Answer Please Catholics …?
I am in no way being critical or sarcastic. I just want to have a better understanding of the biblical basis for some of the Catholic beliefs and practices.
I went to a Catholic school, yet I never learned about any biblical support for some of the Catholics. I wonder if there are Catholics who can explain what Bible verses to support the practice of confession to a priest (as opposed to confess directly to God), praying to God, but to anyone (ie, the saints and Mary ), the sins of classification (ie, mortal sins), penance, purgatory, baptism (as opposed to an adult baptism), the celibacy of priests and nuns (and the nuns themselves - I've seen the word priest in the Bible, but not the religious word), so there is no verse in one or more of these, then what is the basis for them?
When you answer, please, a list of Bible verses that you quote book, chapter and verse, if possible. Thanks in advance!
- Why so many Catholics are not biblical teachings? Etc as Purgatory?
- Why so many Catholics unbiblical doctrines? Etc like Purgatory?
- Catholics … Tell me what you think about this? This is a legitimate question, I really like to know?
- Answer Please, if you Catholic or Protestant?
- Please answer if you are Catholic or Protestant!?

O.K. I used to be so, but I did some study.
The first thing you need to know is that the authority of the Catholic Church is in 3 different ways. 1) Scripture, 2) Tradition and 3) the Magestirium (the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops). Whereas the majority of Protestant churches is the only authority writing. The reason that you should know is that first you need to know to answer the following questions.
!) Confess to a priest .- "He breathed on them and said: Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven, if not forgive them, they are forgiven. "(John 20:23)
2) Pray to anyone but God - This is the teaching of the Church from the first book of Maccabees. An apocryphal book that the only exception among Catholic circles. I could not quote you because I do not have a copy of it to me now.
3) Classification sins - this more difficult, more time writing theology. Is not taken from a verse of scripture directly, but is taken from the idea that sin can be committed knowingly or unknowingly. That is, for the most part, accurate. It's true.
4) Purgatory - I think this book is taken from another apocryphal. Is the idea that if you die and have no chance of receiving the last rights we have to be "purged" of others without being unconfessed.
5) Baptism - This is from Matthew 28:19, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." Catholics (and some Protestants0 translate this means when it says "all nations" that all nations include men, women and children.
6) The celibacy of priests and nuns - This comes from 1 Corinthians 7:8 where Paul says, "But I say to the unmarried … It's good for them to remain even as I, no. "Celibacy is more or less a personal sacrifice to the Lord. God says that He has your full attention. Your not concerned about how to please your spouse, your interested in how to please God.
All of the Catholic Church are derived from the teachings of 2000 years of tradition. It would take years and years to learn them all. This is just a brief description of what these teachings mean, can be much more in depth.
If you have further questions regarding the Catholic doctrine, please do not hesitate to email and ask.
Doctrine of the Catholic Church is one half of the bible, and the other half of the tradition. Tradition is of equal importance with the Bible.
The following was written by a woman claiming to be Catholic, in another question .. How in the world can believe this:
Mary was born without sin of the fathers … but she was still conceived the traditional human form. His sin was removed by the Holy Spirit in the womb.
Mary is one step below the Holy Trinity and above the angels, apostles and saints. We believe that she did not die, his body was promoted directly to heaven <Thessalonians 4:14>. If you're going to have an emphasis <Turkey> tourist place where you can visit, where many believe that rose to heaven.
where you never find in the Bible.

The Lord says you can not live by bread alone. God is Love
If Jews do something wrong, they need only ask for forgiveness from Gd. and if you did something bad to a person have to apologize to that person, and gd.
Please understand that you have a rule of life. The Bible. Catholics have two rules in life. Namely, the Bible and the Pope.
All these things that are on the list of the Pope. Regards.
You do not have to confess directly to a priest. My father says you can confess to anyone that does not have to be a priest. Jesus said to the apostles after the resurrection announcement said, "who forgives sins are forgiven. Who retain the sins that are retained. " This statement gives anyone the power to forgive or not forgive any sin.
The Catholic Church is based on tradition, not the Bible. You will never find any answers there either. Jesus told his followers should love one another. Now a church who sexually abuse young children and participates in the political element as a sound according to Jesus? I sounds as if part of the Great Babylon. Revelation says will be destroyed by the savage beast. Now could be the wild beast of the United Nations?
my father said in his homily: "Believing is seeing .."
I realize that I am not qualified to answer this because I am not Catholic, but I have some theories. Mostly, traditions in Catholicism is based on "best estimate". That is my idea. All Christian denominations are facing problems because the Bible is difficult to interpret. Probably because we are human and incapable of understanding anything completely. Therefore, to do the best they can with what they have. I think that Catholics originally based on these practices, perhaps: Infant Baptism - Bible seems to say everyone should be baptized, not necessarily as part of a conversion experience. if you are afraid of what would happen to a baby who died, not having the opportunity to accept Christ, it makes sense to them that God gave us baptism so that they can enter heaven. Intercession (prayer to the saints or the confession to the priests) are thought to probably be cautious, because it reasoned, we are so sinful, we must get the best representation of us. Also, in practice, many Catholics were poor, uneducated and illiterate, and more confident in their Protestant priest we do today. Purgatory and the classification of sins, probably reasoned, was necessary because without a tarnished soul could not enter the kingdom of heaven. Penence because it seems outrageous that people should not be held accountable for their actions. Celibacy, probably because many of the apostles and the church are original founders. Nuns? Not everything we do today (this includes most denominations) originated with the writing, but that does not necessarily mean it is wrong. We do things to please God. I do not think the effort you have left after the founding of the first Christian churches. They were also inconcievable that Jesus could be born of a woman imperfect, so Mary was inflated to the condition of being almost free of guilt itself. "Immaculate conception", which was designed away original sin, and "hypothesis", which took the body and all, into the sky. are not biblical, but the Catholic Church at the time, were the only things that make sense.
While we have progressed intellectually as soon as these practices started, just tell me that we "have" now. there are still issues relating to Christianity limits. One of the biggest is "what God demands of us to become a Christian? Is it a confirmation? The "sinner's prayer? "Baptism? Good behavior? "There is no satisfactory answer to this question. But all we can do is try the best. Research, reading the Bible, pray. I feel like God knows we are imperfect, and with His help, I think we will get where He leads.
a good solution would be to mail a letter to a priest .. would be happy to rewrite a letter with a great description of what you need to know u
must confess only to God
just pray to God (ten Condmanments "but shall have no other gods before Me")
I must be baptized by his own will, not when you do not know what you are doing
God says that everyone should be married women are designed to make the family even monja (i thnk its compound) is to include women in celebecy (that is my opion)
