Women priests?
I am a woman of 16 years of age. I want to be a Catholic priest. I do not want to change my religion to get married and have kids. But I want to become a priest. It is my vocation. I want children. I want to marry a man. I do not want to be a nun. Why can not a woman be a priest? What is so worng with that? I read the Bible many times and there is nothing that says women can not be priests. Why do not people want to live my Catholic High vocation? This is what God wants me to do the pope and Catholic teachigns and I can not say … Why not? say its cause I am a woman … thanks be to see what it is, but the difference between men and women … women now can do almost anything you can do, but men are priests cathoilc … WHY NOT?

if your calling to be a priest, then we suggest you go else and not let people tell you not to do what God has called to do. not trying to please men. certainly not try to please hands religion. there is nothing wrong with marrying and having children. Paul said that its better to marry then to burn. God told the woman and saved during childbirth.
EDIT Do not let anyone tell you what is your call. you and the Lord knows, not man. also Mary Magdalene was an apostle.
Well first of all you should NOT be a priest, the first and most important that a Christian leader is to be obedient and submissive to the authority of God on them.
If you can not obey the pope and the bishops can not be a priest. The bride of Christ as we submit to God, and as a representative of a church organ, which absolutely can not have leaders who are not submitting their lives to more of them. This is an extremely dangerous thing.
Jesus himself was presented to his father and mother in this world and obeyed the rules and regulations of all authorities in this land as an example for us. The only time he disagreed with the ground is where the authority does not agree with the laws of God.
Our Pope and bishops are subject to others and with God, not people who insist on rebel its own way, because they are gifted.
The church does not put women down, they are obedient to God! Women have different gifts and abilities as men and that does not make them inferior, only different.
Insisting that we must have the same duties as men, which degrades women really are. Our calls and functions may be different but no less. Being a good mother is an incredible talent and has all of his wisdom, knowledge and strength.
* Is Catholic
If a man who can not allow a priest, while you think "not all of the Bible is true."
Now for your question.
Because it would be a priestess, not a priest.
Judaism is not the Catholic priests and priestesses do not have too.
Let me start by saying the following Dogmatic truths that will never change.
1. Christ did not create female clergy.
2. Christ does not want to create female clergy.
3. The Catholic Church has no power to create the female clergy.
4. Never was and never will have women priests.
These are not rules, but are true, like gravity is a fact, these are truths.
Not all things are included in scripture, but scripture is clear in stating that the priesthood, whether that of the patriarch, Aaronite the priests, the Levitical priests, or priests who follow after Christ, are not open to women .
Now you do not have a vocation to be a priestess. A call must come from God and know that God does not want women priests, you can not have a vocation.
You also seem confused on what you want. I wish you still want to marry a Roman Catholic priestess. Catholic priests can not marry. Therefore, there is confusion about what you want. Similarly, nothing in his letter that says I want to serve the Church. Because if not, would have to talk about Christ, the sacraments, the Church, and other things. And not just talk about yourself.
Let me point out something. Women can not do everything men can do. Men can not do what women can do. Gender is more than bits and parts. It's part of your nature. Women can not be parents, and a priest must be a father to his community. This is much more than just a title. Being a parent means anything.
There are some very strong metaphysical probably not ready to explain specifically why women can not be priests. But I would start here and read thishttp: / / http://www.catholiceducation.org / article …
Now you say that on the day the women are just objects. Not true. There were a lot of important and often women in positions of authority, especially religious authority in paganism. In Catholicism women are seen as much like men.
Let me point out some facts.
1. The Church refers to it or not.
2. Mary is the human person and is the most important role model for all Christians.
3. In the structure of the Church, women outnumber men in most second level of authority and organization.
I can not vouch for the Catholic Church, but I found some texts from the Bible to you that might be useful:
1 Timothy 2:11-15
11 that a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.
12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain silent.
13 For Adam was created first, then Eve.
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman is quite deceived, fell into transgression.
15 But women will be preserved through the pressure of the children if they continue in faith and love and holiness with moderation.
This does not establish an order of value (as the man is more important than women), but defines the functions given by God.
As the role of a woman and a man in marriage
Read: Ephesians 5:21-33
The idea has occurred to you, "can be anything you want, but God has other plans for your life?"
Serve God in His ways, not yours!
Soli Deo Gloria
Sorry.
The Roman Catholic Church has never allowed women to be priests. There is no requirement in the Bible only for priests to be men. In fact, Paul commands that are for women "praying and prophesying with their heads covered."
With the current pope, much more conservative than any Pope since Vatican II, there is little hope that women can enter the priesthood.
There have been some possibility for a married man to enter the priesthood (with a shortage of priests, and the availability of that option for the male Eastern Orthodox priests to become married Catholic priests).
As to whether or not it is truly his church.
A church that preaches that women can not lead the congregation or the diocese, or church, or do anything else because she has female reproductive organs, I think religion and non-sexist, and I do not want my children to be taught that okay to be sexist, and I've never seen God as sexist. But that's just me.
Good luck in your search. Follow his vocation.
1 Cor.14 :33-34
1 Tim.3 :1-2
Titus 1:5-6
There are passages, the first two clearly separating men from women.
Sound unfair? In a human sense, of course.
In the words of the LCMS - "God-given responsibility to serve only to certain qualified men.Women pastors are not called to serve God in this way .."
Women have been given other responsibilities to God. The main (and obvious) to bring the life of nine months. Does this mean we should all be sitting at home and have babies? Nah. But this should remind us very strongly, which is not what we want is important is what God wants it to be.
Best of luck.
Apart from what you might hear in antiquity and the writings of the Bible itself, which is assumed to believe that women are just objects. I am disgusted that our ancestors always think of as sexist idiots.
Also, if you do not take the Bible seriously (and literally), then you have your "call"? What on earth is going to "preach" to others? That the Bible is a book of lies by men? You are much more quiet then spread lies about God. Find what Jesus said about blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
Methodists see nothing wrong with women who are ministers, marrying and having children.
And not a change of religion to become Methodist - which is still very Christian.
I will give you the answer. You may not like it, but it is the orthodox Catholic answer. Since the early days of the Catholic Church, a key lesson is that women can not be priests. Biblically, Catholics relate to the fact that Jesus chose no women among the twelve apostles is sustained, if Mary Magdalene was the thirteenth apostle, who are not Catholics, Catholics can also refer to passages from the Old Testament point to women as vessels for evil thought, such as weak will and the decisions that frankly can not teach (1 Timothy 2:12).
Catholics have always insisted that the ordained ministry is rooted in Jesus' own choice of the Twelve [Apostles] and that are the foundation of the Church. In a recent newsletter Catholic http://www.catholic.com/thisrock/2002/02 …
Jason Evert explains that "Two thousand years later, no one, including the Pope-has the authority to change the designs of the Church that Christ instituted. Specifically, the Church can not change the substance of a sacrament. For example, a person can not be baptized in the wine, or a substance other than bread used for consecration in the Mass is invalid if used, then the sacrament does not take place. Similarly, since the priest acts in the person of Christ, the Church has no authority to confer the sacrament to those who are unable to represent the men to Jesus Christ. "
Even on the seond and third centuries, Christianity had definitely women priests, but Catholic orthodoxy is maintained, these heretics were purified, and since the establishment of the sacraments of the Church of Rome, Catholic priests have always been men . However, I find it strange that you have no problem with the rule of celibacy was established in the eleventh century as a way for the pope to control the property of their priests, after all, when was the Bible that Jesus infer or his apostles were celibate?
Edit. I must also comment on the previous edition. You say that back then women did not preach, because nobody listens to the women in Jesus' day. But as I said earlier, in fact, there are many groups of Christians who had women priests, Mary Magdalene she wrote a gospel, or if they really did not write it (all the gospels that we have so far are pseudonyms, in other words, written works attributed to celebrities instead of writing the figures themselves), was certainly addressed by many Christians as a revered figure, not a prostitute at all. It is only by Catholicism and the teachings of Paul that women are denied service in the priesthood.
And for voters downers, i challenge you to do your own research and arrive at an answer to the contrary, the truth hurts, but do not punish those who care enough to read a book we are not our priest.
because of that simple reason. way back when, when this rule was made because the woman simply werent more than housewives. Now that this standard has been going on for nearly 2000 years it is hard to escape it. your not the only person who would like to see a woman priest, but it breaks the tradition. change for the better is never easy, but it is usually worthwhile to continue fighting for the same.
While this may be a sincere desire of theirs, not his vocation. God does not call people to something that has already banned. You say that you have read the Bible. Then you have no doubt noticed that Christ, although I had many holy women available, including his own mother, selected the men to be his first priests. Not twice, not five times, twelve times, but of the twelve! This is a direct statement of God with respect to its purpose and intention of his ministry. If Christ had wanted to priests in his Church, which would have made known to select at least one woman out of twelve originals.
This is not a rule of the Church, as the marital status of priests. The marital status of priests is a "discipline" of the Church, a rule. The Church became the State and the Church, therefore, could change that. However, the male priesthood is not a discipline but an article of faith, a belief in the doctrine of the Catholic religion, which can not be changed by the Church.
Sorry Hon, that never happens. If you want to be a priest, who will join the Episcopal Church and have a lot of issues now. Why not allow the Catholic Church - because it is the Catholic Church. I am sure that some of doctrine comes from the book of Timothy. Good luck to you.
Why did God call you to do something that contradicts His word? The Bible says that women do not have authority over men in matters of doctrine. He also said that elders and bishops have to be the husband of a woman - how can a woman be the husband of a woman unless they are lesbians, the Bible says is a sin?
Furthermore, the Bible says nothing about priests have to be single, in fact all of the apostles, except Paul were married men. Therefore, you should be able to marry a priest and his assistant and partner in ministry with a congregation and the church of Rome is not to allow this unbiblical.
I think you really feel this appeal and believes that God is calling you, but we must consider that the "call" comes from another source - another spirit - by what the Bible says that the test to see if they are spirits of god. If they are not in contradiction with God has said and if you say something different, then there are God of the Bible.
The Bible also says not to trust his feelings because "the human heart is deceiptful" - you can feel bad and will take you the wrong way.
