And the Pope Limbo?
The idea that unbaptized babies has been accepted and taught by the Catholic Church for centuries. Yes there was some debate, but was accepted by most Catholics and taught as truth. Then one day the pope said he did not think babies go to limbo really. He just basically not a 180 on the teachings of the Church. Because the Pope said, which was accepted. So I have to wonder how far this goes. What if the Pope came out tomorrow and said Purgatory no longer exists. Catholics must begin to condemn the idea of purgatory? What if the Koran said to be inspired of God. Catholics who defend him then? To what extent the acceptance of what the Pope says go? Do not tell me that things like this never happen. Many people have said the same about limbo.

Great question!
Catholics must accept the interpretation of the Bible by their leaders so that they are not allowed to interpret for themselves.
I see two possibilities … I am unable to discern, but it will happen:
1) One is a great fear that a Pope one day, have the right to be God … like Jesus was and is God. (Can you imagine?)
2) My "hope for the Pope," however, is that God raised this man of God who "infiltrated" into the top of the Catholic Church … and for all Catholics and people who cry out for forgiveness … in sackcloth and ashes … and then "correct" teaching all the evil that has occurred over the years by men "that have crept in unaware." And yes, the laity will follow your example … as in the nation of Jonah in Nineveh. And we, as Protestants have to watch ourselves get upset and angry with the Lord … even for this bitter …
On that day, Lord … I say just as He said to Jonah:
"Is it right to be angry for the plant?" And he said: "Yes, do well to be angry, angry enough to die." And the Lord said, "pity the plant, for which no work, nor does it grow, which came in one night and perished in the night. And I do not pity Nineveh, that great city, where more than 120,000 people who do not know his right hand his left, and also much cattle? "
For Roman Catholicism is a "big city" … that there are well over 120,000 people who can not discern between their right hand and his left hand!
= = = = = = =
However, if any of these really happens, I will look with excitement to the clouds … if you know what I mean … looking for the glorious return of our Savior and King!

Who is the Pope to begin? A sinner like you and me, nobody special. If you follow a religion that is not based on the Bible, you have this type of situation.
This is what scares me most of the potato-is that he has much power and can change anything he wants, and Catholics are only accepted!
There's an old saying-"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts Absolutly"
Anybody want to say that the Pope does not have absolute power?
When reffering to these teachings as God speaks through the pope
As old as the Pope, that is, No, No one has little trouble bending himsef (especially with the cool hat) to get under that bar. I did not know the pope limbo.
I am so Bummer. Here I thought I had pictures of Pope doing the limbo …..

God bless
Limbo was never canon law.
Pope has too much power.
Pope = False Prophet
Each time a Pope change his mind about something, the whole flock, not too much. That is a problem of confidence in man, not God. Sola Scriptura!
The "Pope" is not in the Bible and not Jesus.
The Catholic church is a creation of sinners! They can say whatever they want about Pedro, Yada Yada, but nowhere else in Scripture there are even plans for the creation of any church, much less Catholic (Church universal) O'l with Pete at the helm! The man is sin and everything it touches becomes Tainted including any Organized Religion / church! The "Church" of Scripture is the "Body of believers," not an "Organization" or "Buildings! Man has no integrity, and power lust only do what benefits them! This "Lust" has permeated the Catholic organization that is why when you travel the world UU can see "Differences in Worship" in different countries, in the church! It was "allowed" to satisfy the "natives" so the church receives from them what they want! I 'm 57, born Catholic and the Church change its dogma seen many, many times over the years under the "Guise" in the "infallibility" of the Pope and it is simply not true! U are right, that has happened in the past and will happen again! I am sure my grandmother is rolling in his grave now that this happening in your church. Juan
Not that I did a 180 — simply said that they are free to believe they could go to heaven it does not exclude completely the limbo. He said he was not sure what happens to babies, but because we know that the Lord is merciful that they are free to believe they were with him in heaven.
Why not get a job instead of harassing the Catholics and other religions throughout the day and night, then maybe you do not feel like such a loser who had to put others to do their own back we look better.
Again, a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Church teaches is at stake here.
Limbo has never been formally defined and declared "real" by the Church. It is a proposal in response to reflection on "what happens to the unbaptized, and was considered not only children but all people, at all times, who could not receive the gift of baptism.
It was always undergirded by the truth that God is merciful. And the recent guidance from the Pope is meant to reinforce the truth in the minds of the faithful. The Church never said that there is such a place, that there can be only one place in the economy of salvation. In the end, the final disposition has been declared in God's hands. Limbo is a way of thinking about what could be.
Please stop holding on the idea that "the doctrine of Pope changes at will." That is false. The doctrine does not change. Discipline can be adapted to the times and the needs of the faithful, but it is something totally different.
