Do you think Atheists will go to heaven even if you live a good life?
Here is a question that I wonder and I see many hypocrites unanswered. I have asked the Catholic priests (I'm Catholic) and really agree with my position. I personally believe that anyone can reach the kingdom of heaven, because everything that we really have to do is live a human life and treat others well. Honestly I know some atheists who do so much better than many Christians I know.
I also believe that any religion or way of life is really very good. For me they are all just different paths towards the same goal and that is making the best of things and simply enjoy life. People have many different ways.
One of the great things I love about the Catholic religion is the idea of purgatory. For me it is bigger because there is evidence of a loving God. Sure a mixture of heaven and hell, but gives each one, basically, proof that it exists and allows the choice of spending eternity int kingdom of heaven with him, or go to hell.

Just beacause you haze to be a Christian and go to church does not make you a Christian. He is known for their acts. actions speak louder than words. none of these signs of a bell?

Why should it be heaven to those who do not believe in heaven?
God is a person. Here is someone who speaks the Word of God. Read it and see if you can believe.
So this person who reads the Word of God decides that he does not believe in it.

I think if I had never known the truth, but simply had lived a good clean life without knowing anything about God or Christianity, and could go to heaven based on her life.

I fear it is dangerous to begin to change or reinterpret what the Bible says. It is very clear and simple statements - the only way, the way is through Jesus. No man goes to the Father except through the Son.
Someone once asked me the same thing about Gandhi, I had to say no because he was not a Christian or a child-someone who never knew about Jesus and who do not have the opportunity to be saved, but it could go - Gandhi was asked why not Christian and his response was that it would be if you ever met one that speaks of the hypocrisy that is alluding to. Nobody is perfect, but some make you holy act that is contrary to all true Christians tenants.

Not to be rude, but I have no idea who the hell you are and probably never will, so why would believe what you believe is right? Where can I read the Bible and see it there in black and white ….. "not everyone who calls the name Lord Lord shall be saved." The Bible clearly says, "No one will enter the kingdom of heaven, but by me" … Jesus Christ.
There are good people eternaty spending in hell because they do not accept Christ as the savior of his life, and repent of their sins.
Purgatory …. Of course, the priest agreed with you …. he taught. But ask him to show you in the Bible where it says that there Purgatory …. I bet you can not display. But he was able to demonstrate that there is life and death, after his life here on earth before the Lord and give account of his life, if your name is not in the book of life, passing eternaty in hell.

Jesus does not say no, there are good go to heaven, if we mean to burn in hell. Also, not only says that some sins are forgiven …. says all are. Murdurer, rapist, thief, liar, gossip, etc … the Bible says sin is sin "as a lie is a lie, of course it may seem as though some are larger than others, but there is still …. same with sin. So who are you to judge what God forgive our sins and what is not?

I think a true Atheist do not believe in heaven. But Christians believe that the only way to heaven is by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and asking to be forgiven all their sins. It has nothing to do with being "good" or "bad." All sins! In the eyes of God is a sin as bad the next. He does not say "Well you're a bad person make you stole something worth $ 100,000.00." and say to the following type Arnt Oh so bad that you accidentally took a pen because of his work. " Sin is sin in God's eyes. Go to Heaven through the Lord Jesus, and in any other way. I have heard it said once, "I want to live my life and not believe there is a God and die and know that no one had to live my life not believing in him and die and know that there is a God." Eternal life is a free gift, so why would anyone pass that up?
Jesus said that no one comes to the Father but by Him … He is the Way the Truth and Life, saying anyone can come to God by themselves, as well, calls Jesus a liar.
I think it's wrong to ask the question for a response. The question should be if an atheist believes in Lucifer. I think if one believes that Lucifer Atheists and still lives there life with a purpose, God granted him favor.
Athiests will not be in heaven, do not believe in God or that Jesus was the Son of God. The only way to heaven is to believe that God sent a son to reconcile his sins. John chapter 14 is testimony to this truth. Jesus is the only way to heaven … plain and simple.
As a Christian who is moving through your walk with Christ, who will come to know his identity in it. You should see a difference in these more mature Christians. Most of the writings of Paul in the Bible is an attempt to get the Church to act in a manner consistent with their identity.
Chapter Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, lest any man should boast."
Make as much as you want good works, good works are a testament to his character. However, this verse shows that if not under the grace of God, accepting his sacrifice, then they are saved and not go to heaven. His character and his actions did not cleanse their sins. Only Jesus can.

That's a good idea, but totally untrue. John 14, again said that Jesus is the way … if you get another religion in another way, besides Jesus … is false. His life on earth is your chance to choose God or to hell. Renounce their selfish desires, to assume the wishes of God for 60-80 years to be rewarded with eternity in paradise seems like a bargain to me.
In response to his murderer thought. Allowing a man wearing a very sinful life yet to come into heaven if they are kept in the bed of death testifies to the enormous grace of God. This concept boggles the mind … we can reach other crazy offender per minute. God's grace is sufficient for our sins … our actions do not dictate our eternal life, our faith in the actions of His Son is what will determine whether we end up in the sky.
I agree. life is about treating people, animals and human nature. Loving life and loving everything that involves life! You do not have to be part of an official religion is important or worthy of God. If there is a heaven, everything is gonna be good!

I do not know. I hope so, I want to say I love the people who are athiests, I can not imagine any other place besides heaven really. But who really knows anyway?
The doctrine of Purgatory is a slap in the face of God. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross was enough to save you from all your sins. You do not have to suffer punishment in the afterlife. Jesus paid it all. That Christians are going directly to Heaven is an example of a more humane and loving God to punish His own Son for our sins, then we are forced to be punished too.

I'm Catholic, too. And the priest is right. The man is not always the law of God, in the sense that, under the law of God, even an atheist can go to heaven, even if he / she is not aware of his commandments. The man of the law also says that "ignorance of the law is no excuse for their performance" - meaning, no Atheist on man-made laws - or suffer the consiquence for not knowing. Living Well is leading the way in your life through Jesus.
No, they will not go to Heaven. The only reason to go to heaven is if you have a relationship with Jesus and love God. The only reason for being in heaven is to praise their God. Why be in heaven when you're there not doing what is suppose to? And why take the risk and drown in a lake of fire for eternity?
And another thing … We have no proof that there is a pergatory. It says nothing in the Bible about pergatory. Come directly to heaven or straight to hell.

Could it be that people prefer to exercise their God "God-given" intelligence and skepticism sincerely seek a level of understanding limited only by the scope of its powers. How do you know God in purgatory shows that there were there, how do you know there really is heaven, but live a good life so if their is a sky that could have the opportunity, ie, if the you say is true.
I totally agree with you. I think most people go to heaven. Only people who intend to make people so horrible misery and conflict do not. But if they do realize what he did was wrong and stop, you have to go to the kingdom of heaven.
