You can go to confession even if you're not Catholic?

My church is not practical, but I like the idea and I would do at least once. How?

The Lutheran church practice public confession during the service, however, one can make a private confession if they wish. Usually when something is really heavy, which in your heart or have done something that is only necessary to speak out. It is a personal choice. There is no penance, only an acquittal.
I went to my pastor before with a problem. We started with a prayer. I established what was happening and how they fight. He offered absolution. Then discussed how to overcome. And finally ended up in prayer. My heart was lighter when I left and I felt like he could handle my problem.

Yes, you can go to confession, the priest, but it would not be able to forgive your sins, because you're not a member of the Catholic Church.
I am confident, however, that the priest will be glad to hear his confession, talk to you about your sins and how to avoid sin in the future and give a blessing. Be up front with the priest and tell him that you are not Catholic, but would like to confess their sins and receive a blessing.
What would make a good first test of concsience. A good examination of conscience can be found online at http://frpat.com/examen.htm
Most churches have certain hours during the week to set aside the confession. I want to go and talk to the priest, if no one else is waiting.
I would be interested in hearing your experience in doing this.

Yes and no. Yes, the Catholic priest and confessor in the confessional, I do not know if you are Catholic or not, if you know how to confess. No, because his confession would be invalid unless the non-Catholic church, the Anglican church, for example, believe in the sacramental confession and you think you are dying and their non-Catholic minister. However, it is best that you talk to a priest for confession was the confession to a priest by a Catholic is not useless.

Unfortunately non-Catholics can not receive any legitimate Catholic receive sacraments, except in extreme circumstances like danger.
Before receiving the confirmation and the Eucharist in the process of entry into full communion with the Catholic Church, the baptized receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).
Not baptized to join the Catholic Church often receive Reconciliation for the first time one or two months after the baptism.
However, no one can talk to a Catholic priest about any issue in your life without absolution.
      With love in Christ.

  9. Adoptive Father says:

If you have not received the Catholic sacrament of confession, then they must go to confession. If something is worrying that I suggest you make an appointment to talk with your pastor. You might even call a Catholic church to speak with a priest, but the confessional booth would be an unsuitable location for a chat with a priest.

  10. Jarien says:

There is no confession, and confession.
You can make an appointment with your own clergy, to discuss his life and how best to shape it according to their religious beliefs.
However, if you are not a practicing Catholic, going to a Catholic priest to ask for the confession is not the way to go about the business. You could make an appointment and ask to be educated about the Catholic faith and its practices regarding the confession … simply random, but walk into a church and try to get his confession and penance and absolution, but because of faith or understanding of the act … it would be hollow at best, and the priest could reject his confession.
Look for education first, then experience first hand, to avoid giving the impression of mocking the faith of another.
