spirit, rightly, calls Mary "the mother of my Lord" (Lk 1:43) because it sees the second person of the Holy Trinidad. The Church proclaims that Mary is truly Mother of God, "Theotokos" (Council of Ephesus).
May the Lord of peace be with you!
Edit: Why not tell us about their faith instead?

  15. Rat says:

It is a common error that Catholics worship Mary, it is true that Catholics pray to her, and a lot (perhaps too much) emphasis on it.
She is supposed to act as an intermediary between humanity and Jesus … as if Jesus does not want to do something that a man prays, it is supposed to plead with him to have mercy.
But it brings a problem: if Jesus is understood as one of the Trinity, and therefore, God must necessarily be omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent. This means that if you did not want to do something, he has a reason not perfect, and she - a saint, but certainly not a deity - and would have no power to do something you do.
She is said to be the cause of salvation in the sense that it is a passive instrument, not in the sense that people actually saved. Being obedient is a passive thing, and basically just used his God for Jesus. So she is the cause of salvation as a kind of bottle is a cure for thirst … has what you need but has no value in itself.
The doctrine is not scriptural at all. There are three ways in which the Catholic Church is on his doctrines: "Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition" and "Divine Guidance". Therefore, some of the teachings of the Church are derived from the Bible, and some (including the role of Mary) are the way they are, simply because that is how it has done for ages. Some other things are done because Rome is what it says that God instructed to do so, either through prayer or miracles or visions.
In short, his is a very good point, and I am inclined to believe that this is one of the Catholic Church of the serious doctrinal errors. Thanks for pointing that.

  16. Lauren says:

I do not think that Mary played no role in salvation. It is Jesus! I have no idea why the Catholic Church wants people looking for Mary, which makes 0 sense to me.

  17. Meg M says:

    >> "Nor is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 <<
Yes, this is what the Catholic Church teaches:
"The name Jesus means" God saves ". A child born of the Virgin Mary is called Jesus, "for he will save his people from their sins (Mt 1:21):" no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved "(Acts 4:12). "- CCC # 452http: / / http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__

  18. Danny H C.A.B. says:

I've seen the book by Rick Jones and is a Twite. Play writing plucking game (taking scripture out of context) to confuse people and distort Catholic doctrine. Go here if you want to know what the Church teaches: http://www.catholic.com and http://www.scripturecatholic.com.
      God bless.

  19. Ms. Lady says:

Mary is the mother of the church. yes, she was a woman blessed by Jesus because of his blood line, but it is. no one should hold his superior to Jesus. no need to pray to Mary ( "you shall have no other gods before Me") for her to pray for you. you can go directly to the Father for it.

  20. James O says:

Catholicism teaches that we are saved by Christ alone and we all have a role as channels of salvation Jesus' gift to others. Other people have not led to Jesus and are not channels of grace to you in your "office savings."
Mary is cause Salutis "in which she carried in her womb for us to Christ and his" yes "to God triggered the events leading up to Jesus' saving death and resurrection. Mary can not save us.
I look to Jesus for my salvation
    See the Catechism. Para 970.
