If Catholics are Christians so why ask for Mary Help?

Because it is our friend and Spiritual Mother given to us by Christ on the cross when he said to his San Juan, and "Son behold your mother" and "Woman behold your son" in reference to San Juan at the time is symbolic for all of us.
Pray the Rosary and receive the sacraments

For the same reason that prompted his fellow Christians for help.
She is an intermediate: it is not necessary but useful for some to close the gap between man and God.
Protestants always a big fuss about Catholics, but I do not think that Mary and other saints of God are: they feel just a little more on them and get inspired by their lives.

  2. Sindala says:

Did you ever seek help for his mother? A friend or family member? Did you ever ask them for their prayers for a time of need?
That's what they do when Catholics pray to Mary. Pray = / = religion. Praying = ask. Only the Catholics worship the Trinity, not only do no less. Like the Protestants do.

OK attacked before becoming an atheist (which is what, what looks like the answer) The reason Catholics "appear" to pray to Mary and other saints is that every saint is a specialist in some way. Some may ask St. Francis of Assisi to pray with them to get your animal is healthy because the Holy One of the animals. Not your prayer to them, instead of God, over them with prayer to Jesus Christ.
In my opinion all religions are a joke anyway, but I was a Catholic and studied theology

As for intercessory prayer or praying to Mary and the saints that Catholics do not pray for the dead, pray for life! those living with the living Christ is more than us because they are enjoying the beatific vision for eternity. As Jesus said, God is not God of the dead, but of the living. Therefore, to invoke their assistance by asking them to pray for us. It's as simple as that. Yes, pray to God directly. But also ask our brothers and sisters who have preceded us to pray to God for us. Like if I asked you to pray for me. The Catholic Church is the family of God, both on earth and in heaven. We are not separated from our loved ones in heaven, but through Christ, joining them through the Church. From the prayers of the righteous are powerful and those who are righteous in heaven, we seek your prayers are more powerful than we can be.
Scripture is full of verses that speak of the intercessory prayer, in Revelation we see how the prayers of the saints rise as incense before the throne of God, God allows us to participate in the mediation of Christ for prayer for others.
Of course, since the Protestant Reformation has lost that sense of advocacy and today can not understand what has been lost.
      God bless.

As the first and the only Christian Church for the year 1054, we will live forever, as the saints before us. We ask prayers for anyone who has faith. We believe that the saints and martyrs that intercessory prayer their highest priority, as they are in God's presence.

Because she is very close to her son Jesus. Remember Jesus' first miracle, changing water into wine at the wedding? His mother ask him to do this for the bride and groom. That is just a sample. We also call upon the saints for help, too. The more you get the prayers of the saints and Mary, most people here in the land of the best I always say. I hope this helps you understand.

  7. denise t says:

ask Mary and the saints to pray for us like you would ask your family and friends to pray for you. We do not worship Mary or the saints. We honor them for their lives for God and His Will. God alone deserves worship.

  8. Karenita EWTN ((Allecat)) says:

Because we have the people, are you people? My network is full of people to help me. Sorry if you're missing! God bless.

  9. Believer, wife & mother says:

Because they have a particular interpretation of the role of saints in heaven.

  10. enarchay says:

If you can not ask a fellow Christian to pray for you, then I am not sure that you're coming from!
