Catholic Mass today was reading a perfect example of a good answer for us the verdict when the Protestants?

on the priests to forgive sins in confession? When a man is down from the ceiling in a room full of people for healing and Jesus heals him, but the Jews said "wait a minute — only God can forgive sins" because Jesus had healed him saying get up and walk your sins have been forgiven - that healing and forgiveness of sins are the same thing, so I wonder why they think a priest can forgive sins but are just in love with the evangelicals allegedly tv heal?

You know, when the priest read that people are asking "How can this man forgive sins that only God can forgive sins," I was thinking the same thing, but I think this was just to point out that Jesus was God since he was forgiven.
You have a point, however, because the reason that the confession is to remind us that God forgives us. Many times we ask forgiveness but let off the hook almost as fast as God does. The priest is there to make sure to keep this in mind and do not take over our sins that God has for them.
Of course it must be crazy! I could not possibly have been the biblical readings and mass are not based on the Bible and have nothing to do with the Bible. LOL

It is a logical fallacy to say that healing and forgiveness of sins are equal.
Edit: I guess I would say that Jesus, if I felt like George Bush, no, that was my favorite philosopher Jesus.

  3. Cross Martyr says:

A priest cannot forgive sins because he is a sinner himself. How to know if your sins are forgiven. When you ask forgiveness from God directly, and approached by his Holy Spirit, you know where your sins are forgiven.

I just think it is funny how the website "whateverycatholicshouldknow" uses quotes as an indictment of the confession.

I agree. It's also a shame that the Protestants totally disregard all parts of the Bible that do not agree with saying that is not what Jesus meant!

Most Protestants believe blindly and wrongly attributing the forgiveness of sins that the man of the cure. They do not understand that they see the priest as God's consort, a person acting as their advocate.
It's funny, because it will also state that no person may act as God, but God works through people, then what becomes of Moses, or Choose. And why ask the Blessed Virgin our Divine Bar?
Another thing I believe is that Christ was the first and most perfect priest. Spent in the priesthood and the religious leadership of Peter and then to the other apostles then passed through the ages. In this way we, as Church, have apostolic succession and divine principle.
The priest does not forgive our sins, God no. But the priest, as the defender of God, God is working through him wonders. The purpose of the confession with a priest in opposition to the faith through prayer (which most Protestants prefer and argue) that it is very easy to say we feel a sin, but the repentance of a man, a person humble themselves, and an act of repentance.

I respect the Catholics and Protestants, as they both believe that Jesus is God. When discussing with others are just to weaken our unity of Christians and atheists who can win. We must always be united and the message of Jesus.

I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel he preaches is not something that man has invented. I have not received any man, nor was I taught, but I have received by revelation from Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that the Bible was "breathed" by God.
Galatians 1: 11-12 tells us that the gospel was a revelation of Jesus Christ himself, which was recorded by the disciples of Jesus and Paul.
God chose the disciples and the people whom He knew were going to spread his word and write the Bible.
The Bible was written by some 40 men of different backgrounds in the course of 4000 years. Despite being written by more than 40 authors from different centuries, the Bible does not contradict itself and does not contain any errors. The authors present different perspectives, but all proclaim the one true God, and the same path to salvation, Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
In John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"
The previous verse speaks volumes about who Jesus really is.

Lots of videos, sermons, songs are also present, along with all the miracles of Jesus, his parables and questions about his birth, crucifixion, resurrection are answered.
Many major questions are answered on Christianity with many examples that can not be denied by anyone, as
      1) Did Jesus really exist? He is God? Why suffer on the Cross?
      2) What is so special about Jesus? Why did you just see a man or a teacher or a prophet? Why should I see God?

In fact most Protestants I know sadness to television evangelists. And I think the real problem is that evangelicals, when you think of a priest to forgive someone through confession, have the idea that the priest as a person or a human being separated from God is the realization of this. And if you think that makes it sound bad. But correct me if I'm wrong, God is doing through the priest forgiveness. The priest has no power to forgive sins. But God has the power to use his followers not through a priest or the priesthood common to provide people with forgiveness.
Actually I had never heard of this issue. But faith is definitely not a bad practice. The Bible says to confess your sins and confess with your mouth. Basically meaning that is known, tell someone, either a priest or directly to God. Is like confessing their sins are forgiven by God.
On the subject of miraculous healing. God does some things quite abrupt. I know that in my life I've seen some things that no other explanation other than divine intervention. Sometimes God speaks to us in an obvious way completely, or things as miraculous healing.
I think evangelicals can get trapped in life, however. As I have said many Protestants are not loving what they do.
I hope you can use this for learning or something idk? Only an honest thought of another Christian.
      Edit:
Back on the subject of priests and forgiveness. rukidding provided an excellent point. People have a tendency not to forgive themselves. God forgives you immediately forget about it immediately. Humans are incapable of it. When someone confess to a lot more comforting and easy to forgive yourself when someone says that physically. I mentioned earlier that sometimes God has to forgive and tools to give us comfort. Not necessarily make you feel good just * poof * you use other people to carry out his will. Therefore, providing a sense of forgiveness through a priest.
and the person with the screen name only a Christian:
Your answer seems very rude and unorganized
You offer very little is explained of entry. Contrary to popular belief Christianity involves a lot of logic and its subsequent implementation deed contained no personal charge.
And a message to all Catholics and Protestants alike. I am going to say from a Protestant point of view because this is who I am. You say all Protestants as if we are against you on our beliefs (it may sound a little extreme and I say in the most respectful way possible) I've never met a strong Protestant Christian who believes that the Catholic traditions and practices that are wrong. I think the reason Protestants may say things like that are what they are, because (and this is opinion) that, apart from ourselves. We Baptists and Catholics and Lutherans, and whatever. Regardless of who was separated from that we are all Christians. And when people belong to a Protestant or Catholic group, who tend to think that the practices of others are wrong because they do not. Example (this is fiction) "I believe that Catholicism is wrong as Protestants do not have faith" That is total BUNKER! The only reason people think things how are you is because we have a "title". So the idea is that if we have an separate things, and therefore the other person is wrong.
For the record I am a Protestant.
As stated sunsandnrain leave all these tiny things drive us apart and then start thinking the other is wrong. That is not true.
And I'm not saying all "there is only one way to get to heaven, we can make our own way" I do not believe that. It is not true that the only way to heaven is to ask for salvation that God offers us and stop bickering and complaining that a name says this or that. The Bible says word for word how to get to heaven and I know we all believe the same way.
I want you to know that I say this not only from the perspective of a Protestant, but I found the truth about Catholics. Growing up I was told that Catholics do not believe in salvation through Jesus. I thought that because a person who was important to me, telling me this. I've noticed, and so has the person who told me that, that that statement is completely false. Catholics believe in Jesus and the only reason that believd that was because I grew up thinking that.
A big reason that people from different denominations and the other is wrong is because of examples like this. They said something completely untrue and I believe that as they grow. And since what they said was a mistake not to seek more information and investigate to see if it was true.
Therefore, in all honesty, I never heard from a strong Christian things about Catholics, and if they do they are idiots or have their wrong.
And I'm not trying to bash you or prove that his statement because of his bad Catholic. My best friend is Catholic and I fully respect their beliefs and practices. I am trying to show that some of the "charges" (charges sounds bad) and on average. The things you said he had heard of Protestants against Catholics, in my opinion, have been consumed by the world, or just have the mentality "that is not something I practice, so it must be wrong" and have not not understand fully what it is about being a Christian.
Wow this turned out to be very long LOL.
I hope you didn't take this way in an indictment. I was trying to open our eyes to the picture everyone Catholic and Protestant alike.
