Catholics, do you think Mary was born without original sin?

I saw someone say this as a response to another question. I suppose they are Catholics, because I can not imagine not saying that Catholic thing.
How is Mary was born without original sin? Where did you get that from, Biblically? And he did just start with Mary? O blood is also free of sin? Where it begins and where it ends?
I understand why Jesus would be born without sin, but I do not understand why Mary would be less born of a virgin too, and be their God.

Very good thinking questions! I asked these same (and more) by 20 years of studying the Catholic faith before he joined me. Your question seems honest which is refreshing, so many "Catholics" are only for questions bash our faith. I strongly suggest that you order a http://www.Catholic.com, and if possible obtain a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. (Ov, of course, the New Testament) is most likely that you, like me, are supriesd that if you read about the Catholic faith and the Bible refrence which is not really all fit together perfectly. Once you "Download" is really that simple. It reminds me of English class in Jr. High School, I had so much trouble remembering parts of the sentence, it kills me! After a year, we have learned to diagram the sentence as a whole ,,,,, who flew away from me, it became so easy! The Catholic faith is very similar to that. If you want to find a Catholic church near you, go to http://www.masstimes.org If you're really interested, inquire about the RCIA class, starting in a few weeks and are for adult education.

Catholics, do you think Mary was born without original sin?
We do believe that Mary was born without original sin.
I saw someone say this as a response to another question. I suppose they are Catholics, because I can not imagine not saying that Catholic thing.
Why not even Luther believed in the perpetual virginity of Mary. Heresy is only recently that Mary had other children.
How is Mary was born without original sin? Where did you get that from, Biblically?
Because she was conceived immaculately, without original sin. In the Bible, "Hail full of grace" is full of perfection in the love of God.
And he did just start with Mary? O blood is also free of sin? Where it begins and where it ends?
It started with the Immaculate Conception of Mary and ending with their assumption into heaven. There is also another Bloodline of Jesus. How could there be?
I understand why Jesus would be born without sin, but I do not understand why Mary would be less born of a virgin too, and be their God.
She was born of a virgin a.
      Good luck and God bless!

The quality of perfection at the theology of Mary in the fact that she is the mother of God. The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary teaches us that was preserved from original sin from the moment of conception within the Santa Ana Conservation This is an attribute of perfection. Think of a glass window. There are many pieces of colored glass that come together from a great image. Salvation is like a stained glass window. There are many parts of the doctrine that come together to form our history of salvation. Mary is the daughter of God, our heavenly Father, mother of Jesus, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. She is central to the plan of salvation. Therefore, he had perfected his God like no other in its creation.
Of course, you have to believe the Catholic religious doctrine.
Can not find the Christmas celebration in writing, or abduction, or many other things are still tight.

  3. Born Again Christian says:

By Adam, sin entered the world, and everyone after Adam and Eve were born in sin, including Mary, mother of Jesus.
The Word of God says all have sinned, and the height of the glory of God.

  4. strege_m says:

I was taught in Catholic schools. Yes, Mary was chosen by God (of course) to be born without original sin.
She was free of the burden of original sin came from Adam and Eve. Why?
Because (if you choose to believe that the explanation Catholic) God knew that would be the bearer of his Son, Jesus. Had to be an extraordinary woman, pure of heart and soul free from sin. All sin.
She was a mortal woman, but ordinary … born of normal parents like everyone else. Taught me what the word "virgin" originally meant, purity and the absence of original sin … not her physical virginity.
Now, granted, has been a while since I was in Catholic school, but things often change quickly in the teachings of the church …
Yes, there are biblical references about Mary's virginity, "but I could not cite for you, sorry. Maybe someone else can.

  5. Meta says:

All beings are born free of original sin. Sin is a human concept based on fear and religious repression resulting from inadequate conditioning

  6. Nina, BaC ..Bring back Schneb!! says:

They have much respect for Mary and her falsely made in this condition that was not a virgin.
      Mary was a human being

  9. Daver says:

Here is the problem. That skeptics are so "obsessed" with the idea of being born of Mary without sin that he "forgot (?) To consider why it was born without sin. If you understand the "why", which would be more inclined to accept the truth:
Mary - the Immaculate Ark of the New Partnership
Exodus 25:11-21 - the ark of the Old Covenant was made of pure gold of God's Word. Mary is the Ark of the New Partnership and is the most pure vessel of God's Word made flesh.
2 Sam. 6:7 - the ship is so holy and pure that touched him Uzzah when the Lord killed him. This shows us that the ship is undefiled. Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant is even more immaculate and undefiled, free from original sin from God to enable him to carry His eternal Word in her womb.
1 Chron. 13:9-10 - this is another account Uzzah and the Ark of God to dwell within the ship Mary, Mary had to be conceived without sin. For Protestants to argue otherwise would be to say that God let the finger of Satan touches his Son made flesh. This is incomprehensible.
1 Chron. 15 and 16 - these verses show the great reverence of the Jews had the ship - veneration, costumes, songs, harp, lira, cymbals, trumpets.
Luke 1:39 / 2 Sam. 6:2 - Lucas conspicuous in the comparison between Mary and the Ark of Samuel described highlights the reality of Mary as the immaculate and undefiled Ark of the New Partnership. In these verses, Mary (the Ark) and left / David arose and went to the Ark. There is a clear parallel between the Ark of the Old and the New Ark of the Covenant.
Luke 1:41 / 2 Sam. 6:16 - John the Baptist / King David before jumping for joy Mary / Ark then must jump for joy before Mary, the Immaculate Ark of the Word made flesh.
Luke 1:43 / 2 Sam. 6:9 - How can the mother and the Ark of the Lord come to me? It is a sacred privilege. Our Mother would come to us and leads us to Jesus.
Luke 1:56 / 2 Sam. 6:11 and 1 Chron. 13:14 - Maria / the ship was in the house for about three months.
Rev 11:19 - at this moment in history, the Ark of the Old Covenant was not seen for six centuries (see 2 macc. 2:7), and now is finally seen in heaven. The Jewish people would have been absolutely amazed by this. However, John immediately passes this fact and describes the "woman" clothed with the sun in Rev. 12:1. John is emphasizing that Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and that, like the old chest, is now worthy of veneration and praise. Also remember that Rev. 11:19 and Rev. 12:1 are tied because there is no chapter and verse at the time these texts were written.
Rev 12:1 - the "woman" that John is describing is Mary, the Ark of the New Partnership, with the moon under her feet and her head a crown of twelve stars. Just as the moon reflects light from the sun, so Mary, with the moon under her feet, reflects the glory of the Sun of Justice, Jesus Christ.
Rev. 12:17 - this verse tells us that Mary is the offspring of those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. This shows, as Catholics have always believed that Mary is the Mother of all Christians.
Rev. 12:2 - Some Protestants argue that because women had pains, was a woman of sin. However, Revelation is apocalyptic literature unique to the 1st century. Symbolism containing varied and multiple meanings of women (Mary, the Church and Israel). Birth pangs describe the birth of Mary and the Church was formed in the offspring of Christ. Mary did not birth pangs in the delivery of his only Son Jesus.
Isaiah 66:7 - for example, see Isaiah prophesies that before she (Mary) was in labor she gave birth before her pain came to her she gave birth to a son (Jesus). This is a prophecy of the virgin birth to Mary of Jesus Christ.
Gal 4:19 - Paul also described their pain as the birth pangs in the formation of the disciples of Christ. Birth pangs describe the formation in Christ.
Rom. 8:22 - well, Paul says the whole creation has been groaning in labor before the coming of Christ. We are all under pain of childbirth because we are reborn in Christ.
Jer. 13:21 - Jeremiah describes the birth pangs of Israel, as a woman at work. Birth pangs are often used metaphorically in Scripture.
Os. 13:12-13 - Ephraim travailing also described as the birth of their sins. Once again, the pains of childbirth are used metaphorically.
Micah 4:9-10 - Micah also describes Jerusalem as seized by the pains of childbirth as a woman at work.
Rev. 12:13-16 - in these verses, we see that even the devil seeks to destroy the woman, even after the Savior has been born. This shows Mary is a danger to the devil, even after the birth of Christ. This is because God has given him the power to intercede for us, and we must rely on your help in our spiritual life.

  10. Miserere nobis et totius mundi says:

    Mary of predestination
488 "God sent his Son," but to prepare a body for it, the 125 I wanted the free cooperation of a creature. To do so, from all eternity God chose for the mother of his Son a daughter of Israel, a young Jewish woman of Nazareth in Galilee, "a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David, and the name of the Virgin Mary ": 126
The Father of mercies willed that the Incarnation should be preceded by assent on the part of the predestined mother, so that, as a woman had a share in the coming of death, so a woman should contribute to the coming of life.127
489 Throughout the Old Covenant the mission of many holy women prepared by Mary. In the beginning was the day before, despite his disobedience, he receives the promise of a posterity that will be victorious over evil and the promise that it will be the mother of all living.128 Under this promise, Sarah conceives a son despite his age age.129 against the expectation of every human being God chooses those who were considered powerless and weak to show their fidelity to his promises: Hannah, Samuel's mother, Deborah, Ruth, Judith and Esther, and many others women.130 Mary "stands out among the poor and humble of the Lord, who confidently hope for and receive salvation from him. After a long period of time is expected to meet her, the exalted Daughter of Zion, and the new plan of salvation is established. 131
      The Immaculate Conception
490 To be the mother of the Savior, Mary was graced by God with gifts appropriate to that function. " 132 The angel Gabriel at the time of the annunciation salutes as "full of grace" 133 In fact, in order for Mary to give the free assent of her faith to the announcement of her vocation, it was necessary for her to be totally Supported by the grace of God.
491 Through the centuries the Church has become increasingly aware that Mary, "full of grace" by God, 134 was redeemed from the moment of conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Pope Pius IX proclaimed in 1854:
The Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin.135
492 The "splendor of an entirely unique holiness" by which Mary is' enriched from the first moment of her conception "comes wholly from Christ: she is" redeemed, in a more exalted fashion, by reason of the merits of His Son. " 136 The Father blessed Mary more than any other created person "in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places" and chose in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. " 137
493 The Fathers of the Eastern tradition call the Mother of God "All Holy" (Panagia) and celebrate as "free from any stain of sin, as if fashion by the Holy Spirit and formed as a new creature" 138 by the grace of God Mary remained free of any personal sin her whole life long.
494 The announcement would give birth to the "Son of the Most High" without knowing man, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Mary responded with the obedience of faith, confident that "with God nothing is impossible" " Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, which is [done] to me according to your word. " 139 Therefore, to consent to God's word, Mary becomes the mother of Jesus. Defense of the divine will for salvation wholeheartedly, without a single sin to stop, she gave herself entirely to the person and work of her Son, she did it in order to serve the mystery of redemption with and it depends on it, by the grace of God: 140
As Saint Irenaeus said, "Being obedient became cause of salvation for herself and the entire human race." 141 Therefore many of the early Fathers gladly assert. . .: "The knot of Eve's disobedience was untied by Mary's obedience: what the virgin Eve bound through her disbelief, Mary loosened by her faith." Comparison with 142 the day before, they call Mary "Mother of the living" and frequently claim: "Death through Eve, life through Mary." 143
      Mary - "ever virgin"
499 The deepening of faith in the virginal motherhood led the Church to confess Mary real and perpetual virginity even in the act of giving birth to the Son of God made man.154 In fact, the birth of Christ "does not diminish their virginal mother, integrity but sanctified it. "155 And so the liturgy of the Church celebrates Mary as Aeiparthenos, the" ever virgin "156
500 Against this doctrine the objection is that at times the Bible mentions brothers and sisters Jesus.157 The Church has always understood these passages do not refer to other children of the Virgin Mary. In fact, James and Joseph, "brothers of Jesus are children of another Mary, a disciple of Christ, whom St. Matthew significantly calls" the other Mary "158 is a close relationship of Jesus, according an expression of the Old Testament 159
501 Jesus is the only son of Mary, but her spiritual motherhood extends to all men who actually came to save: "The Son of God who brought whom he placed as the firstborn among many brethren, ie faithful in whose generation and formation which cooperates with the love of a mother. "160
II. DEVOTION TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN
971 "All generations will call me blessed": "The Church's devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship." 513 The Church rightly honors "the Blessed Virgin with special devotion. Since the most ancient times the Blessed Virgin has been honored with the title "Mother of God," for whose protection the faithful fly in all their dangers and needs …. This very special devotion … differs essentially from the adoration given to the incarnate Word and equally to the Father and the Holy Spirit, and promoted heavily this worship. " 514 The liturgical feasts dedicated to the Mother of God and Marian prayer, the rosary, an epitome of the whole Gospel, "express this devotion to the Virgin Mary.515

I'm learning my way around … But the Bible. from what I read and what has been taught to me .. only makes sense that Mary is the Immaculate Conception .. I think it is in the Bible … The reason being is sorta a common sense answer because …
Satan and his followers … cast from heaven because of sin
Adam & Eve cast out of Eden because of sin …
Nobody can come back to heaven after death until the Messiah of sin .. because …. finally .. NO sin in heaven
God is a pure, without sin, no evil, pure existence, without stain of sin ..
Word of God pure and holy spirit also of the sin .. incapable of pure good sin …
Jesus is the Word of God made flesh
Jesus (the Word of God) was created by God in heaven gave to Mary by the Holy Spirit ..
God told the prophets before Jesus, the Messiah will come through a virgin … written in the Old Testament a lot …
As was determind to take place before God chose Mary as the Mother of God long before the birth of Jesus ….
God canot be sin .. is infallible and perfect .. .. Pura Maria had to be saved .. original sin to our Lord (the Word of God) to
      be delivered to us …
Mary is the only person. And he praised the women in the Bible down from the sky instead of backwards …
The angel said … Hail Mary full of grace .. the Lord is with thee, Blessed art thou amougnst women .. That is the grace of God, the angel is talking about … Mary is the Immaculate Conception .. Jesus would have other wise had no sin that God can do, or he would be a sinner as one of us .. and there can be no salvation from God …. Perfection is free … His unerring ….

  12. robert says:

To address your question, the first thing is the idea that all truth is revealed in "66 books" is not only in Scripture, is contradicted by the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 1 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:16).
Tradition and authority on earth, has always been an important part of Christianity and the Church.
Our Lord founded a Church …. not a book.
      (Matthew 16:18-19)
The issue of immunity from this original sin is the person of Mary at the time of the creation of its soul and its infusion into her body. The term conception does not mean the active or generative conception by her parents. His body was formed in the womb of the mother and father had the habit of sharing their skills.
The issue concerns not the immaculateness of the generative activity of her parents.
Also refer to the passive conception absolutely and simply, that, according to the order of nature, precedes the infusion of the rational soul.
The person is truly conceived when the soul is created and infused into the body.
Mary was preserved exempt from all stain of original sin in the first moment of her animation, and sanctifying grace was given before sin could have taken effect in her soul. The formal active essence of original sin was not removed from his soul, as it is extracted from others by baptism, which was not, never was in his soul. Immunity from original sin was given to Mary by a singular exemption from a universal law through the same merits of Christ, where other men are cleansed from sin by baptism. Mary needed redemption of Salvador for this exemption and will be delivered from the universal need for debt and be subject to original sin. The person of Mary, as a consequence of its origin from Adam, should have been subject to sin, but being the new Eve was to become the new Adam's mother, was, by the eternal counsel of God and the merits of Christ, withdrawn from the general law of original sin.
