Do you really want The VERC?
Can you say that verse 1 says to pray to Mary, or confess their sins to a priest, or confirm the existence of a place called Purgatory? I thought I noticed some problems with Catholic beliefs too.

Sure, give me the lyrics!
They do not need the word of God - which is the word potato.
HA!
Trollin, trollin, trollin …….
Praying to Mary: Exodus 20:12 (and elsewhere) - "Honor thy father and thy mother." Because Jesus is without sin, we know that He honors his mother, Mary, perfectly. See also wedding at Cana in John 2. Mary tells Jesus that is necessary. Jesus said that it was his time. Mary tells the servants to follow Jesus. Jesus Maria is bent to the request and begins his public ministry. Therefore, we know that Jesus hears the petitions of Mary. See also John 5:24 (and elsewhere), "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life. Since we know that Mary hears the Word of God and fully believed that Jesus is the Messiah (see Luke 1 if you doubt it), it has eternal life, which means that she is not dead but living. If she lives in heaven with Jesus, you can still do what he did on earth in John 2, which is to intercede for us and tell us to follow Jesus.
From Fr. K did a good job, I would simply add this one to confess sins to a priest: James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for one another so that you can be healed . — It's people who do not confess your sins to someone who is violating Scripture, not Catholics.
Purgatory: 2 Cor 5:10 "For we must all appear before the tribunal of Christ, so that each one may receive good or evil, as it has done in the body." See also: Psalm 66 : 12, Mt 12:32, Phil 2:10-11, Ecc 12:14, Luke 16:19-31, 1 Thess 3:13, it is 4:4 (cf. Eph 4:8 - 10, 4: 7 6:5-7 1 Pet 3:19-20) 2 Tim 1:16-18, Mic 7:8-9, 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, Hebrews 12:14, Mal 3:1 -4 15: 29 12:29, Rev 5:3,13, Monte 5:25-6, Luke 12:58-9, 7:1, 21:27. In other words, it is often said in Scripture that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and that "nothing unclean can enter heaven," and that Jesus is the one we washed clean. If you're not clean, while still in the flesh and we must be clean before we can enter heaven, there is a cleaning process between the flesh and the sky. This process is Purgatory.
Behold, more than one verse of Scripture, but many of the references to support the Catholic teaching on these issues.
First ….. is denied the premise, and it is impossible to reach a valid conclusion to do so. Not all of the Fe is contained in Sacred Scripture. We know this for several reasons …. one of which is because the Scripture tells us this: http://www.call2holiness.org/ScriptureAl …
MARY QUEEN MOTHER - AS ATTORNEY
(Jesus can not refuse his mother.)
"… Then Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king stood up to meet her and paid her homage. Then he sat on his throne, a throne and the king was given to the mother, who sat on his right. "There is a small favor to ask you," he said. "I do not deny." "Ask him, my mother," the king said, "I will not deny that …." (cf. I Kings 2:19-20)
The Blessed Mother of God is the daughter of the Father, Son and the Mother of the Bride of the Holy Spirit. She has a relationship with the Triune God, unlike any other creature. His role as attorney for the children of God is unlike any other creature, too.
Dr. Miravalle describes this way: "In the great kingdoms of David of the Old Testament, the mother of the king traditionally the office of the" queen mother "(or" Gebirah "in Hebrew literally means" Great Lady " ; (cf. 1Ki 2:11,19). The main role of the Queen Mother was to serve as an advocate or intercessor on behalf of the people of Israel to his son King.
"In the New Testament, with the announcement of the new and eternal King of the Kingdom of God (cf. Lk. 1:32-33), also receives a new humanity Queen Mother, as the main defender of the people of God in presented their needs to Jesus Christ, King of Kings .. Its incidence is clearly manifested at Cana, interceding on behalf of wine without a physical, but ultimately, the wine of the Eucharist and his spiritual son (Jn.2 :1-10). On Calvary, the Cross introduced the King and Queen Mother in the world as a gift to everyone in his kingdom (John 19:27). And in Revelation, the new Queen Mother in the universal and eternal Kingdom of Christ is crowned with twelve stars (Rev. 12:1), like her, in the battle series, still life and death for humanity in promotion spiritual warfare against the dragon-foe.
The term "Israel" refers to "the people of God." Obviously, the Church is the "New Israel." See Galatians 4:28, Gal 6:14-16, Eph 2:11-12, Hebrews 8:1-13; 1PE 2:1-10, Matthew 21:33-46, 1 John 2:22, 22 Luk :17-20, 1 Cor 11:23-29; 2CO 3:4-18, Hebrews 7:17-28, Hebrews 9:13-24, Hebrews 12:24, Hebrews 13:8-21, March 26:26 — - 29 Mar 14:22-25

The Sacrament of Reconciliation
Forgiveness of sins:
But how can a man in his weakness, to recover once lost sanctifying grace?
God in his infinite wisdom and mercy, not only gave us his only Son to open the gates of heaven for us, but He gave us the sacrament of baptism as our approval, and that the claim through the merits of Christ. God not only gave us the sacrament of Baptism, but also gave us the Sacrament of Reconciliation in which we may receive forgiveness of sins committed after, if we seek his forgiveness with a sincere heart and repent.
But the Catholic Church teaches that priests forgive mortal sins, how can that be? The Catholic Church teaches that mortal sins committed after having received baptism can be forgiven by God through his priests in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It has given us his word about the following:
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. " And when he had said this, breathed on them and told them: "Receive the Holy Spirit. Who forgives sins are forgiven, whose sins you retain are retained. " (Cf. Jn 20:21-23)
"… And all this comes from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation … "(cf. 2 Corhttp: / / http://www.call2holiness.org/faith.html
.
You are correct.
Worship, or praying to Mary is not fully compatible with the Bible.
It is a perversion of what is right for Christianity today.
The Bible is clear that we must pray to God Almighty, which is the name of the Lord, not Jesus, not Mary, not saints, but only to the Lord.
While true Christians do appreciate what Mary did for Jesus, his right of recovery, etc, continue what Jesus said and what he did, and pray to his heavenly father Jehovah.
For more information on the bible PLZ feel free to write me.
that were written by men
YES! Well, you know that will probably show some of their special Catholic Bible … you know, which is different from the original of the Scriptures, because Catholics are special and have a special Bible.
CALLING ALL atheists, Atheists CALLING ALL ….
Quick fast boys! Christians are fighting each other again! Someone bring popcorn!
You are so funny when you can not even talk about God of agreement between yourself - and then the blame for not buying anywhere!
no verses that tell anyone to pray to Mary or a priest
Purgatory? never saw that in any Bible that I read!
everything that is invented by man
in fact, Jesus taught his followers to pray.
Read Matthew 6: 5-15
in these verses also see his "model prayer"
I will make a confession:
Jesus Christ given to his apostles authority to forgive sins:
John 20:21 - before He grants them the authority to forgive sins, Jesus says to the apostles, "as the Father sent me, so I send you." As Christ was sent by the Father to forgive sins, so Christ sends the apostles and their successors forgive sins.
John 20:22 - the Lord "breathes" on the apostles, and then gives them the power to forgive and retain sins. The only other time in Scripture where God breathes on man in general is 2:7, when God "breathes" divine life in man. When this happens, a major transformation takes place.
John 20:23 - Jesus says: "If you forgive the sins they are forgiven. If retengáis, they are held. "In order for the apostles to exercise this gift of forgiving sins, the penitents must orally confess their sins to the apostles because there are no readers. The text makes this very clear.
Matt. 9:8 - this verse shows that God has given authority to forgive sins to "men". Thus, Protestants who acknowledge that the apostles had the authority to forgive sins (which this verse demonstrates) must prove that this gift ended with the apostles. Otherwise, the apostles' successors still possess this gift. Where in Scripture is the gift of authority to forgive sins away from the apostles or their successors?
Matt. 9:6, Mark 2:10 - Christ forgave the sins that a man (not God) to convince us that the "Son of man" has authority to forgive sins on earth.
Luke 5:24 - Luke notes that Jesus' authority to forgive sins is as a man, not God. The Gospel writers record this to convince us that God has given this authority to men. This authority has been transferred from Christ to the apostles and their successors.
Matt. 18:18 - the apostles are given the authority to bind and loose. The authority to bind the government and released in time and includes the elimination of penalties due to sin. The Jews understood this since the birth of the Church.
John 20:22-23, Matt. 18:18 - the power to transfer / retain sin is also the option to transfer / retain the punishment due to sin. If Christ's ministers can forgive the eternal penalty of sin, which may refer the temporal punishment of sin (called an "indulgence").
2 Cor. 2:10 - Paul forgives in the presence of Christ (some translations refer to the presence of Christ as "in persona Christi"). Some say this may be a reference to sins.
2 Cor. 5:18 - the ministry of reconciliation was given to the ambassadors of the Church. This ministry of reconciliation refers to the sacrament of reconciliation, also called the sacrament of confession or penance.
James 5:15-16 - in verse 15 we see that sins are forgiven by the priests in the sacrament of the sick. This is another example of man's authority to forgive sins on earth. Then in verse 16, James said: "Therefore, confess our sins to each other", referring to the men referred to in verse 15, the priests of the Church.
1 Tim. 2:5 - Christ is the only mediator, but he was free to decide how His mediation would be applied to us. The Lord chose the priests of God to carry out its work of forgiveness.
Lev. 5:4-6, 19:21-22 - even in the Old Covenant, God used priests to forgive and atone for the sins of others.
James 5:16 - James clearly teaches us that we must "confess our sins to each other," not just privately to God. James 5:16 must be read in the context of James 5:14-15, which refers to the healing power (both physical and spiritual) of the priests of the Church. Therefore, when James says "therefore" in verse 16, which should refer to the men he was writing about in verses 14 and 15 - these men are the ordained priests of the Church to whom we must confess our sins.
Acts 19:18 - many came to orally confess sins and divulge their sinful practices. Oral confession was the practice of the early Church as it is today.
Matt. 3:6, Mark 1:5 - again, this shows people confessing their sins before others as a historical practice (here to John the Baptist).
1 Tim. 6:12 - this verse also refers to the historical practice of confessing sins and faith in the presence of many witnesses.
1 John 1:9 - if they are to confess our sins, God is faithful to us and forgive us and cleanse us. But we must confess our sins to one another.
Num 5:7 - this shows the historical practice of publicly confessing sins, and making public restitution.
2 Sam. 12:14 - despite the fact that sin is forgiven, the punishment due for sin forgiven. David is forgiven but his child was still taken (the consequence of his sin).
Neh. 9:2-3 - the Israelites was before the assembly and confessed sins publicly and interceded for each other.
Lord. 4:26 - God tells us that he is not ashamed to confess our sins, and not to try to stem the flow of a river. Anyone who has experienced the sacrament of reconciliation understands the import of this verse.
Baruch 1:14 - again, this shows that the people made the confession in the house of the Lord, before the assembly.
1 John 5:16-17, Luke 12:47-48 - there is a distinction between mortal and venial sins. This has been the teaching of the Catholic Church for 2000 years, but today, most Protestants no longer agree that there is such a distinction. Mortal sins lead to death and must be absolved in the sacrament of reconciliation. Venial sins need not be confessed to a priest, but the pious Catholic practice is to do in order to move forward on our path to holiness.
Matt. 5:19 - Jesus teaches that breaking the least of commandments is venial sin (the person remains, but is saved in the kingdom), versus mortal sin (the person is not saved).
I like the "why can not we get along just?"
I found Scripture to try other items, you must also obey these because "it is written"
Since God Haemorrhoids
"The Lord will smite with the botch of Egypt, and the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, which you can not be healed." (Deuteronomy 28:27)
"But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them and wounded them emerods, [even] Ashdod and the coasts thereof" (I Samuel 5:6)
"And it was [so], that, having taken upon himself the hand of the LORD was against the city with a great destruction and wounded men of the city, large and small, and had in emerods their secret parts. "(I Samuel 5:9)
Commentary
When Israel felt rebellious against God's plan, He threatened them with the kind of plague: "emerods" or by today's terminology, "hemorrhoids."
No wonder why so many atheists consider God a pain in the ***. But, again, Christians and Jews also develop hemorrhoids. If you happen to develop hemorrhoids, then you can trust the Bible that God considers you an enemy.
God Intestinal Diseases
"Here's a great plague which the LORD smite thy people and your sons and your wife and your property: And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of your bowels, until your insides fall to the disease day by day. " (II Chronicles 21:14-15)
"And after all this the LORD smote it in his bowels with an incurable disease. Came to pass, that in the process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people will not burn for him, as the burning of his fathers. "(II Chronicles 12:18-19)
Commentary
Another of the many instances in the Bible where the Lord smit, not only men but all people, including women and children.
Why does God refer to himself with an incurable disease where the bowel cruel guts spilled out of the abdomen, goes beyond human decency and understanding.
Fecal Fetish God
"If you do not listen, and if you do not get to the heart to bring glory to my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: Yes, I have cursed them already, because Do not get to the heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread manure faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts, and you'll have a distance therefrom. "(Malachi 2:2-3)
Commentary
Surprisingly it seems that God has a fecal fetish.
This commandment said to the priests for the Lord gives the example of the threat of satanic curses He seems to enjoy. What should one think of a God who smear feces on the faces of his creations? Such vulgarity can hardly give good example to high morality.
