Catholics, is the Rite of Reconciliation Continued Baptism?

In keeping you free from sin, is it? What about the times between, will put you in step with God still saved through the Church? Or are the "bumps" in the life of a softened by repentance until that sin can be confessed? After the confession is repentance necessary?
I know this is a number of questions, but I would like to respond to them all if you have the time. Thank you.

  1. The Questioner says:

Not all ritual of the Church can keep us free from sin. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Only through Jesus can we be saved from our sins, however, we can sin in many ways, it is always necessary to pray for forgiveness in our prayers.
