Like most Christians would agree that the level of authority in Christianity is the Bible then that is where your answer. The Bible says that the true Church was built on the foundation of the prophets and apostles, and as such, for a reunion to be truly a Church, as defined in the Word of God, there must be an apostle as founding members . Is said to be a true Church date back to the apostolic era, which excludes all meetings Protestants. This leaves only the "Catholic" Church, which literally means "universal" Church, not only Roman Catholics as many believe. They are Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox, who broke with the Romans in AD 1054 and lastle the Oriental Orthodox Churches, of which the originals before the Roman Catholic. These include the Church of Jerusalem is the original church, which happened on the day of Pentecost. The Church of Antioch in which we read about the acts and where Christians were called "Christians" and the Church of Alexandria, founded by Mark that we recorded for the second Gospel. But one can not assume that all these have remained loyal to the faith we need to look to the Holy Spirit inspired Word of God to see that the Lord is acknowledged in the day of the trial. The following prophetic words of Isaiah tells us which of the "altar", as they are known to be places of worship, it is recognized. "In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, the Assyrians, and shall enter into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day Israel will be one of the three with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25 of whom the Lord of hosts will bless, saying, "Blessed be my people Egypt, Assyria and work my hands, and Israel My inheritance. "Isaiah 19:23 Of course, those outside the apostolic and true "Catholic" churches try to explain these verses twisting by attempting to change its meaning or its context, but ask who is right, the Holy Spirit that inspired the prophet Isaiah or persons today need to justify their claims of authenticity meetings?

Catholicism is not Christian. Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works that leads to eternal torment in hell (Galatians 1:6-9). It is clear from the Book of Acts in the Bible that Catholics did not even exist in the days of the event. Those in the Book of Acts are the early Christians believed and what is called a fundamentalist doctrine today. Anyone can read the Book of Acts and see for themselves. Catholicism had existed during the time of Acts, the early Christians were completely rejected Catholicism. Christians here also that the "pope" the Antichrist, and also totally rejects Catholicism, long before Martin Luther was even born: c. 1310 Dante Alighieri c. 1331 Michael of Cesena c. 1345 Johannes de Rupescissa c. 1350 Francesco Petrarca c. 1367 John Milicz c. 1379 John Wycliffe c. 1388 Matthias of Janow c. 1389 R. Wimbledon c. 1390 John provided c. 1393 Walter Gross c. 1412 John Huss c. 1497 Girolamo Savonarola So not only is it wrong to say that "Catholics were the first Christians," but this list blows away from the Catholic claim that "there are no other churches in the Catholic church, until Martin Luther." I had always kept away from the faithful Catholics in worship, knowing Catholicism can not save anyone. Catholicism is not Christian. Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works can not save (Gal. 1:6-9). Catholicism can not save. Just believing in Jesus alone for salvation, is what saves. Salvation is a free gift that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, 1 John 5:13). The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and reach heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing in faith alone that Jesus is God, died for our sins on the cross as full payment for all our sins, then Jesus was resurrected from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). And I think this will be in heaven, no matter what! Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Thank you for eternal life! "You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

John (Fire) Personally, I think you should choose to be a Christian. I do not follow any man made doctrines. Use only the Bible to make such decisions. If you find that the Catholic Church is still "only the Bible and not man for the doctrine then you should convert. Otherwise, continue to read and study your Bible and find a church that does the same. The first century Christians of Antioch called themselves Christians. They do not need any degree or another man to make decisions for them. The Bible tells us exactly what we should do (in my opinion). Have a great week. Thank you, Eds ~ ~ ~ .

I understand your dilemma. When I was young, I wanted to convert. My mother was incredulous and never considered that possibility. Sorta like "on his body" and who were Episcopalians. Not much of a difference. I still want to convert, but what I have now is I'm not sure I can really agree with everything any church. I think I agree with what is most important, but the question really history. I am sure that many of the stories are illustrative and not always in fact. So God bless you, pray a lot, keep learning, and when they are outside of their parents and of itself, make its decision. Between now and then, you can have changes in their belief, or perhaps to be strengthened. It will not hurt to wait.
