If the Catholic Church is against homosexuality, then, Who has a large bust of Antinous in the Vatican?

Very good question .. I have no idea .. but I am waiting to what are the answers. This is going to be good.
  EDIT ——–
  Sam
After considering his question I did some research on Hadrian, Antinous and the Vatican.
It's mind blowing to see who and what they chose as the Vatican in the art.
The wealth of Roman emperors and the influence they have is amazing. Villa Adriana is incredible.
The wealth and influence of the Catholic organization is second to the previous emperors.
  One wonders ..

I do not see the connection between a piece of sculpture and homosexuality. Are you one of those who can not handle the nude statues? I have a problem with them, whether man or woman.
Besides, I do not think that Catholics are really hyped about homophobia as much as some conservative Protestants. Westboro Baptist to say out loud what many other people are thinking.

Even Catholics are poncy enough to want to say they love the old art. Tosh their all, but who really cares. We are not the Taliban or we would have had to be flown. Would you have preferred that. I would like, but that's me.

  9. Maxi Robespierre says:

Sam, dear heart, this is one of the many contradictions that exist in the Catholic Church. Not all of the Catholic Church is against homosexuality. The Catholic Church is the body of Christ on earth, the Bride of Christ. The Church, therefore, is a gay, lesbian, transgender and straight people. Please do not confuse the hierarchy of the Church on earth, the administrative branch, so to speak, for the whole of the Church.
Just as the Church said he did not condemn the sinner, but sin, so also must remember that should not condemn the whole of the Catholic Church on the administrative doctrine of the Holy Sea. On a more personal note, I do not see Christ on the cross as an icon that is limited to the Catholic Church.
Let's not make the same mistake as our opponents pigeon hole that whole groups (such as bad they say that the mind all homosexuals are perverts that hang in public bathrooms for sex). Maybe we should set an example - as the man on the cross?
Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson against homosexuality. They were the two that were on him. Both are [were, in the case of Falwell] destructive people who should be banned for life. Both preach morality and sin in their views, which gives them that right I do not know, but there is available on television that religion and the great mega-churches in a [call me mega tents, which was the origin of that evangelical movement] very high position and that is just ridiculous. I'm not letting off the hook Billy Graham or a great preacher who made tons of money.

If the Catholic Church is against public displays of ecstasy, why is the statue of St. Teresa of transverberation Bernini. I was as smart as you wish.
