Can a "well informed" non-Catholic Christian, Please, Please give me a reason why I Should not be a Catholic?

Please do not give me hollow and easily refuted reasons such as:
1.) Salvation is by faith … just do a search on "faith" and "only" in the same step of any verse in the New Testament and tell me what I find … except that the time (James 2:24)
2.) Do not call the priests "Father" … Paul calls himself the father in I Cor 4:15
3.) That Catholics worship Mary and other saints. Look for the word "worship" This is not to "worship"
4.) The RCC basa no authority in its "solo scriptura" The Bible does not teach that. What is the foundation of truth? Ans Church (I Tim 3:15). The church is the product of the Bible and not vice versa.
5.) Transubstantiation: To not believe this would have to remove the entire chapter 6 of John.
Well, this is getting long … I have omitted many, but there are there any new ones that may not have read.
Please help me! I was 18 years of evangelical and I am trying to find a good reason not to be Catholic, but have not yet found a good reason.

I too was an evangelical, and I took the magazine to Catholicism. May God bless your search for truth.
You have tried very well with the common attacks against Catholicism. They also point out the critical importance in the Christian life to eat the body and blood of Christ, without which no life of Jesus in you. John 6:53 Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, has no life in you."
I can not give you a reason to reject the church, but I can point to an important reason to join it: It is the only church specifically authorized and empowered by Jesus (Mt 16:18, 18:18), Jesus and the church prayed not is broken by the division.
John 17: "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who believe in me through their message, they all may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May we also in the world to believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory you gave me, to be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May be to complete unity so that the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "
      Cheers,

    Are you a timetable?
You know in your spirit, when the right time.
Otherwise, wait … whatever the situation is forcing you to explore Catholicism disclosed.
Read Romans 12:2 … Have peace and joy in your heart …
As long as your end result is to praise and glorify God, and his son, our redeemer, how to feed your soul must be of any consequence to anyone but you.

I understand the situation we are in the same thing happened to me after 50 years as a Protestant and 25 as a Protestant pastor. At one point I was very anti-Catholic, may the Lord forgive me, and I became a Catholic, trying to demonstrate their teaching unbiblical and wrong. It is not!

So be Catholic. If I was going to be a Christian is what I choose. Today, Catholics are decent people, not very critical, kindhearted, and theirs is the original Christianity.

Welcome home the Spirit of the Lord has opened my eyes. People like to say that publishers Christ was in front of Simon Bar Jonah and changed its name to Petra (rock), which is Peter in English language and said that Jesus was giving himself the keys to the kingdom and the power to release and release in heaven and earth just shows how they are blinded by Satan. I just laugh when these so-called Christians like to imagine Christ was also there that points to itself, you know how Christ would have needed to do so. Anyway its now doing what I did 40 years ago and I feel so blessed that God chose to give the light of truth to me.

  15. Eds says:

    Josia,
If you truly believe that the Catholic Church is the Church of Christ then that is where you ought to worship. They are not following what is taught in the Bible to the first century Christians that their services and that is exactly what I want to follow. I believe that Christ is the Rock and that Peter was just one of his disciples. The Catholic Church believes that Peter was "The Rock" and that was the beginning of his Church. " I want a church that does exactly what is taught in Scripture and nothing else. I think the Catholic Church has added too much and do Priests / Bishops to be like God. I do not like it. Have a great night. I am available to answer questions if you want to ask any.
      Thank you,

  16. Samuel says:

Does the Catholic Church teach good works are part of their way to make the sky? I'm not sure, but I think so. Titus 3:5 says, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit;"
Another thing is: I believe that Catholics have a thing called confession, which confess to a Pope (I think). God says that we must come to him directly through his Son Jesus. Hebrews 4:16 says: "Let us therefore with confidence to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Prayer and the path to God. I do not agree 100 percent with any of them. The one I like best are the Catholic Charismatic. They are on track. I went to a reunion in Houston, Texas in April when thousands of high school and college were children in the Catholic Charismatic Center. Were high worshiping God with their hands and dance before the Lord with a sacred dance. Hundreds went to the alter when asked who wanted to renew their lives to God. Meetings like this is what I like.

  18. Deep Thought says:

I think you made a mistake: "The church is the product of the Bible and not vice versa." In reality is: The Bible is the product of the church and not vice versa.
It was decided that the Catholic Church as it should and what does not.
Why not just stop fighting and join God? It is clear that the main to the truth … Why reject it?
Ah, because the truth is hard to accept. I forget which ;-)

  19. Franhusd says:

    .
1 - Yes, salvation is by faith, then we do "works", because Jesus says in Revelation 22:12 "And behold, I come quickly and my reward with me, to give each according as his work. "
2 - No mention of Paul naming himself as the Father in this verse
1 Cor 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, but have ye not many fathers in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
3 - "veneration" - religious zeal, the desire to serve God
      idolatry, cultism, devotion
worship - the activity of worship
Bible-worship, bibliolatry - the worship of the Bible
symbol-worship, symbolatry, symbololatry - the worship of symbols
gynaeolatry, gyneolatry, woman-worship - the worship of women
4 - The Roman Catholic Church has never been and never will be the Church of Living God - The assembly in which God lives and works, each member of which is a stone of life, all of whom either together one another, grow up a holy temple in the Lord.
The pillar and ground of truth - There was never a greater variety of views on any part of Scripture that has been in this and the next verse. Commentators and critics have given to the senses and meanings until there is no sense of being seen. It would be almost impossible, after reading all that has been said about this step, for any man to make your own mind. To what or whom, the pillar and ground of truth relate?
[1. Some say to Timothy, who is called the pillar, etc, and left to support and defend the truth of God against false doctrines and false teachers, and is named for the same reason that Peter, James and John, is said to be pillars, namely the supporters of the truth of God. Gal_2 9.
[2. I suppose the other pillars of the earth and speaks the truth of God and that ὁς εστι, which is to be supplied as referring Θεος immediately to God, a little earlier. For this mode of interpretation to read the passage thus: That thou mayest know how you oughtest to behave in the house of God, the Church of the Living God, Who is (ὁς εστι), the pillar and ground of truth. How can God be fitly called the pillar and ground of truth, is self-explanatory.
[3. Others think that the words be understood of the Church of the Living God, and in this case the feminine in relation ἡτις εστι, which is to be repeated immediately after εκκλησια, the Church. The house of God is the Church of the Living God, that (the Church) is the pillar and ground of truth. This is the full revelation of God's truth is in the Christian Church. The great doctrines of the Church are the truth without error, the metaphor, or figure. Previously, but the truth was revealed in part, in large part with the shadow types, ceremonies, and comparatively obscure prophecies, but now everything is clear and full disclosure given, and the foundation on which this is true the major events described in the Gospel, especially those affecting the incarnation, miracles, passion, death and resurrection of Christ and the mission of the Holy Spirit.
[4. Still others relate to the whole το της ευσεβειας μυστηριον, the mystery of godliness, and to translate the clause as follows: The mystery of godliness is the pillar and ground of truth, and without controversy, a large thing. This gives a very good sense, but is not favored by the arrangement of words in the original.
5 - John 6 - There is nothing here about "transubstantiation"
Jesus passes the sea of Tiberias, and a great multitude followed him, Joh_6 :1-4. He fed five thousand with five loaves and two fish, Joh_6 :5-13. Recognized to be the prophet that should come into the world, Joh_6 14. That in order to force him to become their king, and he withdrew from the crowd, Joh_6: 15. The disciples take ship and go to Capernaum, and are overtaken by a storm, Joh_6 :16-18. Christ comes to them, walking on water, Joh_6 :19-21. The boats and the people follow him, Joh_6 :22-24. It criticizes his carnal reasons, Joh_6 :25-27. Professing a desire to be instructed, Joh_6: 28. Christ preached to them and shows them that he is the bread of life, and that what we reject, without excuse, Joh_6 :29-40. They are offended, and repair, Joh_6: 41, Joh_6: 42. States and illustrates his previous Joh_6 :43-51. That repair again, and Christ gives more explanations Joh_6 :52-59. Several of the disciples encountered in their assertion that unless we eat his flesh and drank their blood that could not have life, Joh_6: 60. He shows them that their words are understood spiritually Joh_6 :61-65. Several of them withdraw from it, Joh_6: 66. He wondered at twelve, if they also removed to renounce it, and Peter answers for everything, Joh_6 :67-69. Christ exposed the perfidy of Judas, Joh_6: 70, Joh_6: 71.
And finally, the most important reason is that the Roman Catholic Church
      I

  20. http://w says:

Well, all I can give is my reason, you will have to decide for yourself how good they are.
      1) statues - yes, I realize that Roman Catholics are instructed not worship statues. However, it is also true that the worship of statues * not * occur. What comes to mind is a statue of Mary in Mexico and one in Bolivia, where food and other offerings are presented to rot on the left and in front of the statue. This reverence is not - this is the worship of a statue. This is not charity - it sacrifices are left at the statue. I believe that Roman Catholics could avoid much of the idolatry that goes * despite * its teachings simply by removing these statues. In other words, by removing all the statues that would help people "avoid occasion of sin."
      2) the intercession of the saints - my only problem with this is that I find it remarkable that every saint has the power to the omniscience of God it has. How can Mary, for example, listen to the thousands of prayers being sent by his intercession? Simply, it seems unlikely to me * * holy as God would have the ability. The ability to perform miracles: yes. The ability to "visit" life itself. The ability to listen thousands of prayers and at the same time attend to each one: no. Just seems very unlikely to be an effective practice *, and I always prefer to pray to God in Jesus' name as Scripture instructs. Pray to the saints - that is * not * the case in Catholic religious services - seems, at least, a waste of time and effort that could be used effectively in the direction of prayer to Him who can not hear it and ..
      3) the pope - despite the fact that the Catholic Church has had several centuries of "good" potatoes, the fact is that there has been bad Popes have instituted policies that bad - and that can * not * be so in the future. Pope Martin Luther's time is the best example, but not the only one. Being Catholic means believing that the Pope is the earthly head of the church - regardless of whether the policies that the institutes are good or bad. Clerics are obliged to be obedient to the pope - regardless of the moral quality of the policies dictated. There should be some oversight in the same way that there is no oversight in the U.S. with the Supreme Court. The Pope of policies should ** ** a "happen bond" - the moral teaching and speaking - before being executed by officers of the church.
That's all I can remember from the top of my head. There are some other things sniggling - doctrines that seem entirely unimportant, but they are necessary, as the assumption of Mary. I mean, why * anyone * who has to believe?

  21. Truth Train says:

I really do not want to argue about it, I was raised as a Catholic.
Look, Mary, was evidently not a perpetual virgin. The Catholic Church believes in evolution. There is no purgatory …….
I could go, but I do not think that the Catholic Church still follows its own teachings. It has become liberal and corrupt to the bone.
But whatever. To each his own.
      God bless!

  22. Who Cares? says:

How about a "knowledgeable" atheist. Should not be Catholic because the name is more fundamental in Christianity. You should not be religious at all, actually.

You are obviously an argument for prodding as they are asking a question that have already decided the answer yourself. No.

  24. Nirvana6 says:

uu shouldn't because even if they become part of ur life is not Christianity and fun parts of the bible or even state must be a Jehovah's Witness, but then the state or other parties must be Jewish Bible is just a bunch fairy tale

Why not have the keys of the priesthood.

  29. Smell This says:

… Yes, you can (through God's Word) to help … I'm not sure "if" to understand how the Greek and Hebrew lexicon Text "clash" with the Catholic catechism … be that as it … First, consider the Scripture in Hebrews … Chapter 10 … compared with 11 through 18 (the priests of the University. Church of Rome are powerless!) … Vs # 18 is the clear scriptural documentation of the "Church" repetitive madness! (period). Secondly, consider the words of Jesus Himself … (The book of John), Chapter 14 … vs 6. NO intercession of Christ! No one is His Vicar! Now consider, again, the words of Christ (not the words of the old men in Rome) … Jesus clearly said, to "this rock" (petra) I will build my Church … I recall, Peter was not "petra" (or Pedro) was Kefa …! and the Book (if you can read the Greek Lexicon) shows clearly that Yeshua spoke of himself and the building of His Church … He is the Rock (Petra), where Peter was and always will be "Kefa" … Univ. Church of Rome, unfortunately, has lost the way they lost the guide aims to be a "springboard" to God when God does not need one to show the "way" … Remember, God (YHVH) is not a "religious" God … He is a just and sovereign God and His Word is a lamp to my (your) feet … All Saints in heaven can not do anything for you … only Jesus …

  30. Christoo says:

It was never salvation through the Church, but through the body of Christ.
John 1 tells us that "Jesus is the light of the world"
However, in the verses, Christianity was never similar to the apparent brightness of the sun, instead of the provided examples are: candles, lanterns, flashlights. All small lights.
The Church is not an "own name" the church is destined to be the reunion of Christ's body. The power rests with the individual hair to the church corporately.
Any religion that professes salvation lies in organizing the Church has lost the point of Christ's message. If Jesus had come as a warrior king of Judah and the line has been installed as the king of Israel, there would be no justification for an all encompassing all powerful church.
Professed that Jesus never told people to "give to Caesar what is Caesars."
Catholics also teach "Infused Justice" that the works are necessary to maintain salvation when Luther claimed "accused Justice" that our justice was a gift from God made possible through the sacrifice of Christ. The danger exists continuously focus on being saved and their weaknesses rather than the realization of God's plan for restoring the Earth.
I would never say that he is a Catholic is not saved, but can fail to see that the entire redemptive plan of God promulgated by Jesus Christ. We are called to build the Kingdom, they gave us our justice and could therefore focus on the glory of God, not our weaknesses.
      Blessings

  31. :-D says:

I'm Muslim by choice, and that for the following reasons that I have found after studying:
1 - The view of Jesus and Mary in Islam:
Jesus in Islam is considered a moderate view between two extreme views, humiliate Jews for Jesus and his mother, while Christians worship Jesus and raised him above that of Jesus' humanity denied and refused.
Take the example of Jesus, saying, "My God" in the Bible, one can find that in many places in the Bible as:
<<<After that one of the scribes asked him, What is the first commandment of all? Jesus answered, ((The first of all commandments is (), Listen, Israel The Lord our God is a God)) Mark 12: 28 to 33 (RV)>>>
      and:
<<<Jesus in the Gospel of John says, "I ascend to my God and your God." John 20:17 KJV>>>
and many other places … we find Jesus saying "My God" and prayer to "his God"
this word [my God and your God] or [Our God] means that Jesus said that we have a common God and that Jesus, God the Creator does this means that r created and kept by God himself, that just as jesus
always tell us to see Jesus (God) and pray with him, why can not we worship the God of Jesus who is the creator of jesus
its amazing how Jesus used to call God (My God) and (Our God) many times in the Bible, God is the one who creats rises and that means that Jesus always used to say: (my creator).
which agrees with Islam views Jesus as a human prophet and nothing more.
      Mary <peace be her>
Mary is also highly regarded in Islam as a great woman and the purest woman on earth, but as the mother of God! who had made pregnant! , Ni his gf!

2 - Miracles Of Quran Few
      Big Bang
In describing the creation of "heavens and earth", the Koran provides the theory of the "Big Bang" explosion at the beginning of it. The Koran says that "the heavens and the earth were joined together as a unit before they depart:
Qur'an (21:30) (Do not the unbelievers that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then they do us part clove) [clover separated into pieces means].
and this was 1400 years before the discovery of the Big Bang theory.
      Expansion of the Universe
this surprising theory was discovered in the 20th century that the universe is still expanding after the Big Bang explosion,
this idea that the universe continues to expand. It was mentioned in the Koran 1430 years ago: The heavens and (we have built with power. In truth, we are still in expansion) Quran (51:47).
Someone 1400 years ago can not know the heavens and the earth had the same origin:
Professor Alfred Kroner who is one of the world's most famous geologists. He is Professor of Geology and Chair, Department of Geology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. Professor Alfred said:
"Considering many of these issues and believe that Muhammad came from, was after all a Bedouin. I think it is almost impossible that it could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have found only within the last few years with very complicated and advanced technological methods that this is the case. "
In addition, the council etstarted Constantine forced people in just 4 gosepels, and burned a large amount of gosepels said that Jesus was only a human prophet no more, and killed the trinity that opos, forcing the Christian trinity ,
Constantine was a Roman pagan all his life, he wanted to be called Christian, but also wants to maintain its cree Latinos, so what he did was to insert the trinity of pagan beliefs and statues glorifying or idol worship and Christianity therefore, Christianity deviate from the true word of God ..
so now the real r Muslims Christians (followers of Jesus) because it follows the belief that Jesus used to believe and things that used to command, and not a diversion or a pagan belief originated.
      Conclusion:
      and finally the conclusion.
I found that Islam is the only religion that says uniqness absolute truth and God and, therefore, means that Islam is the only religion that are still the first commandment of all the commandments to Moses and Jesus and Mohammed, which is:
"For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD [is] a jealous God" [Exodus 34:14]
      and Jesus said to him:
after one of the scribes asked him, What is the first commandment of all? Jesus replied: "First of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel The Lord our God is a God" [Mark 12:28 to33]
and the Koran: "1.Say," He is God [that is] One, 2.God, the Eternal Refuge. 3.He begets not, nor is born, He is there to 4.Nor any equivalent. "(112:1)
Islam is the simplicity, clarity, direct teachings of God and absolute uniqness not embeded paganism or more gods.
