Catholics pray to idols … Why all the Catholic Christians do not believe that the idols Ore?.
Id like to clarify things. When a Catholic prays that God is raising up his mind and heart to God. When a Catholic pray to Mary or a saint, is a completely differant sense. Just ask to pray with us. A pray also for what we are praying. Makes sense. If we are praying for our grandparents surgery can pray asking Mary to pray for him too. Not much differant ask her to pray for nieghbor surgery. Mary différance is already in heaven with God. So close to God as possible. Who better to ask? It is not idolatry. Sometimes, a Catholic can pray before a statue of Mary, but not because he or she believes the statue of mary BE .. simply to help them concentrate in prayer. Why so many people from this mixture?
- Why not some Catholics think Catholics Worship Mary and idols?
- Why do Catholics pray to Mother Mary …?
- In reference to idols, when Jesus said we are not making idols, he was talking to those who were
- Why not say that Catholics Catholic Worship Mary?
- Why so many people think Catholics Worship Mary? And the Saints? As worshipers of idols?

Because they believe that what others say rather than just ask us …
The meaning of the word 'worship' means to place something in his divinity. We do not believe that a string or an icon is divine, only believe Jesus is divine.
You'll find that many are ignorant of the true Church of Jesus, which is a shame because you never know the fullness of Christ through the Eucharist, which we have been blessed with. I understand your frustration, but remember, through discussion and exchange of the calm that know the truth. By learning the truth, coming to know Jesus, for coming to know Jesus and His word, they will come to the Church. Remember, the great Protestant scholars as they seek to find and break up the church, more often than not you learn that those who are in evil and conversion to Catholicism - see Dr. Scott Hahn.

It is right to warn people against the sin of idolatry when they are committing. Calling Catholics, but they are idolatrous images of Christ and saints is based on ignorance or misunderstanding of what the Bible says about the purpose and uses (both good or bad) of statues.
Fight Catholic writer Loraine Boettner, in his book Roman Catholicism, makes the blanket statement, "God has forbidden the use of images of worship" (281). However, if people are "the Scriptures" (cf. John 5:39), they would find the opposite is true. God forbids the worship of statues, but does not prohibit the use of religious statues. Instead, he actually commanded their use in religious contexts!
God said to his health
People who oppose the religious statues forget the many passages where the Lord commands the execution of statues. For example: "And you make two cherubim of gold [ie, two gold statues of angels]; hammered work they do at both ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on one end and one cherub at the other end of a piece of the seat of mercy to the cherubim on its two ends. The cherubim stretching their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another, to the mercy seat of the faces of the cherubim be "(Exodus 25:18-20).

We do not worship statues, the cult Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Do not pray to Mary, which I invite you to pray for us Holy Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death "(Ave Maria). Ask Mary or a saint to pray for us, it is no different than asking a friend or family member to pray for you when you are going through a difficult time.
I feel terrible for those who feel they can not ask others to pray for them, should be a very lonely existence on earth. God put us here to love and care for each other, what is greater expression of love for another person of prayer? What greater act of kindness is beyond prayer?
One must always remember that only through the Son, you can reach the Father.
Thanks for bringing this issue, we have seen before, again I am sure, but each time, we expect others to understand our faith a little more.
Dios te bendiga!
Because I do not understand the difference … And because all too often simply take the word of someone else so that instead of finding themselves. "The Catholics are pagans! Pray for them to tax the pictures and stuff! "Wrong! People who do not understand what Catholics do and why you should ask a Catholic. (What a novelty!) The same applies to any religion.
I used to live in a city in which the different denominations of churches have no problem with the beliefs of others, has along with Catholics Baptists, Methodists do not enter into strife with the Presbyterian … Sometimes I miss that place.
Hollywood …….. watch any movie portrays Catholics and that is what we see ……… I am Baptist, but I have a Catholic friend explained that many of my questions to me. Although we do not agree in our practices, support their right to worship as they choose and does the same for me …….
I understand the difference, but I think that what we buy is not that Mary and other saints can hear you in heaven.
I remember saying to pray with Mary us.Ok. moses There is only one god there is no reason to ask someone who has died to pray pplus never said in the Book Mary went to heaven it assuming.Plus Just pray to God. I want to say about Mary, but I will not thank your god, it did everything.
We are not mixed until the Gospel is not against the Bible. You are implying that Mary is a kind of mediator, and he called meditrix. The Bible tells us there are only mediator between God and man is the man Jesus Christ. The qualifications of a priest in the paper tells us that Timothy should be married and be the husband of a woman holding her Childrn and one that ruleth his house, if your house is not in order, how can rule the house of God, the Bible tells us not to bow to pray to angels or saints.
We are told in Matthew, Jesus own words, to call anyone on earth your Father, which is reserved for our Father in Heaven. You say that Mary went, Where is written Believe me this is just the tip of the iceberg,
For Catholics, the Bible is secondary to men in Rome and even a Christian religion. Which have become something more.
The religion of Babylon of the Romans still lives in you.
Making the sign of T, in honor of his God, not Christ. When we use the Bible as a guide for use and removal process, you go first.
Think, is it more important to be a Catholic or a Christian believer bible ….. Thought so.
I'm ready to test my faith in front of the Bible are you? The saints elected their group have left
Ask me what a saint, If you ever read your Bible you will find that Paul wrote to the saints in Rome, the saints of Corinth etc. He was talking to people live. They are not chosen by any man. Stop bending the knee to Baal.
Put your faith to the test ..
I guess that's because of all these stories about people who have attacks of rapture because some images that may or may not look like Jesus or Mary is Someones in Cassava. Or something red starts to drip some statue of Jesus and suddenly the place becomes a sanctuary. If you do not want to be accused of worshiping statues (and I do not think that Catholics are taught to worship anyone but God), then something must be done to control these excessive emotional displays. That reflects badly on all Catholics. And I do not think that God needs to show that drip statues He is God, or to convince anyone of anything.
There are statues of Mary, Jesus, saints, apostles, and in many Catholic churches. Kneel and offer prayers in front of statues - Do you think it might have something to do with it? What does the 12 stations of the cross in front of one of the paintings or statues during Lent. BTW: write your "sense" and not "sense". "Because" and not "because". And the qoute that the Ten Commandments have a point because one of the commandments is "Do not worship any images taxed, but your knee in front of statues of Jesus on the cross. It is not getting all mixed. DO you worship "images" and this proves it.
LISTEN TO THIS
Only a fool would believe that Mary could hear their prayers. Mary is dead. The dead can not hear their prayers.
Second, Catholics have a statue of Jesus and Mary in the church. And pray and submit to the statues. Do not give me some explanations bull. It is obvious and simple. Going to Mexico and you'll see even more.
The fact that they are praying to Mary and other saints who have died, that being the STANDARD OF GOD, can be empowered to respond to you. FALSE. Only Christ / God can respond to you. Email me and we'll talk …. If you want to learn. I will demonstrate how the Bible with you, you're wrong.
When Catholics pray to Mary, it is thanks to him for anything except to do God's will and agree to give birth to Jesus. All other sentences were to ask Mary to pray with us when we pray to God.
Did you ever ask your family or friends to pray for their intentions? For Catholics, Mary and the saints in heaven are a part of our circle of friends and family.
If you say it is wrong to ask Mary and the saints to pray for and with us, then you must also say that it is wrong to ask friends and family in this life and to pray for you.
I was a Catholic at a time. Raised in the Catholic Church, indeed. So if you really do not pray to Mary and the saints and to use this image to represent Mary and the saints, then why do you have a problem with my religion? We believe in one God and many more. We call on the names to help carry our prayers to Netjes. So my Sekhmet Sekhmet statue is really, but I would like my prayers to His Netjes. So my religion is like yours then. So why do you have a problem with it? Do not tell the truth. If you are not praying to Mary, then why have to say many Hail Mary, after the confession? Do not make one? I think you could do a Hail Mary and Our Father. Why we ask your help on several occasions to bring a message to God? Why ask God over and over again for the forgiveness of sins? Is not that supposed to be just need to request a time and must be forgiven? I know that Sekhmet get upset with me if I keep asking the same thing over and over again. It's like a period of three years of asking mom a "cookie" every 5 seconds until it is one. It annoys the cr @ p you are right. When you see a bear do you call a tigre? No. Therefore, we call it really is. To pray to Mary and the saints, as I ask Sekhmet and the other names Netjes.
Senebty
You said, "Who better to ask" in his statement. Why not ask Jesus? He said the only way the Father is through him. Or why not ask God? Prayer is a direct line to the Lord. I think many people how the issue of Catholics to pray because it makes no sense for them. Why pray "for" or Mary or the saints? Why not pray directly to God? Mary was chosen for his role as did Matthew and Judas were (I'm not comparing Judas to Mary). The 12 disciples of Jesus are trustworthy and certainly on his side. Why not pray for them?
Misinformed and taken in a direction ridcule. That's why communication is fucked.
This is a tactic that most people discredit. Why (weak minded) believe this?
The RCC has statues of saints and praying with them. Embrace and honor the images made by man. A picture is worth 1,000 words. Here is the potato. http://acts1711.com/repent2.jpg
Biblical Christians see this as a crime against the command imposed on the images.
Mal, O. Maybe I should consult the "veneration of the saints" in the Cathecism and according to the instructions of the "infalliable" Papa.
Honestly, just look silly when Catholics do not know why or what their religion teaches.
Thanks for clearing that up. Misunderstand the religious practices of the people all the time.
, I make really easy, I pray to God directly. Directly to the top, not "half man". I am not trying to say they're wrong, and I think God looks first at the sincerity in the heart rather than religious practices or rituals. Good luck to you, patience is sometimes difficult when people say ignorant things about something so important to you.
Why bow and asked Mary to pray to God when the Bible says clearly that not bow to any image! Show me in the Bible where you have to or need to request Mary to pray for someone? I have to bypass the page (many times). When I pray I pray to God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost directly. I also understand that God, Jesus and the Holly Spirit is only one God in 3 forms. Pray to God your car is the way God wanted.
I have heard many times, say a Catholic,''to pray to Saint so and so.'' That is why I believe.
Even you say that you said,''asking to pray to Mary his —''.
Please understand that I am giving a completely objective opinion, and I do not think anything negative about their religion. I'm comparing their thoughts to a couple of definitions. Do not say I did not know enough or do not know the difference, because I study many religions. I just want you to know why people see thiings in this way. I know that does not worship any of these statues. But fact is fact. This is what I see.
I'm not saying that you are worshiping idols, but you are talking to a person who has died. What is prayer if not talk to a spirit? You are not putting in front of God, so there is no commandment broken. But when you walk into a room, and look at the statue in his dressing room and ask him to protect you while you sleep, or if you walk into a church and knees under the statue of Mary and ask her to pray for their sins are it by definition and in fact, praying to an idol.
Paul told the Romans, who had converted to Christianity and continued to pray to their idols, their heroes are deaf and dumb. They can not hear what they want, they can not lift a finger to help them, and can not answer for them. When Roman Catholics Cary pendants of saints or statues of saints, or to put crosses on their walls, or spread of Holy Water in a room, iconoclastism join. Based on my observation, when someonewalks into a church and walks to the statue of Mary and asks her to pray for their sins, and then puts a rose in front of it, are committing Idolatry. It's that simple. Jesus said, 'I am the way, truth and light. No one comes to the Father except through me. "
Why do you need to ask Mary to pray for you when you should ask instead of Jesus. Mary can not hear you. She is asleep in his grave until the day of trial. You said, "Who better to ask", I say Jesus.
One time, I saw a scene on the television news that can only be described as incredible. The scene was in a Latin American country in one of the many Catholic "holidays" in honor of Mary. A statue of Mary had been placed on a shelf, and the platform is being carried through the streets on the backs of several men. People were dancing around the platform, while many more lined the streets. Like the statue, the people on the sides of the streets were prostrate itself upside down on the floor before the statue. The Catholic Church can call this hyperdulia, worship, or what they want, but what I saw was Mary, or more correctly, a stature of Mary, who is worshiped.
I am a non-Catholic Christian, and I've never believed that Catholics pray to idols. I understand the concept behind the statues. Please do not insult the intelligence of all non-Catholics.
God is a spirit. Those who worship him must do so in spirit and in truth. Many sc4iptures prohibiting the use in the worship of idols.
theyre probably wondering why the statues are there thryre from all those mentioned in the Bible does not have … helped me to focus on closing the eyes and not the music
So why have these things, that Scripture condemns?
1Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that poor people do not receive the kingdom of God? Do not be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. ***** Nor those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery *****. Nor were the men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Nor thieves or people who always want more and more. Nor those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like you will not receive the kingdom of God. 11 Some who used to do those things. But their sins were washed away. Which became a saint. Which were made with God. All this was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God.
Leviticus 26:1 "Do not make statues of the gods to you. Do not create an image of a god or a sacred stone for yourselves. Do not place a stone on his land and in front of the arc. I am the Lord your God.
The official position of the Catholic Church is the church is entitled to overlook the writing or making new "scripts" that people are supposed to follow. This practice is condemned in several passages.
John 20:30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in front of his disciples. Are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. If you believe this, you will have life because you belong to him. - The Scriptures are sufficient. Nothing more is needed.
Revelation 22:18 I am warning everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If you add something to them, God will join you told about the plagues in the book. 19 If you take any word out of this book of prophecy, God will remove his hand from you in the tree of life. He also takes his place in the Holy City. This book talks about these things. - Nothing in Scripture is to be changed.
well I do not think that you pray to a statue to say, but you have idols in the church, that our Bible is against
It is your faith - you have the right to use the works, brings comfort to you, and do it the way you want. Some Christians, however, think they have all the answers, which is a problem I have with Christianity. I am a witch, and I respect all faiths, as long as no harm, and respect for my path.
where in the Bible instructs us not to ask people to help pray dead?
100% agree. People do not take the time to learn why we Catholics it seems to keep things out of context. I'm glad you brought this and I am glad there is someone who believes in this as I do.
Because you pray to idols
I pray to God
Pray to Jesus
Pray that the Holy Spirit
To pray to Mary
To pray to any number of lesser idols
No wonder that Muslims are angry, along with many others being The One True God. Maybe I should think about what they believe.
True that!
Supongo que usted no está para nadie, excepto a orar a Dios por cualquier razón, incluso a pedir a orar por usted con usted lo que sea. We have made the religion so convenient for ourselves!
i like the statues, especially at home. seem to be watching my every move. so behave. go to the bathroom until it is.
